Could you imagine getting this bad boy in a happy meal?! This build came out really cool and so cute! I never would have guessed it was plastic, it looks so shiny 😯 I like the added touch of the sleigh bells and the reindeer at the end hehe :) 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎄 🎅 🚗
Those are called triwing screws, and you can use a flathead screwdriver to take them out, as long as it fits into one of the triangle sides. Hope it helps you in future encounters with those type of screws.
Thanks so much! I tried the flathead screwdrivers I had and none would work...but I got a message from a friend over on Instagram that said Harbor Freight has a set that includes that type, so I know where I'll be going after the start of the new year lol.
What a Merry L'l Build! A L'l Ol' Duece ... It's the Little St Nick? Run, Run Reindeer. Dash away All! Santa takes the Freeway down (And anything else in his path!) While purists who collect Happy Meal toys are offended we're thrilled with it. Was kinda' waiting for a screaming reindeer, but you got my goat by not using it. Joy all around for you and yours!!!
Nice build. Mad bells! I felt like Quasimodo by the time you finished! All the best, Jim, and may you have all that you'd wish for yourself on the Other Side!
Thanks David! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! OH! I'm still waiting to hear back from you on the Cool or Not that you won -- it's been almost 3 weeks and if I don't hear back from you by year end, I'm going to have to do another drawing -- please contact me at silvajim@gmail.com!
Great festive build, Jim! Merry Christmas. I started a build using that castings engine a looong while ago if I find where I put it I should finish it.
With a ride like that he might get done early this year. You did and excellent job on it brother. If you don't have another build for this year, it is a great one to end on. Merry Christmas to you and your family also.
Thanks so much for watching David! That is the last build for the year, but one is already in the works for next year lol. Merry Christmas to you and your family too David!
Amazing work… wise decision to go with the black. Makes the decals and other details pop! Wheels look great too! Engine detailing spot on. Thanks for posting it. BTW, CS chrome? (which I’ve used and love!).
Thanks so much Brian! Yep...it's CS chrome, and the results amazed me on the wheels. I've gotta try it on something else to see how it compares to what I've been using. It may be on the top of my list now.
Merry Christmas GW! The Santa decal with all of the color in his beard reminds me of someone that puts beads in his beard 😊. Those darn sleigh bells and winds were REALLY loud in the background as I did the voiceover…but my mic is so directional it picked them up softly lol. I think it sounds pretty cool in the finished product and isn’t distracting.
Santa Muerte´s comes in a traditional black ride. He just enjoys it. No gift delivery today. It was about time for black after all the Christmas rides in other colors. As Henry Ford said: “Any color the customer wants, as long as it’s black.” (He just said it to publish the Model T in 1910, there were other colors before...) I really like the festive aura of this great built. I´m pretty shure there´s no Mariah Carey on the radio! 😅🤣😂🙃
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms His sleigh is the shop truck, but he only uses it once a year. I´d have to be Santa, then I could do whatever I want 364 days a year. For example, cruising around in this rod.
great work, from looking nondescript to awesome! love the details, too. ^^ I think I know that "aloominum chrome" paint. when I was learnign car mechanic, we had a spray paint that was 98% aluminium pigments and the rest was binder. the result looked like brightly brushed aluminium. we took an used Mitsubihi Colt and freshed it up for resale, and reworked the over-corroded alu wheels with that stuff. a week later the little car was sold, it looked so good. :D
Good Upload Jim. I've been very busy putting the game room together. I discovered the walls has zero insulation so that had to change. Its been erratic here with some health issues (neuropathy) and I'm actually chauffeuring a close friend to and from work. Sending You & Yours my best this holiday season- Eddy
Thanks Eddy! I hope you and your family have a merry Christmas and a wonderful 2025! Looking forward to photos of the game room once you have it all together!
SUPER COOL BUILD 😀👍💯
Thanks Rob!
Awesome job . Big difference from what you started with.
Paint and wheels are awesome.
Mike
Thanks Mike! I'm really darn happy with the chrome spray on the those wheels - can't wait to try it on something larger! Merry Christmas!

Thanks daughter! There is a sign that it's plastic at this time of year - it attracts every bit of dust possible lolol

Santa looks like he approves... 😆 Great build my friend... Merry Christmas
Thanks so much Dan! This one is going to Santa who has already approved lol Merry Christmas!!
Nice build. Mad bells! I felt like Quasimodo by the time you finished!

Thanks Fraser! I was trying to make the video more festive...but no more bells...until next year lol. All the best to you and your family as well!
Super top cool carse😊
Thank you!
An awesomely festive build, that turned out nicely, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Comments saying the bells are annoying, he'll I thought your ceiling fan had bad bearings! Great build!
LOL only problem is that I don't have a ceiling fan LOL Thanks!

I’m pretty sure those bits come in a security bit set.
Thanks Gary - I'm told that Harbor Freight has a set that has them, so I know where I'm going lol
Sweet ride. Great work as always. Came looking cool.
Merry Christmas Jim

Funny, I just happened to do a search on eBay for this car a few days ago.
Gotta love the engine on this thing.
Yes, this one and the Head Starter have the best engines.
Santa's ride looks awesome.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year brother.

I used a small flat head to get them out when i attempted a custo. Of this year or so back
I tried but none of my flat heads were working on it...then again, it could have been frustration kicking in lolol
I took a triangular file and cut it down to make a driver for those mcds cars
That's a good idea! I'm going to have to do something before I run into another one lol
Yes,sleigh bells, I even paused to make sure I heard them ON the video and not here 🤔
Sleigh bells? Barely noticed.... Sounded like Santa was stuck at a red light in Times Square.
LOL thanks Jamie! Hope you, Kim and the kiddos have a wonderful Christmas!
@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms same to you and yours!
Bells are annoying.
Sorry…I was a little worried about that since I didn’t have much control over them. Merry Christmas Ken!
What a grinch! 🤣 The bells are festive and appropriate for a Christmas build 🎄🎄🎄
