"Old Dog New Tricks" could be a fitting name for my UA-cam channel, don't you think? Sometimes progress seems so slow that it feels like I'm getting nowhere. But then, there are weeks when real change is noticeable, especially when comparing it to the beginning. It gives me hope.
I'm considering posting more regularly instead of uploading a bunch of clips once a month. I aim to record on days when my brain is working at full capacity (I have good and bad days) - maybe fewer videos, but more frequently.
This leads me to why I play so many pieces instead of sticking to a few. I've noticed that focusing on just a few leads me to memorize patterns rather than read the music. I believe that continuing to read the music will eventually make it easier. Once I can remember a piece without the sheet, it's time to move on. My goal is to master sight-reading once and for all. Timing is next on the list.
