I always liked how Weiss instantly had Yang’s back with the whole Mercury Vytal incident. Blake was questioning Yang (that was because of Adam obviously...she was thinking maybe Yang was going down that route) and it clearly hurt Yang for Blake to think that. Weiss, though, had Yang’s back the entire time and got pissed at Blake for thinking that of Yang.
I feel like after Yang hugged Weiss after finding her at Ravens Tribe they always have this special hug moment when they meet up and its so cute. Like in volume 8
I hereby nominate Weiss and Yang for the team moms. Yang is the fun mom, Weiss is the strict one. Also, a little observation I made while putting this together, I find it interesting that the two characters who confront Oz for the withholding of information, are the same two who received the lecture from Raven about questioning things.

(Also, the fact Weiss never calls Jaques "dad" and only "Father" says so much to me. The other girls call their dads dad and their moms mom. Weiss never does that until much later and it's only after she's sure.) Also I know CREWBY and Yang's voice actor says Yang doesn't have abandonment issues but this moment just screams otherwise. That's really the one argument I raise against this as far as solo characteristics go.

Not a dig at Ruby, and obviously Yang loves her just as much, but she had a lot of growing up to do in Volumes 1-4 All of that to say, I love their relationship. As a writer, I could do a whole explanation on RWBY and how it failed to execute its story properly, but I'll do it later. NOT A RANT, just a careful criticism from someone who loves the show.
I think the idea is that they are all growing over time...like real persons do...some take longer to grow up than others, and some only grow so much. Considering Monty Oom, the actual creator and author, died before the completion of season 3, they have done a good job of keeping his vision alive. Look at Bilbo and Frodo in The Lord of the Rings, it took 4 epic novels, multiple short stories and 6 movies to reach the end of their respective heroe's journey...it took J R R Tolkien from the end of WW1 to the end of the 1950s to complete his story, from the Simirillion through Hobbit to Return of the King. I would not criticize too much, but then, I'm just a fan, an old otaku who has loved animation since childhood.
