I think any Aime Leon Dore garment would be nice to see in a breakdown. They've always felt like pinnacle formal streetwear in shapes and construction. Jackets, crochets and so on.
Glad to hear! Joe gives facts when presenting his reviews. This is to ensure that brand owners and consumer can see for themselves what to avoid or use when creating a garment. Also rather than giving opinion base answers, presenting facts make it harder to argue against😊
@Shiftfashiongroup i would like to see carhartt & carhartt wip (work in progress) it would also be cool to see the difference between Patagonia & Revolution Race & North Face fleece jacket ))))
Could you please make a video about different countries that Produce garments? USA / Portugal / Italy / France / China / what’s the production costs? quality of work? Ranking system? And other possible factors. Thanks so much. Love the content
WIP is different in terms of cut. You're going to get a Detroit jacket that's made for work/outdoor use from Carhartt and you're getting one that's going to get one cut for fashion so it will fit differently.
I think it would be super helpful if you guys do more top down angles with close ups so we can better see the garment when you’re assessing the construction and the fabric material when you’re taking it apart. Love these videos! I recently got into sewing and the breakdown of the design and construction of these pieces is very insightful. The mass manufacturing of textiles is really fascinating.
Glad you've been enjoying the content! I'll do some pondering on how we might be able to get some closer shots from the top down, as I agree that it could be really helpful in showing specific construction elements. -Zak
There’s a family owned zipper company in Italy called Racagni (met them once at premier vision in Paris). Honestly, I have no idea why Ri Ri or YKK are known as decent hardware. The work this Racagni family were doing was phenomenal.
Thanks for the review Joe!! I think I would be curious to see what your stance is on the Levi's Premium 511s, or any of their really stretchy premium pairs with Lyocell. Would be fun to learn about the other materials we can see in there and where they falter or perform better in circumstances than regular denim.
Love the videos! Could you talk about cheap stitch verses great quality stitch when discussing each garment? Hidden seam/ exposed seam like on the wrist cuff and shoulders, hem and if it’s Double needle or single. I’m not sure what the X or Z stitch really is, but I’d like to hear your thoughts on it. Externally, I visually dislike them but are they stronger or just lazy for not hiding that seam on the inside of the garment. Hoodie pockets that are double stitched. 🙏🏼 Basically any single stitch I see as half ass an could have been double stitch.
To the people asking for Carhartt vs WIP, you know the difference is cut. Carhartt is workwear and WIP is a street wear brand. The cut changes from being made for work/outdoor use to being fashion focused cuts.
Hey Diego! While everyone wants to know what brand of t-shirts Joe wears because he looks so good in every video, I'm more interested in what his diet and training is like to fit the shirts so well.
A couple of brand suggestions I'd love to see and that I think would do well on the channel: Charles Tyrwhitt (The internet loves these for the 3 for $99 deal that can be had year round) Gustin (Totally different business model, very eye-catching products) Sunspel (Would be interesting to hear your take on the Sea Island Cotton) Your favorite brands for a sub-$100 polo
Amazing video again. Suggestions: 1. Measure gsm of rib / discuss how rib gsm and body gsm are matched. 2. More details about seams. 3. More videos/items with embroidery. 4. More mens sportswear, rather than leggings.
A great video. Love your content keep up the good work. Only thing I want is for the team to pump out these type of videos every week. 😂 Some suggestions/ brands and products for you to review: 1.John Elliot villain hoodie and Escobar sweatpants. 2. Illicit bloc t-shirt 3. About blank hoodies. 4. Made well Japanese denim. 5. Aime Leon dore cashmere crewneck sweatshirt and lightweight quilted jacket from their current collection. 6. Flint and tinder 10 year hoodie. 7. Carhart work wear jacket vintage vs new vs Dickies insulated Eisenhower jacket vs Filson work wear Tin jacket. 8. Abercrombie pop over hoodie. 9. Represent owner club hoodies fleece. 10. Acne studio printed denim. 11. New balance made in U.S.A. hoodie. 12. Buck mason indigo dyed hoodie. 13. Hell star hoodie.
I used to own a store, I carried Carhartt WIP among other brands, Carhartt hoodie, selling price was EUR 95 (this was back in 2015!!!) nice fabric (like most of carhartt WIP), great accessories, but all the M, L and XL sizes we carried, were totally off, it was a raglan sleeve hoodie, armpits would not match, making it sooooo weird to be worn. That hoodie might be around 130 nowadays, considering we sold the Aviation pant at EUR 85.
There's a niche brand that i really like called Faith Connexion that is popular amongst celebrities. Would love to see a video on how their garments are constructed.
Joe, I am on the edge of my seat wondering what t-shirt you are wearing how it rates for you workmanship and quality-wise. Love what you do. Just found the playlist that has all of these videos nicely organized for everyone! Massive W.
I always felt like the yeezy gap balenciaga hoodie was pretty good quality double layer hoodie felt super heavy and comfortable and only was 100-200$ good deal at the time for retail
@@Shiftfashiongroupi just ordered a 2020 vision hoodie from Los Angeles Archive should be similar quality but theres a few sites selling them just look around.
I've wondered what the process is like for cut and sew screen printed graphics for a while, especially when it goes over seams. Do they print notches to suggest where to place the pattern? Is the seam allowance baked into the graphic itself, or is it just pattern matching with extra waste yardage printed?
Surprised that this Represent hoodie is decent. Tried their t shirts about a year ago and it felt pretty awful as a guy who doesn't know anything about fabrics.
Yes, we are adding these to the list now! These are pretty cool brands, where did you hear of them? Are you interested in buying these products now or do you already own a few?

Please do a ygebb Dove Hoodie, it’s my favorite hoodie and seems to be very complicated in design. Would love your thoughts because it’s the complete opposite of the last Yeezy video you did!
That is very true! Joe is very good at noticing the tiny detail in garments, but like he said in the video, it is very minor and commercially acceptable😊

Or maybe wip carhartt vs carhartt ... would be nice to see way prices so different

I love this channel so much. Looking forward to upcoming brands and episodes. So many insights on fabric and production.
Carhartt WIP vs regular Carhartt.
Would be nice to see the differences when comparing similar pieces (e.g. Detroit Jacket)
I second that. The double knee pants comparison would be helpful.
