I have seen others simmering their fabric in hot mordant water like 80 degrees for 1.5 hrs or so. But I like this method because it is not so energy intensive! And also you allow scouring with normal laundry detergent which is great as I can't find soda ash in this country! Thank you!
Thank you very much Roman , for you explanation. I ´m a begginer in ecoprint and this video is so much useful. From Argentina best wishes and hopping to watch more of your beautiful videos! ❤❤❤
No! You need to figure that out yourself based on how much water, the type and weight of natural fabric, and the pH of the water you're using. You can clearly see from his video he has roughly 2-4 tablespoons of the powders. This is a technique that comes with trial and error. Even if he gave you precise measurements, it still would be different for each of us based on the factors I mentioned previously. Even the amount/intensity of sunlight will impact your results. Just figure it out on your own.
I kinda rough estimated the powders based on the video.... I guess I put too much iron sulfate and this is what happened ....my entire white fabric turned dark yellow
So what I'm gathering here is you want to make sure your cotton is totally free of any chemicals that may have been either purposely or accidently placed on it. For instance perfume would and could somehow effect your outcome.
That second step with the salts baking soda and vinegar also works great to unplug a sink drain. Just dump the dry ingredients in the drain first then pour boiling water on top n watch it go
Wow! Tankyou so much! Do you use backing soda or sodium carbonate? Can you give me please more specifics information about th recipe ? ( Grams of mordant per liter of water) thank you❤🎉
Hi Ramon, makasih tutorialnya, pengin nyobain, aku baru gabung kemarin saat buka youtube, menarik. Btw, saat kamu kesulitan nyebutin “kapur sirih”, dl bhs inggris “ lime stone”, semoga ini membantu walau terlambat ( better late than never)🙏❤️
Hello Roman, I love your videos about the Ecoprint, but I have a question, how would you go about doing the ecoprint on a t shirt if you want to do the printing only in one side of the T shirt and not on the other side ? Is there a way to make sure the part I don't want to retain the print doesn't get damage by the printing. Thanks a million and looking forward to watch more of your videos, I really like them.
🌼 Aww thank you so much for your video!! It was really helpful!!🌼 I want to learn Eco printing too!!🌼 You made it so good and really detailed in every step!! ✨Thank you 🌼✨

Hola, me encantan los vídeos pero mi inglés es muy rudimentario y no puedo seguir bien los procedimientos ni los productos que se utilizan. Alguien puede decirme si puedo encontrar subtítulos en español? Gracias
This is so nice, but it is not a tutorial at all. Read all the questions in comments :))) - just nobody gets it. I understand random measurements, even that :" you can use this or that" but using random terms in English like " use soda" - which soda? I love watching this guy, he really inspired me to try natural monoprints on textile, but for tutorial I have to search further.
Great explanation. Regards from Spain and thank you for your generosity sharing your knowledge. All the best!

@@tiwantiwaabibiman2603fair enough but what if you have a neutral pH of 6.5-7? Surely there's a formula of one started with this.
