My boyfriend and I are booked on World America May 3,2025. It’s our first MSC cruise and I hope we enjoy it as much as we enjoyed Utopia OTS. Looking forward to a week long sailing as our last one was only 4 nights and just wasn’t long enough to fully enjoy and explore the ship. Cannot wait for the over water swing!
Great video!!! I’m booked for the New Year on World America with a drink package and a sweet ocean balcony room. I can’t wait!!! I got an amazing deal because I booked it onboard my last MSC cruise this last June. So we’re talking more than a year and a half in advance. I know it’s going to be a dream vacation. I’m so excited about all the different shows they have to offer too. I’m pretty good about planning so I’m going to make it my mission to book and watch every show they have available and partake in all their parties. They really do go all out with their theme parties so I can only imagine what they have in store for New Years Eve!!!!! I’ve sailed on the MSC Seascape twice so I know what I’m talking about. What a great way to ring in the New Year. Thank you so much for such an informative and detailed video of this beautiful ship. It’s exactly what I needed to see. You now have a new subscriber. Thanks again. The countdown begins for 2026!!! 🎉
I keep hearing rumors from different UA-camrs that MSC has said they have plans on building the biggest ships to beat out Royal but haven't heard much else about that. Can't wait to try World America, booked in October.
MSC has had conversations with shipyards about building a ship bigger than Icon of the Seas. We are excited to check out Word America next year too! Have you sailed with MSC before?
MSC really go after Carnival with the Seaside and Meraviglia class ships and RCL with the World class. They got ungodly amount of cash on hand and zero debt so they have the flexibility that their competitors don't enjoy. It'll be interesting to see if they keep pricing low or start jacking them up as they gain market share.
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Been on 6 MSC cruises so far, everyone has honestly been better than the previous as they've made mostly positive changes. That being said drink package changes seem to be nothing more than a cost cutting measure disguised as "safety". For sailing we are interested in we have noticed much if any price increases recently but that may be due to our cabin preference - YC Interior - and itineraries' we prefer tend to be on older US based ships such as Divina, Meraviglia, and Seaside.
Family and I (2 adults/1 teen) are too excited for this mega ship. Got a great deal for an infinite ocean view cabin and drink packages. Looking forward to sailing on her in June!
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Once on the Seaside. My Greek spouse prefers MSC due to the vibe and we liked the food, especially the butter and pizza. Teen said the ship was okay (lack of activities) and wants to sail on one of RC's monstrous ships. Compromise achieved with the World America. Looking forward to your review!
Can't wait for their World Asia to come here and she'd easily be the biggest megaship in the region. Not having to fly hours just to catch a cruise is a big plus.
I’m going to be honest, I think MSC from my experience, has been a much more enjoyable experience than other lines, such as Carnival and even Celebrity. I genuinely loved the ship, the food, the entertainment, the crew was amazing, the ship was beautiful. I sailed on Meraviglia, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I’ve been on 3 royal ships, anthem, symphony, and wonder, and imma be honest if MSC keeps up their growth, they may be on par with those ships in a few years
Never been on a cruise. Even though it looks very enticing. I feel that with thousands of people on board, there will be lines everywhere, for food, shows, and getting that perfect spot by the pool.
The only way to know is to get on a cruise. "Feeling" that it may bee lines and crowds and not getting the perfect spot, whatever that is, if you never have cruised is just trying to find excuses not cruise. Who knows, you might just love it?
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Finding a cruise line, and ship, that fits you takes some research. Watching YT is one way and I have watched a few. There are reviews of ships that I have been on where my experience don't match the channel review. Having done 30+ cruises on Royal, MSC, Celebrity, ... in different cabin categories we have, my wife and I, have settled on MSC and Yacht club. Finding what cruise caters to your preferences takes some time and you will probable have some bad experiences along the way, but don't give up. What vacation do we typically take? This coming year we do 4 cruises, 2 from Miami and 2 from Barcelona (three MSC Yacht Club and one Explora Journey). Six spring weeks in Portugal playing golf and 3 weeks in Florida in October avoiding the cold in Sweden. Then maybe a short stop in a nice European city, it was a while since we visited Paris.
I’ve only been on two cruises, one with Celebrity and one with MSC, but I have not experienced having to wait in line. You can arrive a little early for shows to get the perfect seat, but still, no lines. The only time I’ve had to wait was when I did not specifically reserve a dining time in the free dining room (6:30 or 8:30) and came at a busy time. Even then, I could have come earlier or eaten at the buffet. You might have to go pretty early to get certain lounge chairs on the ship, but there are so, so many of them on multiple levels all over the place that it is never hard to find one. I’ve never gone on rides or bumper cars or putt-put golf or slides, etc. so I can’t say anything about lines there.
I thought the same thing until my friends convinced me. Let me tell you something, I wish I could get back all the money I spent at resorts!! Wow!! I am already planning my nest one. I wish I had started a few years ago. It's amazing. Give it a try
I sailed on World Europa last year. Nice ship. Looking forward to some of the changes on World America. Do you know if the “secret” invite only speakeasy bar will also be on the World America? You didn’t mention it in your video.
Recently sailed on the World Europa. It was overall underwhelming. MDR food was horrible, specialty dining was forgettable, breakfast buffet while okay never changed its menu. The app needs a lot of help. No way to schedule your entire week. They’re going to still need to step things up to complete with the other cruise brands.
Finally, Royal Caribbean will have some competition. I used to love their ships but lately their food has been getting worse and bad service also. I will be happy to try a MSC mega ship.
Beautiful ships, however they need to be careful with what is making them popular - VALUE. Looking at MSC World America pricing for May 2025, pricing seems to be identical with Celebrity....
I have been on the World Europa. It is big, but it never feels crowded as cruisers spread out at their favourite spots and cruisers usually don't have the same preferences. Smaller ships are more intimate, but more expensive. Going on another MSC ship, Explora 1 with Explora Journey, in January. Having only 922 guests, the price for the cruise goes up and we payed more than twice as on Europa, and we stayed in Yacht Club on Europa! If you like small ships be prepared to pay. There are "smaller" MSC ships such as Divina with 3500 guests or the old ships such as MSC Opera with only around 2000 guests, but these ships are old(er), but many cruisers like that, cruising as it was before the resort ships came.

True, they have already changed their drink packages for the U.S., and World America prices have been creeping up. Have you sailed with MSC before?

@scottpostma6392 MSC Group had to disclose financials when they purchased a 50% stake in Italo-NTV in fall of 2023.
