Not true. I'm a HUGE RE4 fan & love RE6's incredible combat engine.... possibly the best & most robust in ANY action game. The coup de grace counters, diving, sliding, rolling, ground shooting are ALL amazing in this game. The game just got off to a rough start at launch with merciless QTEs, serious bugs, & missing content. All of these issues were addressed post-launch, so newer RE6 players wouldn't know anything about the rough start that caused many to initially hate it. Why you hate RE4 players? RE4 started it all. Tanky RE games were old & stale when RE4 came along. Were you even around to experience it, at launch? Classic RE game formula was old hat by RE3 & everyone knew it.

I've been playing RE since the 90s and 5&6 are my favorite REs. The OnlyFour fanboys get super butthurt when I say anything good about those games.

I just finished Leon's campaign and was about to play with Chris, but I went for Piers who I think is pretty cool. I've never played Resident Evil 5 so I don't know much about Chris and Piers besides Chris being Claire's brother. Piers is totally new to me. So is Jake.
Some campaings were good, some were terrible but goddamn the mercenaries mode was so fucking good, honestly i think is the best mercenaries mode in the entire saga. Fast paced, lots of enemies, good music.
I have to add as well since everyone is roasting the campaigns. The only downright atrocious campaign was Leon's with how much it took control away from you. When you get to play Leon's campaign it's super good though.The other ones are all a blast. Only smoothbrains that fail over and over again at certain points would hate the campaign.
Best control mechanics. Unbeatable. Walk and aim, so good. Should have had that before. At least and especially RE4. Was a Personal Favourite, that one.

And being able to dodge out of the way of attacks. And being able to, you know... Smack them with your gun or fist or foot, without needing to stagger first. Staggering helps, but you have SOMETHING to just melee without equipping another weapon.
My favourite part is 59 to 1.22. The way the music slows down and becomes quite mysterious and sad sounding. Love the 80s horrorsounding synths and the piano along side it.

It's a bad Resident Evil game, but it's not a bad game, hence why me and my friend intend on playing all the co-op campaigns together, and we're having a fun ass time doing it, just like in RE5.
I remembered first playing this back on xbox360 in 2012 when my little brother had it and we would beat it more than once together at that time lol good memories now my little brother has passed away in 2021 at age 21 i miss my little brother and spending time with him playing video games together when he was a kid and teenager 💔

Imagine if Capcom actually made an actual RE Mercinaries Collection or online game where you can play as every character in RE history and go to the locations from the past RE games and even decide what virus you want to fight against. Imagine playing as Ethan Winters in the Raccoon City Police Department and having to deal with the T-virus infected and Mr. X and Nemesis coming in if you survive long enough with high enough points. Imagine playing as Jake on the Antarctic Umbrella Base and having to deal with the T-Veronica Virus infected with Nosferatu and then Alexia showing up if you survive long enough and get enough points. It would be awesome and surreal.
Im glad there still some fans of re6, the people in general never watch the good points of the game. But with that jirafle of the 8 they throw flowers, sigh for things like that i say the last good games are re6 and revelations 2
I was drinking with a friend of mine one time and we were talking about RE, He asked me what my favourite RE game was and I told him that RE6 was my fave ( and I meant it lol ), he let out a warcry and then tried to twist my nipples in disbelief, true story.
I think it didn't work because it was an action game with survival horror mechanics to be honest if fans want horror game there is RE1Remake 4 u but if you wanted a fast paced heavy action with hordes of enemies to kill it could be RE6 but they didn't nailed it tbh i love a fast paced CoD/Uncharted type of game with scary enemies it works Action+Horror=EXCITEMENT

He's awesome, a main character, and he doesn't have to just use guns. Give him a knife and kicks/the occasional punch or suplex like in RE4 and let him use firearms for specials/supers and you've got a banger fighting game character.
Man, THIS is how the rest of game's soundtrack SHOULD'VE been. The Mercenary modes in ALL Resident Evil games always have some BANGING tunes and it works AMAZINGLY WELL for the action! Mercenaries alone still occasionally makes me come back to it. This game legit had the best version of it, imo. You had a larger selection of characters than in the previous games, alternate costumes were still a thing, there was a larger stage selection with larger more open maps, AND you had the Left 4 Dead Crossover on PC! How could you say no to all of that?
@@josephmunoz6546 yeah, watched a playthrough of RE6 recently and it reminded me of how god awful it is. Mercenaries is the only redeeming thing, meanwhile the campaigns just go all over the place with little to no reason, with an overlying plot that just doesn't really make much sense.
RE6, the best mercs mode to ever come out and it's not close. RE5 built on RE4's rather simple mercs, and it turned into this. The ability to counter, adding a skill element to it, it just made the mode so good. This game was thrashed and still is. But, we'll never see another RE game with as much mobility, interaction with enemies, and character variety as this game had. I can guarantee that. I'll be dead before that happens and I'm only 36. This mercs mode allowed for so much skill expression compared to the other 2. I like RE5's mode, but it doesn't touch this one and the remakes haven't come close either. OG RE4's was so simple, aim and shoot, glad they continued to expand on it.
People can hate RE5 and 6 all they want. Theh may not be scary, but they are FUN. And that’s what a game should be first and foremost. I had a great time getting all achievements
I agree, not every Resident Evil game needs to be a super scary horror game, the more action heavy ones are great too. As long as you've got good characters, wacky and spooky monsters, and most importantly, FUN, then you've done good. RE6 checks all those boxes.
As a youngin, I really loved this Resident Evil. As I got old I started to realize it wasn't as good as the others, but now, since I actually played it Coop with my nephew, I can say confidently that this is my favorite coop experience, this game with a good friend or companion in general on No Hope, you got a tough but really fun time. It might not be the best RE title, or even the best action game, but its who you experience it with that can make all the difference.
Idk how mfs didn't like this game. It literally has 4 whole ass campaigns featuring fan favorite characters. No other game in history is gonna ever do this again.
I actually think this and HUNK's theme is on par with being amazing, I actually believe it or not love this game, sure it had it's problems, but I ended up liking it.

Still waiting for Capcom to make an ultimate standalone RE Mercenaries title that has tons of characters, skins /costumes, maps, and mechanics from all the games. For example, RE4 remake character specific special moves, The Mercenaries 3D customizable skills and weapon loadouts, and RE6's combat/parrying.

Yeah, a massive amount of synth, trance, etc. were a lot better pre-2010. Mid-2000s to now just seems to like throwing in weird discordant sounds and call it music. Music's supposed to have beat, rhythm, purpose. A lot of electronic music and that dubstep crap is just a collection of random noises that rarely if every link together.
RE6 is without a doubt a bad horror game, but MY GOD it has some of the best action gameplay I ever experienced, you're always moving from one place to the next with this amazing theme in the background, really made me feel like I'm in some action movie, I never cared about the Mercenaries modes in 4 and 5 (ESPECIALLY 5) but I never got bored of the Mercenaries in RE6, I wouldn't mind if Capcom released another game like this (not necessarily with the Re name) and somehow improved the gameplay even more

I think it didn't work because it was an action game with survival horror mechanics to be honest if fans want horror game there is RE1Remake 4 u but if you wanted a fast paced heavy action with hordes of enemies to kill it could be RE6 but they didn't nailed it tbh i love a fast paced CoD/Uncharted type of game with scary enemies it works Action+Horror=EXCITEMENT

Fr I like this type of resident evil games 5 and 6 especially with his campaign coop, gameplay and sick melee animation.

@@KarlSturmgewherLate here, so late that the dlc's over but if any character from Resident Evil makes it into a fighting game it has to be Leon. He's awesome, a main character, and he doesn't have to just use guns. Give him a knife and kicks/the occasional punch or suplex like in RE4 and let him use firearms for specials/supers and you've got a banger fighting game character.
So many hours of fun. Best gaming franchise of all time.

Man, THIS is how the rest of game's soundtrack SHOULD'VE been. The Mercenary modes in ALL Resident Evil games always have some BANGING tunes and it works AMAZINGLY WELL for the action!
Mercenaries alone still occasionally makes me come back to it. This game legit had the best version of it, imo. You had a larger selection of characters than in the previous games, alternate costumes were still a thing, there was a larger stage selection with larger more open maps, AND you had the Left 4 Dead Crossover on PC! How could you say no to all of that?

@@josephmunoz6546 yeah, watched a playthrough of RE6 recently and it reminded me of how god awful it is. Mercenaries is the only redeeming thing, meanwhile the campaigns just go all over the place with little to no reason, with an overlying plot that just doesn't really make much sense.

RE6, the best mercs mode to ever come out and it's not close. RE5 built on RE4's rather simple mercs, and it turned into this. The ability to counter, adding a skill element to it, it just made the mode so good.
This game was thrashed and still is. But, we'll never see another RE game with as much mobility, interaction with enemies, and character variety as this game had. I can guarantee that. I'll be dead before that happens and I'm only 36. This mercs mode allowed for so much skill expression compared to the other 2. I like RE5's mode, but it doesn't touch this one and the remakes haven't come close either. OG RE4's was so simple, aim and shoot, glad they continued to expand on it.

People can hate RE5 and 6 all they want. Theh may not be scary, but they are FUN. And that’s what a game should be first and foremost. I had a great time getting all achievements
I agree, not every Resident Evil game needs to be a super scary horror game, the more action heavy ones are great too. As long as you've got good characters, wacky and spooky monsters, and most importantly, FUN, then you've done good. RE6 checks all those boxes.

As a youngin, I really loved this Resident Evil. As I got old I started to realize it wasn't as good as the others, but now, since I actually played it Coop with my nephew, I can say confidently that this is my favorite coop experience, this game with a good friend or companion in general on No Hope, you got a tough but really fun time. It might not be the best RE title, or even the best action game, but its who you experience it with that can make all the difference.

@@santi7475 ya nose cual es la comunidad y cual no, lo mejor es no totalizar, pero este juego es perfecto, trajo 4 campañas bastante largas, con 2 personajes cada una menos la de ada, un monton de modos multiplayer ... a mi como fan de la saga me gustan absolutamente todos los RE, algunos mas que otros, pero ninguno me parece desagradable, salvo ese de gameboy xd, este juego recibio hate sin sentido ya que me di cuenta que muchos de los que tiran hate ni siquiera lo jugaron, y lo mismo con otros RE. Ni siquiera le dieron lugar a jugarlos...

Still waiting for Capcom to make an ultimate standalone RE Mercenaries title that has tons of characters, skins /costumes, maps, and mechanics from all the games. For example, RE4 remake character specific special moves, The Mercenaries 3D customizable skills and weapon loadouts, and RE6's combat/parrying.

Tbh I pawned my old 360 like 5 or 6 years ago and never looked back. Currently picked up and Xbox One X because Mk 11 and I'm thinking of gathering my library back up hahaha funny how things come full circle.

Yeah, a massive amount of synth, trance, etc. were a lot better pre-2010. Mid-2000s to now just seems to like throwing in weird discordant sounds and call it music. Music's supposed to have beat, rhythm, purpose. A lot of electronic music and that dubstep crap is just a collection of random noises that rarely if every link together.

RE6 is without a doubt a bad horror game, but MY GOD it has some of the best action gameplay I ever experienced, you're always moving from one place to the next with this amazing theme in the background, really made me feel like I'm in some action movie, I never cared about the Mercenaries modes in 4 and 5 (ESPECIALLY 5) but I never got bored of the Mercenaries in RE6, I wouldn't mind if Capcom released another game like this (not necessarily with the Re name) and somehow improved the gameplay even more
