Hi Goodman, Yes, an ASPO (alternate string pull of) is when you strike a note with your downstroking finger, and then play the next note by plucking or pulling a different string with your fretting finger. So it is different from a regular pull off in that the string that is pulled/plucked is different than the first string that is struck. Also, the string that is pulled is always a higher string than the string that is struck. for example, you might first strike the open 3rd string, than follow that by pulling/plucking the 1st string.
