I like this module a lot, but you're such a talented arranger/patcher that you could make any module sing. I don't get things this cool out of the nautilus lol.
Still good advice, tbh. It's easy to want one of everything in modular, but unless you're so rich you don't care, you still have to figure out which things are really going to fit into your workflow and which things are cool and sound great but aren't a priority for the way you make music.
Great instructive and inspirational video! Hooked up some patches similar to your examples w Rings, Nautilus, Aurora, Clouds, Queen of Pentacles and a few system 100-m modules - instant bliss that I could listen to for hours ... THANK YOU!!!
Reminds me a little bit of the Chronoblob delay unit in VCV Rack, but of course it seems to extend quite a bit into a wider range of sonic territory and what a gorgeous panel, I really want to get into hardware modular and I will definite get a few Qu-bit modules.
Ever since messing with vcvs I now finally got this as my first ever eurorack module in combination with the moog grandmother I already have. This thing is so much fun to play around with and opened seemingly infinite possibilities with the grandmother. I do agree with some points I see in the comments, saying you shouldnt buy gear just because its "trendy" and "hot on the market" but after some hours on hours thinking about it, it was a tie between this one and the ghost, since my reason to go more modular is to achieve sounds i could hardly achieve in a daw, I went with this one. The Nautilus is really sweet and NO I DO NOT POST THE FUCKING THING ON IG OR REDDIT YALL ARE INSANE!!!
Great video as ever Jeremy! Really sold after the jam, it's great to hear module run downs with a really varied amount of music in different styles, not everyone does that and I think it's needed to truly hear how a module can shine. I've decided to pick one up as I don't have a dedicated delay. Loved the sound of the vert legio, sounded almost polyphonic, was the intro melody all coming from one module? 🤩
caught this when it was unfinished and I'm in love with these sounds, is it possible to get the intro turned into its own video without commentary? it's stuck in my head and I need more of it ❤
Thanks for the video! Very lovely! Wild sounds Do you feel like there is much overlap between the trio of DataBender, Aurora, Nautalis? I think I am still the most drawn to databender.
@@RedMeansRecording Gotcha, I guess the distortion, bit rate reduction, and sampler rate reduction overlap on this one had me feeling like it could be close to databender in some ways. Qu-bit definately lean into digital sounds and artifacts in a really good way!
@@g1rlchild it really is. Mostly due to the reverse and reverb. The halo effect on mimeophon is not a great reverb, so I think an fx aid going into Nautilus would be a very powerful and great sounding combo
The music in this is available to patrons or via my Bandcamp backstage: soundvision.bandcamp.com/album/nautilus-ep

Jeremy told me not to buy any more stuff so I won’t.

@@g1rlchild you got it. I don’t need this thing. Even if I want it
Good
@@RedMeansRecording Woops, I sold a module so, one in one out.
@@RedMeansRecording just stop demo-ing these modules so well and I’d have some hope. Actually think that this next to mimeophon will be ace
Dude, that drum & base section at 14 minutes is supper cool 😎. Love it.

That chroma modes jam was otherworldly…. so good
I cant even begin to imagine how much design work went into this module. I am so so impressed
This one had some extremely beautiful and inspiring sounds involved, awesome presentation!
My god, this sounds incredible.
yeah that's very cool. love the look and the sound.
It sounds so good. This is definitely going on my list of things to add to the rack someday.
Sweeeet ! You are so good with rythms , it ROCKS !
beautiful modul. lovely music. nice explanation. wow. thank you!!
Ah nice, beautiful module, beautiful sounds. Thanks for the demo! And liked the end track to :)
The drums are rad!
Very trippy - especially the jam at the end - outstanding :)
This module looks so nice. I would buy it just for the design. Also it sounds great. It's on my list. Good job with the presentation, as always.
Captivating sounds 🎉
every jam slaps
the jam at the end is really nice👍
This is an impressive module indeed. ❤ in the right hands it does some damage! 🙌
Oh Jeremy, you've been naughty...lus.

Wait Jeremy that song at the end is amazing
That last song is blissed out A F! :) wow. Amazing
Gorgeous, thank you!
Friggin Qu-Bit.....their stuff is so flippin good.
ohhhhh this is nice
Cheers ♥️
came for the demo, stayed for the musicianship 👍
you're convincing me to pick one of these things up dude.
great sound
13:00 would love to listen to that song entirely !
So good music!!
I wanna have such a beautiful and helpful color- and light-coded modular interface for a Bloom V2❤
Glad to hear about the manual for the Nautilus. QuBit still doesn't have a real manual for Nebulae, which is very frustrating.
They do now
Oh dude… this is… dude …. Yeah this! ….Dope demo.

I love this and have both the Nautilus and the Surface. How are you modulating the Nautilus in that opening groove?
mostly through acid rain maestro
@@RedMeansRecording I would guess similar results could be achieved with my Beatstep pro, no?
this has a lot of the same vibes as rainmaker but with more immediate and playable controls
Agree

I'll upload the audio to Patreon in the next few days
Last sketch is very radioheadish (but without the wining). Brilliant, love it ❤
Definitely inspired by Thoms later stuff.
amazing. where are the vocals from?
Damn it, you’re way too good. I want to make babies with Nautilus.
Nautilus + databender yummy!
nice! what's creating the drums at 1:03?
Bitbox micro with custom samples
Thanks for the video!

@@latejuly432 they really do. I think both of these can do texture in interesting ways. Nautilus is kinda like beads without the reverb sort of.
The audio through youtube is astounding. Are you still using the same capture card?
I use a zoom l12 for capture for this system with mixing and mastering in Ableton
Did Andrew send you the Ghost? Couldn’t help noticing. ☺️
Yes. I released a video on it yesterday.
yes, check out his last video there you'll find a great demo of the ghost
How does using it compare to using a Mimeophon?
I actually like it better than mimeophon
@@RedMeansRecording Wow! High praise, I know it's one of your favorites.
@@g1rlchild it really is. Mostly due to the reverse and reverb. The halo effect on mimeophon is not a great reverb, so I think an fx aid going into Nautilus would be a very powerful and great sounding combo
this is deadly!
what's producing the drums?
i'm new to modular and I need anything on drums
Bitbox micro sequenced by acid rain constellation
This reminds me of Beads.
FFS i don't want to start modular please don't make these nice sounds that make me want to start modular
:)
