This was Greece’s first generation of good team spirit. I remember it well being the countries first international tournament. Unfortunately they got scrubbed in the Euros group stage but it took another 20+ years and a new Greek generation to win the Euros. Great compilations of games as always. Great channel!
Great generation of Greek Footballers but the 1969 Team was even greater missed the 1970 World Cup because of stupid quarrels between the head coach and the GOAT of Greek Football Domazos(who was too old in 1980 at 38 and Panagoulias didn't call him)

No. The Soviets were always great. This particular team had some legends, Dasayev chief among them. Chivadze, Bessonov, Cherenkov..This was a great team. Even though the results did not show it.
