- This season's Verreaux Black Eaglet has been making its way up the rocks and checking out the view from this vantage point. The BE is 88 days old today. We don't know if the eaglet is a male or female but normally a male eaglet fledges first around 90 days because it slightly smaller. The female would fledge a few days later. So keep your eyes out on this eaglet as fledging is imminent! Last year the eaglet fledged at 93 days old! Thank you for watching!

And the eaglet is almost ready to use its wings! Always beautiful to see them with their beak open from exitement , inhaling everything in the air to see if it is time to go already.

How is this possible?!!! In April and May I spent several days on this cam, I put it on my tablet near the TV, and I saw very little activity. An adult passed by once every 2 or 3 days.... told me that the couple had another nest and that there would be nothing this year on that nest!
I'm upset to have missed it, but happy to learn that there is finally a magnificent eaglet! I'm back on this live now
