Ematic AT103B Digital Converter Box + DVR Recording Tutorial & Review

- Опубліковано 22 лип 2024
- This is a tutorial and of the Ematic Digital Tuner Convert Box with built-in recorder. I'll show you how to set up, record, schedule and play your recordings. I'll also give me feedback on how it functions and how sensitive the tuner is at picking up local TV channels. Keep in mind you will have to purchase a USB flash drive in order to record. I'd recommend at least a 32GB.

Are you located near scranton? I would hire you to beef up my over the air antenna to max potential.
I still think that these boxes are still pretty neat. It's like having an old-school VCR except without all the buttons. You can plug your giant 1 terabyte hard drive into it. You can record a whole ton of shows. These are the best things and I'm really glad that you told me about them. I love my DVR
You're the best, Dude!!! You consistently provide the simplest but most detailed and thorough analysis of whatever it is you are analyzing. Thanks again and keep up the good, no great work you are doing!!!
Thanks for the kind words!
Oh thank goodness!!! I got my mom this on Mother’s Day. She’s 80 and she had no way to record her soaps when she’s gone.
Did it work out? My mil is about the same age and I was thinking of getting one for her.
They definitely work, I actually dropped Direct tv after I got this.
@@nukyano it didn’t because she died 😂
Wonderful! Thank you for this great explanation! Annnnnnd, here we go back to separate recorder boxes as folks are cutting the cord and going to over the air tv.
I have this one and it works great. It gets almost all my locals with my Walmart antenna on the wall. Even better it works with my cable too. It is a great unit.
I recently purchased the AT103C, I was impressed sensitivity of the tuner, went from 44 channels to 59. I am still figuring out how best use its features. I am not a big fan of having a second remote, but for $40 I am happy with options from this unit and and figuring out the the DVR.
Tyler thanks for what you do, you have been a major help with getting me setup!
Thanks for checking in. I'm glad my videos helped you get better reception. Feel free to give a contribution at the link below as I spend a lot of time making the videos and responding to these comments:

I have 2 of these and I love them! I have 2 smart TV's but I like the control this converter box gives me over the channel scanning. The signal meter is great and I love how you can use it as a DVR. 10/10!
I have 2 also and its tuner is better than a2yo LG plus you can set your favs to appear automatic
So you have to have a antana to get local channels with the converter box. I have a flat screen tv. The reason being. I use firestick and I cant get my local channels here. So I'm wondering What to do .. I'm clueless !! Thanks for a reply
Thanks bro..
Had this box for about 3 years, & never learned to record on it..
I have something similar to this. It's the homeworx mediasonic. I'm really glad that they all come out with these things. It's just like the old VCR days. And if you really want to be a true cord cutter then you get this kind of a device. I really enjoy having one of these. And I have a 2 terabyte hard drive ready to go and the 1 terabyte hard drive is almost filled up. You can keep all of these TV shows. You don't have to pay some silly cloud storage company to keep your stuff and risk that they delete it. And you really save a lot of money so thank you for telling people about these types of items.
Thank you for reviewing our Digital Tuner Converter Box and explaining its features! Great video!
Thanks for making it. I will be featuring it in one of my upcoming videos. The tuner is very sensitive and picks up weak channels some TV sets won't.
Why cant you rewind while watching live tv? Say I'm watching channel 2 for 20 minutes, I cant hit rewind and go back 5 minutes.? That's not dvr?
@@andrewelmer9266 you must be doing something wrong I can rewind
@Pro-Life Society sounds like you have a bad model. Make sure to return it.
How can I rescan with out my remote it came with my dog chew it up please email me at rickbaldazo19@gmail.com thank you so much for the information be much appreciated
you are a life saver. the older i get the smaller the print is i swear. and i couldnt read the instructions manual. i was frustrated until i saw your video. thank you!!!!
YOU ARE AMAZING! My Ematic did not pick up my local CBS station but after viewing this video, I did a wiki search, then did just what you said and VOILA! It found and added it! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes sometimes it misses weaker RF channels but once they're added it's good
WOW Antenna Man, what an excellent explanation of the operation of this DVR/Tuner!!! My wife and I just installed and validated it using the manual and your excellent instructions.
Very helpful. I just got one of these and am finding out it does a lot. The remote is kind of janky though.
I was up at the Walmart and saw this box. I get home and watch your video and thought that is what I need. I go back to the Walmart and get it. Hooked it up and it worked just as you said. I never got around to recording anything on it just watched a few shows. About a week later the box is dead, does nothing not even light up. So I take it back to Walmart and got another one. Brand new in the box. Got home and got it hooked up. And it worked and I recorded two one hour shows. I get the chance to sit down to watch and the box is dead, lights do not even come on just like the first one. I changed out the batteries and even used the power switch on the unit and got nothing. Went as far as to plug the power plug into another AC outlet. In life every now and then you may get a bad one but when you two in a row perhaps it is time to look at something else. $45 and they did not last a week. I am not sure if Walmart will take this one back, since I lost the receipt.
Great video. Great job explaining this in detail.
Tyler, checked the 5 translators and I get 100% on all. So plenty of signal. Thanks for the review.
I AM A ELEMENTARY TEACHER LOVE THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN IN YOUR VIDEOS SIMPLE!!!
I DIDN'T BUY THE CONVERTER BOX MY TV ISN'T OLD!!!!
THE SIGNAL SENSOR FROM MY REMOTE I CONTROL IS DEAD SO I PUT ON THE HDMI!!!
I CONNECTED THE CONVERTER BOX IT WORKS GREAT!!!!
Thank you for the tutorial. I do have a question regarding setting the time. There does not seem to be an option to correct the time - about 7 minutes slow. No problems setting timezone, Daylight Savings on/off, etc. Any advice? Thanks!
By the way, great job of explaining the operation. You answered many headaches I had. My threaded coax input is snapped off. Only reason I bought this ematic so I can use HMDI from cable into ematic box, then White,Red,Yellow into 2yr Old Smart Samsung that I bought cheap. Your right, newer TV'S tend to have better tuner. If I go over the air, I receive 84
channels. Weakest one being 56%. However, I do have a Outdoor antenna
rated at 125 miles on 50 foot tower.
Yes, some channel are doubles, depends on direction I have aerial pointed. Thanks again
Nice Video, thank you. My main reason for using with this unit is for recording Over the Air channels. In a period of around 6 or so years, I have had/bought around 6 of these Ematic boxes. I have 2 newer ones now from 2018 that I have and use. The past 4 others were older ones that either broke down, or had to return them for not working properly.
The first ones I had, showed time in military (21:00 meaning 9:00 pm). The 2 that I use now (from 2018) show the time in "regular" time (9:00 pm) which I PREFER.
However, when I had my older boxes, they were able to pause ( called time shift) live recording AND upon 'un-pausing' the unit, I could rewind to go back and play at the point. Then I could fast forward any parts and when it caught up to live TV, the pause feature would stop and I would continue live watching.
BUT, these new 2018 units do not do that anymore. That was an important feature I liked from the older units that these newer ones dont have. Or maybe there is a different way to enable this feature. Here is how I used to do it on the older units assuming I paused it for several minutes: pushed "pause"> rewind>pause>rewind. At this point, a red with blue bar showed up on the bottom of the screen where it showed how many minutes I paused it, and how many minutes are left for unit to catch up to live tv. It was great. I was able to rewind and watch everything that I had paused. then fast forward commercials; goal was to catch up to live tv by using the FWD button.
Maybe the menu to pause and watch is different now. any ideas?
Another thing the older units did was I was able to delete multiple shows in the HBPVR folder at the same time. I would just scroll down one at a time and place a check mark on several recordings, then delete them in one click. THese new 2018 units only let me delete one by one.
ANy ideas on this too?
Here are some other tips that have worked for me. WHen it freezes, turn off unit, restart.
If it freezes and it is unresponsive, unplug from outlet. wait, then replug and restart.
I have the same unit, made in 2018, and as long as I have a usb drive in the front port I can timeshift pause the program I am watching but only if you hit the red button on the remote once the program starts
Thanks for all the great info.
I have a fairly new (cheap) Emblem TX.
Scanning will show between 38-41 stations.
However, a fair number just aren't watchable or don't produce picture and sound
Might this tuner help with that?
Thanks for taking the time to explain all the details on the Antennas/converter boxes/Amplifiers - I am working on letting Xfinity keep their TV service that has become outrageously expensive. I do need help determining the best indoor antenna for me. I am in 95610 area code and likely with Sacramento close by should have access to a good number of channels. Can you recommend a good indoor antenna for me? I have an old VISIO 42" plasma TV that I should replace but it still works great and the picture is clear and good. With your tutorial on the converter I think I am ready for an antenna recommendation. The antenna goes to the converter - the converter to the tv and we will see what channels we have access to.
Any idea if this box will tune cable channels that are broadcast with QAM support? I need it for an RV park that I frequently camp at which has cable but my TV doesn't support QAM and therefor doesn't find any channels when performing an autosearch.
Thanks so much for the setup assistance. Do you know how to program the favorite channels?
I have this. I use it on Antenna as well as my cable (Mediacom) and it works awesome
Saw your video on the set up for the ematic converter. I bought one, but cannot get it to work.
I have a 55" LG Smart TV, I bought 3 yrs ago. It does have 2 HDMI plugs in the back. I've tried every known way to get it to work to no avail. I even bought an antenna w/amplifier.still won't work.
One think I found that is weird....when I check in the settings is says it can't find my tv set
HELP if you can. I'm totally stumped.
BTW....I tried the software in the tv settings, and got 4 channels.
I'm totally dumbfounded.
I had a Magnavox HDD/DVR recorder w/ a built in tuner.. I worked great with my Comcast cable for recording TV shows.. Then it stopped working. I am looking for something to replace my Magnavox. I just want something simple to record and maybe has a simple timer to record when I am gone.. Will this Ematic device do that?? .. or do you have any other suggestions. Thanks so much for your help..
It will not record the raw cable signal. Your Magnavox probably stopped working with Comcast because they have finally scrambled the signal in your market. If you hook the Magnavox to a Cable box with Analog out,you can still use the Magnavox to record. If the Magnavox is dead, you may need a device that uses a cable card to record if you do not want Comcast DVR.
how do i hook up to uhf antennas pointing in different directions to my channel master preamp booster?
Thanks you are the best...now my wife is happy with me because she can now record her favorite TV programs....The instruction manual is useless!
I see on the tv loading screen it also shows radio.
Can I put radio stations on the box or are these embedded in tv signal?
I have the Aluratek brand of this same converter box/dvr. I can't record a program unless my tv is on. I have a scheduled program to record, but unless I leave my tv on all day while at work, the program doesn't record. Is that what you've found as well? Thanks for your reply.
Nice review, Tyler! ⚡
Nice product, Walmart!
wallllllllllllllllllllllmarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt
How does the tuner perform? I have an older Sanyo 1080i with a horrible built in tuner...If I hook up a Zenith DTT901 converter box I get more channels and a stronger signal but it's all low res on my screen. Don't want to replace the set just yet....
Oh - you answered my question at the end...
i got two of these at walmart on clearance for about $17 each. plugged in an old SSD with USB converter to record and time delay shows, works pretty good, software is in need of much improvement for ease of use.
Great channel!
I was wondering if I can use this to replace the converter box I have to rent from Cox Cable if I connect it to an antenna? Don't really need to record and we just watch a few channels on a TV in the kitchen and bathroom. or are there any other solutions you can suggest? Thanks
How many 'events' can you program on this box? For instance I want to record a show on ch 8 from 9-10 and then one on channel 10 from 10-11? Also what does it use as a storage medium does it contain a hard drive?
This box works good. I use it as a DVR to record shows that might miss or record a show while watching a different channel on the TV.
How do you set the time? Also, does the EPG get the list of shows OTA? Mine says "searching..." and I have even left it overnight but never populates. Thx.
Is this just to convert to high definition resolution or just it allow you to pick up additional channels that are further away?
Thank you so much! I do have a problem: PR80007-Ch.34-7 and PR80006-Ch.34-6 show a "No Service". Perhaps you can point me in the right direction.
Great tutorial, thanks
Im glad you made a video on this , I wanted to use my old 80’s tv I found and now I can 😅
Glad I could help
Bro I’m liking and subscribe just because your camera angel showing what colors to insert what cords was bomb!!!! It was clearly shown!!! Not blurry or confusing!!! U rock!!!! I was about to buy this item but then I just decided to do my research first!!! Thank u!!!!
Hey bro I bought this product n am having an issue, when I try to set a time record for my shows it said this is invalid... not sure if I’m doing something wrong. But if u have any help I’ll greatly appreciate it:) thanks man
Hey bro never mind ! I just notice I missed the hit EPG from the video ! I got it down! Thanks man!!!
How to you connect the converter box with a smart TV, vcr/dvd recorder, and an outside antenna?
I have bought several of these model boxes from Walmart store, however, the most recent one won't play srt subtitle with video. I have computer generated video and srt file in a folder, for example video.mp4 and video.srt, and the most recent box won't display the subtitles. I tried pressing "CC" on the remote, but that didn't help. My older boxes will display subtitles no problem, although each box displays the subtitles in a different way, for example text inside grey box, or text without grey box. Can you check your recent model and see if you can get it to display the subtitles? Thank you.
How do i change the time zone on this device? I live in the central time zone but the device thinks i live in the east coast time zone.
thanks for all your help i have a new samsung tv i'm useing a hdhomerun get all the channel i want also have tablo it doesn;t pickup alll the channel record better than the hdhomerun try the canle to both i loose my best channels with the tablo any help would be good THS!!!!!

Muy bien explucado gracias!)
I have a cabin in a wooded area which I would normally get about five channels by using a digital converter box and a large antenna in my attic. I recently put a metal roof on now it seems that I don’t get any signal at all I think the roof is reflecting the signal, is there anything I can do?
I got ematic converter box. I hooked a 256 GB SSD to it, and used it as a dvr to record nbc nightly news when I was out. And it worked ok for a few months . But then it stopped functioning- no power at all. In my view it is a piece of junk .That said I like your videos and find them informative .Thank you William.
I have one question, on the program guide it shows a list on the following tv programs, is there any way to set it to show multiple channels program in one screen instead of only 1 channel at a time?
Unfortunately no. It's a $40 DVR that has its limits.
I just picked up a 103 C and I was hoping that I could hook my Android box to it the only out that my Android box has, is an HDMI the only in that the 103c Ematic digital converter box has is a coaxial cable. If I get an HDMI to BNC adapter can I use my Android box as a a cable box and use the digital converter as the back end of my PVR so I can record the TV?
Got one and it works very well. Had problems finding the signal tuning meter but did find under manual channel tuning. Thanks again. de Jim, k4vw
If you press the info button twice it will show you the signal meter
Thanks for extra info.
Can I hook this up to CABLE TV SERVICE and use it as a DVR? They do not require a converter box (scrambled) to view TV.
I have one was wondering if I could watch you tube videos through the usb port on box with USB cable?
Yes if they are in mp4 format the converter box will play them off the flash drive but it may be easier just to purchase a Roku or Chromecast for UA-cam
This box looks great, I watch OTA, no cable or satellite. A couple of questions. I assume it records to a USB "thumbdrive". Can I plug in an actual USB hard drive? I assume I'd need one that plugs into AC for power if so. 2nd, will the recordings be in 1080 or 720 if the original program was? I don't see that mentioned anywhere, not even on Amazon's site. 3rd, will it keep recording if I switch to the built in TV tuner to watch something else, while it's recording a different channel? It seems my Firestick "goes to sleep" after a few minutes if I switch away from that input and have to start over with what was on the Firestick when I switch back. 4th, I assume you can put the recorded USB stick in a computer and the files will be in a readable format? Lastly, any way of including a Firestick in the setup, so it can record from that? Maybe using an OTG cable or something? I have a Vizio 47 inch 3D TV for several years now, which was made before 2015, so hope the TV tuner in the DVR box is better. Antenna Guy has great videos, and I have forwarded several to people who need this type of info. Thanks.
Can I record Video games while I'm playing like I used 2 on VHS Tape? From a play station or Xbox one if I can how much room 2 record will I need? Thanks
when i plug my sandisk cruzer usb into the converter box it says unsupported format? I completely erased and reset the usb before plugging it into the converter box. its also formatted to FAT32, the correct format for things like this
thanks for very informative reviews. Old TV only accepts 720 p does it matter with whatever signal is pulled in by the box? i.e. does the quality of the input matter given that the TV can only play 720?
The DTV box will automatically output 720 if that's all your TV will accept. It will work.
I wanted to add something to my last comment about not being able to see subtitles on video/srt on USB memory stick. Here is firmware information on the box: Model AT103C, SW Version: Apr 13, 2020-17:20, HW Version: ABL 7802-R836A
Do you think installing an older firmware would solve the subtitle problem? Would it be possible to install an older firmware that would allow to show subtitles? If so, how? I didn't try the option: revert to factory firmware because I think it would just revert the the April 2020 firmware.
It's come on menu real fast so I won't have a chance to select everything on menu can you help on the front of the box it's say boot
How do I change the name of the recorded program on the PVR? The menu names a button to use to do this, but the resolution is so bad I cannot read it.
I have one of these devices, branded 'TERK TUNVR1', which functions identically to yours. I have two problems with it. First, it won't receive or record clear QAM signals, I have a friend who lives in a retirement RV park with a Community antenna system, delivered to each site on cable in the clear QAM format. No encryption, but this box only recognizes one channel present. My understanding is that clear QAM is ATSC, but using a different RF channel assignment table, and there is only one channel which is close enough to the OTA channels for the scanner to find.
The other issue is RF sensitivity, and the fact that the recording function stops when a dropout occurs during recording. Sometimes, it totally locks the box up, so that no further recordings happen until I discover it and reboot.
Have you found a device on the market which resolves both of these issues?
how do you program remote to cut the tv and convertor box off at the same time?
Hey how do I program the fav channels
Can the storage divice be plugged in to my pc and downloaded and then uploaded to a smart phone??
do i need to hook it up to the wall coax to get the antenna channels or will it be like a Roku an only run using the HDMI out into the TV.
No you need to hook it up to an antenna to get local channels over the air in your area. It will not work with cable channels.
I was wondering I purchased a vizio v series 60 inch 4k and does not have any kind of tv tuner built in. Would I be able to use this converter box?
I always enjoyed getting the free local HD channels in my area. Could I connect via HDMI?
Yes
How do I cancel a timed recording? I see a 'cancel' word at bottom of screen but can't find any keys that get me to it.
Does this converter box have "loop through," so that I can watch one program while recording another one? Also does it have close captioning when playing back a recorded program? I am hearing impaired, so I really need that feature. I have a converter box from a few years ago, and it has CC when watching live, but not when playing back recordings.
Hi Kirk, did you get a reply on "loop Through", I have the same concern. Thanks
@@georgeborden2720 I haven't yet. There are two converters sold by Homeworx. One has it, while the other one does not. If I want to be able to watch one program, while recording another, I prefer to use the "loop through." Otherwise, I must use a splitter, and that can degrade the signal after a long cable run.
I have a good antenna on the roof of my house. Is a converter box the way to go or should I get a new antenna for over the air channels? Thank you!
I'm not sure what you are asking. A converter box is meant for TVs without a built in tuner. Antennas are what pick up the channels.
I have one of these and would like to know if it can start recording in standby (like auto turn on to record the show) or does it have to be turned on at the time to record?
It will turn itself on at the scheduled time so, yes, you can leave it in standby.
I just bought one of these guys and i am a bit confused on how to hook it up with my antenna. First, i get all my channels when its connected to my TV directly. When I remove that connection from the TV and connect it to the converter box instead and do a channel search, i miss most of my local channels here in NYC. Why wont it receive all my local channels especially with that same antenna?
I'm currently trying to hook up my Roku to the digital converter box, But, i just stuck AV wires in the RF IN and i set it to C032, but all i get on the screen is garbage, please help!
I have been using this box on mu analogue TV but it quit. Purchased new one but when connected it does not get past the "boot" display on the box. TV is on the correct channel. Is the converter box bad? Used both HDMI connection and the cables at the video in/out connections. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, when I am doing an auto scan for digital tv channels, the right side of the screen shows like it can also scan for OTA music channels. I would like to receive music also! How????
It will only add music channels if your local tv stations broadcast an audio only subchannel which is not common
This DVR looks like the LAVA HDTV-2100V I just purchased. I am happy with my Samsung TV tuner, I just want to record some OTA TV shows. 1) If I use HDMI to connect DVR to the TV, do I still need to plug in the antenna? If yes, 2) Since antenna is now connected to DVR, will I be able to watch my TV with the DVR turned off? I only want to use the DVR for recording and playback. TYIA
Yes, you need to plug in the antenna to the DVR so it can get the over the air channels and record them. Yes, the DTV box should have pass through. If you connect the "RF out" to your TV's coaxial cable you'll get the antenna channels on your main TV's tuner when the DTV box is turned off.
I have Directv will can you hook up their cable to it & pick up cable channels & if so how cause I want to get rid of my directv receivers.
No this converter box only works with over the air TV antennas.
What kind of antenna you need my grandma getting confused when we are searching for channels it showing number
It depends on your area. What is your ZIP code?
Is there a setting on this box to switch from 24 hour time to 12 hour? I have two of these and one is set to 12 and the other 24. I'd like them both to be 12 hour time.
DVD player is hooked up though don't know how to access/use with ematic remote. Pls help. Thx in advance.
You can't use a dvd player with this box.
My antenna input connector on my tv broke during a move. Can I use this with the other connectors such as hdmi to continue using my antenna? For example if i connect my antenna to this box can i use an hdmi to watch it on my tv? I would hate to have to get a whole new tv to keep enjoying my antenna channels.
Yes, you can use this as a standalone tuner! You can also use the model below. amzn.to/2SUYCnv
I have a coaxial line from the cable company i used to pay for. It is on and can get free cable but my coaxial connection on the tv broke off but can use hdmi cable can i use this converter box to get channel signals?
No this only works for TV signals that come through with an antenna not cable.
When you record a show on the flash drive are you able to watch it on the computer or save it on a bigger bigger storage unit
Yes but I do not recommend using a flash drive with this DVR. Most of them are too slow and will cause issues. Use a USB hard drive like one below: amzn.to/2E1wWGm
I installed the converter with the cable tv antenna, programmed a lot of channels but "no service" or "scramble channel" is showing on any of them. What did I do wrong?
You cannot use this with cable TV. It only works with an antenna.
The Ematic is more sensitive than my old Toshiba TV set, so it is good.
How do you know its taping a show you set a time for? And needs a certain USB
Let me re phrase what I wrote the other day. Where do I connect the cables from the Ematic digital converter box going to perhaps the TV? Also, I have a VCR, where exactly do the cables go to in order for me to record a TV program? I can very well see TV, and see a video, but I cannot seem to get it to record. Any suggestions? Thanks.
You can connect the DTV box to your TV by either coax, RCA, or HDMI cable. If you want to record on your VCR off the DTV box you can connect it to either the RCA jacks or coax in set to channel 3 or 4. If you need additional assistance you can sign up for a consultation with me at the link below: www.antennamanpa.com/antenna-recommendations.html
Good review but I wanted to know how large a usb card is needed. I noticed on the box that the recording time is 7gb an hour...that means like 4 hours of recording requires a 28gb card??
thanks
Correct. The size depends on how much TV you record.
How can I reestablish connection with my remote? I put new batteries but remote does not work.
The remote should work via infrared. That means it is just using a flashing light (that you cant see) to talk to the box. Just because you cant see the light, doesnt' mean that you cant test if it is working. In a dim room, turn your camera on in you phone. Then have someone (from a very close distance, maybe 1 foot) point the remote at the camera and press buttons. You should be able to see the light on the remote light up on your phone screen. If it isn't lighting up, try different batteries/ make sure the batteries are in the right way. If neither of those fix the issue, the remote is broken.
If you can see the light, make sure that the part on the receiver that has the IR logo isn't covered.
Make sure you got the batteries in the right way and make sure the batteries are good
Are there any tvs on the market that has a built in dvr? Also are there any tvs on the market that gives you a ota channel guide?
First your video was very neat and to the point great job. My question is is there a way to use the converter as but use the tv tuner instead. I purchased the same converter you presented but I only wanted a coaxial to hdmi since my newer TV did not have a coaxial male connector? Ant suggestions?
Yes you can connect it to your TV via HDMI
@@AntennaMan where or how is that done, coaxial to hdmi ? Is there a converter?
I accidentally hit a setup button and now tv has no signal. Is there a way to reset to factory settings so I can start over?
perhaps you can help me. I have an ematic digital converter box. I currently have it connected to an analog tv but wish to add my vcr to it as well. for some odd reason I cannot seem to view what I recorded. plus, on my tv it shows "video 1, 2 or 3. Refer to the user manual for instructions as I don't offer support for these products. Make sure you use a hard drive for the DVR function and not a flash drive
Can I record my VCR tapes from my VCR player using Ematic Digital Tuner Box with builtin recorder?
No you can only record OTA with this box. You'd need something like this to converter VHS tapes to digital files: amzn.to/37y3e4r
Good stuff, Thanks :-)
Hello, I have an ematic at103c decoder box and I need to update its firmware but I can't find anywhere to download the latest update available, and if it is global the update is better. Can you help me please? I no longer know what to do to acquire said firmware. I will be grateful.
I live in more rural part of Canada, and I use a combination of OTA & Clear QAM for my television viewing experience.
Currently, only one of my three OTA channels is in HD, but the other two are slated to be upgraded to HD next year. Does the Ematic Box work with analog channels? Does it also with with Clear QAM? Finally, can you manually input the times you want to record if there is no channel listings included with the SD or HD channels?
This converter box does not have an analog tuner. I am not sure if it works with clear QAM and yes you can manually input the recording times
@@AntennaMan Thanks
