A message preached in 2002. Now I am 19 and profoundly getting impacted by it. Unwasted message, unwasted preaching and unwasted life onto the soverign and powerful handfall of our glorious God!
"And I think it is baffling and presumptuous to assume that pro-abortion policies kill more people than a culture-saturating, pro-self pride." Who is he talking to here? All pro-life people. Here is what I wrote him: "John, after mulling over your article for a year and a half (I’m admittedly slow) I think I have distilled my utter contempt for what you wrote down to a single word: presumptuous. Do you want to know why? You called the whole of the prolife community presumptuous for thinking abortion kills more people than Trump’s pride. (I have asked you repeatedly where Trump hid the bodies, and, true to character, you ignore the question.). I’ve always thought there were pejorative connotations to that word, and therefor I was shocked that you would so blithely put a whole class of people under that label. So I looked up synonyms for “presumptuous.” Here is what I found: Arrogant. Foolhardy. Overconfident. Pompous. Pretentious. Pushy. Rude. Smug. Do you see why people hold you in such low regard? My goodness, man, WAKE UP!"
Piper, Who were you listening to? After hearing your prolife sermons again I’m convinced that there is no way you would have written against Trump (on the eve of the election, no less) unless someone pretty powerful influenced you. Who was it? Of course you are still culpable; no one forced you to write those cutting, disingenuous words. But in my heart I need to think that left uninfluenced, you would have realized just what was at stake, held your nose and voted for Trump. So who was it? That attorney whose young daughter was in tears because someone told her that Trump would deport all Muslims? I’ll try to find his name. In the future, don’t let yourself fall under the influence of fools, no matter how much education they have. They have done you wrong, friend.
If I may, I grew up in John Piper's church, and though I'm aware of my bias, I don't just follow blindly. I've studied God's Word, I've sat under the teaching of a wide range of well-founded teachers of Scripture, and believe me, I'm starting to understand just how little I understand. However, I would encourage you to consider two things: One, that I have sat under John Piper's teaching as a part of his church since I was a child and have seen his faith in action all those years. I've found him to be rooted in Christ, aware and repentant of his own sin, and sound in his understanding of Scripture. But secondly, he is still human and just as imperfect as any other man, capable of making mistakes. May I encourage you, please don't pass judgment flippantly without considering the context of Pastor Piper's life, but judge with a right judgment.
@@SeenAGreatLight I myself went to Piper’s church in the late 90’s. I was particularly impressed with his sermons on abortion, and they helped shaped my current thinking. He knows exactly what is at stake. He knows the horrible result of his actions. Unfortunately, he appears reluctant to apologize, and by the grace of God I hope what I’m doing here will help him see that is his only option. Pray that he will see what I’ve written. Pray that he will respond with humility.
@@VengefulPolititron He was a real pastor, believe me. I went to his church. Unless he repents, he has disqualified himself, and needs to quit referring to himself as such.

You are the one under the influence of fools. Your false claims and baseless accusations show how you need to repent.
notice, he's standing on a flat black hexagon.... if you know this symbolism. I don't think he's a real pastor.
