Thank you for your efforts, dear good man. This idea confirms to us that the market products are very fraudulent and deceptive. They do not penetrate iron well and quickly lose their effectiveness, forcing you to continue buying. I have been using your idea for 25 years and it is not ideal, but it is better than the market products. I also innovate and work hard to make tools at home that are better than the market products in all cases. Finally, I tell you that global trade has become very malicious and works against humanity.
tried to sharpen one with a dremel cutoff wheel.. couldn't get any good edge.. I have a tile saw with a diamond wheel so I'll try that next. I can't make more than a divot in steel with a hand drill.. do I have to press down with extreme weight?
@@MrModify I managed to pull it off.. the tile diamond blade tile saw works great, eats into the bit tips nice and clean. Drilling is still a bear with a hand drill, but I think I'll pull it off
Great tips. Good stuff. I've used a Drill Doctor on these and it works very well.
I've seen this done before but you've taken it to the next level by sizing it also, very nice. 😁 Thanks for the video!
You are welcome George.
Watched a guy promote this idea at the state fair in Cheyenne, Wyoming about 1985. Works great.
And I thought I had an original idea.
Can you please make video on the step and items you used to get the shape. You’d mentioned that this was done by hand. Thank you
Sorry I can't make any new videos right now as I am in the process of moving my workshop. You can look for drill bit sharpening videos on you tube.

You need a grinding wheel made for carbide. Check Amazon.
