Excellent advise Mike about playing within yourself! I'm 86 years old and that's what I try to do. Rarely if I off the fairway and if I am, it's not very far. I like your idea of rhythm and tempo and your 3:1 ratio. It's still a game where the majority of the scoring is from 100 yards in! Well Done Mike! Keep up the good work!!!
I think every single golfer should play this on a continual loop. Golf courses need more tee boxes and there should be less shots given as a handicap. Every golfer that can get the club on the ball should develop the skill of getting the ball in the hole and then worry about distance.

my swing speed went to another level when I allowed my left heel to come off the ground in the backswing

My 7 iron speed is around 65 and I’m striving for more speed with not great results!!!
