It’s amazing how many people visit the trail centre but have no idea or even interest in the incredible natural riding in that area. The descent back down the ridge you ascended is a real MTB tester with multiple heart stopping moments.

Ace video mate, that descent of Grizedale Pike back into the forest looks cracking; only one I have done off there was Whiteless and Rigg Beck (also cracking)
I appreciate the kind words, Thank you! Ive got a bit fixated on that descent (hobcarton) so haven’t done the descents you mentioned. Must try harder to explore more! We normally ride with the dog and he hates roads so there’s loads of Lakes stuff that ive avoided for that reason.

This ride is creeping up my bucket list. What time did you do this? Looks nice and quiet! Having hiked up Grizedale Pike (sans bike) a couple times I'd expect it to be be a little busy atm on the ascent?
@@TrailRevel thank you so much, that’s a lovely message. This was filmed this Thursday gone and we set off around 10.30am. It was busy enough in the trail centre but quiet up on the pike. Never known it get too busy to be honest 👍

I don’t think I would want to carry a full fat e-bike up there. It can get pretty windy and it’s fairly steep at the top. Maybe an SL if you weee used to carrying it. There is another route that would be a long steep push right from the base of the valley that follows a wall all the way up. That could work but u e not gone that way so can’t be sure p

this is the dream. can i take an ebike up here? (is it a long hike a bike or can i push it to the top?) so heavy to put an ebike on my shoulder xD

I tried to get a full fat ebike up there last year, had to turn back as is was getting a bit scary so wouldn't recommend!
