i reccoment pokemon unbound. as a ram hack one of the bests rom hacks ever and if u want a challenge expert mode is fun and difficult but you can play on lower difficulty for a first time run.

radical red aint nothing comapred to expert level Pokemon unbound has he played it yet? id loove to see it. also im not hating on radical red i played them both. both are great i just think unbound on top.
honestly, I'm not a fan of radical red. The challenge comes from the opponents having access to moves, items, Pokémon, etc. that you probably don't have access to yet. Along with every trainer AI being programmed to predict every move you make it just turns into a game of "how much can i cheese the AI to win" which is the sign of a bad game
I think for me that’s one of the appeals of it, every battle kinda turns into a puzzle. I agree for like a nuzlocke this would be brutal, seems almost impossible to beat a trainer on your first try
