This series was played in December 1987 and was the series sandwiched right between the 1987 WC, Imran's retirement and the W I Tour of 1988. Hence Miandad was the captain. It is the same series of the Shakoor Rana-Gatting incident and the Abdul Qadir series where Qadir snapped 30 wickets in 3 tests and Gooch later said that Qadir on the day he picked 9 wickets bowled better than Warne ever did
