If you're a white foreigner Malaysia is heaven. They will do ANYTHING for them so yes. As soon as you walk into an establishment you receive a warm welcome with a smile. Now if you're a NON WHITE tourist or foreigner, good luck. They will not be so nice and are openly racist.
There has been hundreds of skaters from other countries overlooked over the decades. I skated all of the 90s and always believed Japanese and Brazilian skaters had incredible talent, when u got an opportunity to see them. Good to see talent from everywhere can get noticed these days with the Internet etc
Oh Ian Nuriman, I remembered he was in the news, the youngest Malaysian team member at Sukan Asia 2018 at 11 years old. Nice video bro showing local skate scene 👍 🇲🇾
aye, their commitment to friday Jummah prayer is dope man. I was born in the US with Indonesian heritage (“not a good muslim as your friend said 😅) but I try my best. When I went on vacation to Taman Mini in Jakarta, in the middle of a skate session all gnarly and sweaty, we came to a quick halt to pray. Imagine trying to get a crazy clip on film, prayer intermission, and going back to it down the set full speed 20min later. My local skatepark in the states could never. RESPECT ❤️
Man I wish I had your life. Travelling around and documenting some incredible lesser known skate scenes while getting to rip with them yourself! Big respect from the UK
That kid has serious talent. It also looks like they have a real healthy and modern skate scene. Sweet. I live in Hawaii and our skate parks might as well be 3rd world. Everywhere else has better skate parks than us and they literally steal hundreds of millions of dollars from us in taxes in Hawaii which is the highest taxed low income bracket in America! Even islands with no infrastructure in Indonesia have better skate parks than us. God bless.
He makes it look easy.. :) Malaysia's weather is crazy.. It'd be too sunny in the morning then all of a sudden it'd be raining pretty hard in the afternoon.
I spent a couple months in Kuala Lumpur went to kiara skatepark all the time. Shoutout everyone there recognise lots from your videos - love from Alex 🏴
im so happay that u dudes come down to my country and chilled and skated and did what is. much love to you ian. gwa duk dekat andalas klang. budak punk gak....andalas skate part . peace out to the crew ! up malaysia! :)

I'm an expat working in KL it's an amazing place to work and live though it's super hot. Would be a great city to skate but at 47 my days are no more than just pushing around and some basic tricks.
Hey man! Great city indeed.i did a video coming next week with 48 year old local from KL coming next week. The guy still skate twice a day. Great inspiration nonetheless
@No-bi3pb your a tripper, I have a well paid job and I spend my earnings here and pay taxes. I have worked in many countries in Asia, it's my choice where and when I go next.

im a Malaysian, i didnt know we have a very talented young skater! i always adore Tony Hawk and see his stunts. and i didnt know we had a skateboard park in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. I know there are many numbers of MRT station and I am surprise it turn out to be MRT underground and a skate park on top which is awesome!
pretty sick..if they keep building skate plazas like that around SouthEast Asia (Malaysia,Indonesia,Thailand,Laos,Cambodia,Burma.etc) the scene will start to thrive, and in the next 10 years or so I bet we will start seeing some serious talent come out of the region. I predict Thailand and the Phillipines as the next biggest scenes to come up..
@@Theskatenomad yeah..i'm kind of surprised by that..because there are actually a big number of filipino's in the skate community..worldwide..and pros..Willy Santos should be like the Tony Hawk of the Phillipines..he should raise money to build parks around the PI..Sean Malto is half filipino too.and Margie is an active sponsored rider..cmon RED BULL! lol

I love it 🙏🙏
It is nice. We don't bite.
so happy to see that there are also nice and calm muslims, in Europe the muslims are so intense and hatefull@@mohdsalehuddinabdulwahab3876
When I think of one word to describe Malaysian people, it’s not nice. It’s sombong.
