I prayed for a husband, and God almost granted it, but I realized in time it would have been a life of great suffering. My boyfriend was terrible. So I accepted the discipline and now I'm content in my singleness 🥰. Actually I've never been happier in my life.

Great episode. I recognize in my life I have sometimes selfishly prayed for things for my own benefit--things I wanted and was angry I didn't have. By the grace of God, I did not receive such things. Who knows what kind of misery and pain The Almighty was shielding me from? May I be more patient and thankful for the gifts of Christ, and trust that He knows what's best for me.
Wow, ok. Just read the transcript, and it’s making me think about some of my prayers. I know I’m not trying to demand for things, I’m just trying to ask if things are sinful or not, but… there’s that worry that I might actually be trying to demand. Oh I pray that God can help me thru this. Whichever way that leads, let Him give me strength and courage, and the ability to not only resist, but identity temptation.
I have done this especially when I was still in the world. I made decisions then that I had no idea what I was doing or bringing into my life. I disrespected Our Lord. I trampled the gift on the cross all while professing I was a Christian not knowing at all that I wasn't even close to where I needed to be in my walk with Him. Lord, I made decisions that rejected you, that rebelled against you as the people of israel did. I grumbled as they did. In Hosea 13:9 I came against my helper, You! Lord I don't live a lifestyle of rebelling against you. Though on the surface I was good according to society's standards, in my heart, I always went my own way and that is how evil is defined: to go one's own way. I went to college on my terms, I married who I wanted, I have my daughter by who I wanted but I did not return to You in faith! Father, forgive me. Forgive us all for not understanding your supremacy and thank you for rescuing us from ourselves and an eternity of misery.

Can someone help me with this. The lord lead me here and I’m just confused I need direction for this. I was praying for god to show me I didn’t commit the unforgivable sin and I’m stressed and finding no peace since I thought I did. I was getting mad at my mom and then I heard something in my head say Holy Spirit right before I said devil I’ve been fearful, been crying and lost some sleep, I just need someone’s help with what this means, I would never speak blasphemy towards the spirit, and am in fear that the spirit isn’t in me anymore. Please help. pray for me 🙏🏼
You could very well be suffering from religious OCD, which often consists of intrusive and repetitive thoughts that become torturous. There are great resources for dealing with this issue. Please don’t conflate emotions and fears with reality. Do you desire fellowship with Christ and hope in His grace alone for that fellowship? This is evidence that you are not lost. Stay strong. Many Christians have faced the thoughts you are troubled with, including John Bunyan. I highly, highly recommend you read Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, which documents Bunyan’s struggle with his fear of condemnation (I believe to be partially rooted in undiagnosed religious OCD). I prayed for a husband, and God almost granted it, but I realized in time it would have been a life of great suffering. My boyfriend was terrible. So I accepted the discipline and now I'm content in my singleness 🥰. Actually I've never been happier in my life.
I have been arrogant as the people have, thank you Pastor John, for your message. Please pray for me brothers and sisters that He may be merciful to me, even after my sin.
Great episode. I recognize in my life I have sometimes selfishly prayed for things for my own benefit--things I wanted and was angry I didn't have. By the grace of God, I did not receive such things. Who knows what kind of misery and pain The Almighty was shielding me from?
May I be more patient and thankful for the gifts of Christ, and trust that He knows what's best for me.

I have done this especially when I was still in the world. I made decisions then that I had no idea what I was doing or bringing into my life. I disrespected Our Lord. I trampled the gift on the cross all while professing I was a Christian not knowing at all that I wasn't even close to where I needed to be in my walk with Him.
Lord, I made decisions that rejected you, that rebelled against you as the people of israel did. I grumbled as they did. In Hosea 13:9 I came against my helper, You! Lord I don't live a lifestyle of rebelling against you. Though on the surface I was good according to society's standards, in my heart, I always went my own way and that is how evil is defined: to go one's own way. I went to college on my terms, I married who I wanted, I have my daughter by who I wanted but I did not return to You in faith!
Father, forgive me. Forgive us all for not understanding your supremacy and thank you for rescuing us from ourselves and an eternity of misery.

Can someone help me with this. The lord lead me here and I’m just confused I need direction for this. I was praying for god to show me I didn’t commit the unforgivable sin and I’m stressed and finding no peace since I thought I did. I was getting mad at my mom and then I heard something in my head say Holy Spirit right before I said devil I’ve been fearful, been crying and lost some sleep, I just need someone’s help with what this means, I would never speak blasphemy towards the spirit, and am in fear that the spirit isn’t in me anymore. You could very well be suffering from religious OCD, which often consists of intrusive and repetitive thoughts that become torturous. There are great resources for dealing with this issue. Please don’t conflate emotions and fears with reality. Do you desire fellowship with Christ and hope in His grace alone for that fellowship? This is evidence that you are not lost. Stay strong. Many Christians have faced the thoughts you are troubled with, including John Bunyan. I highly, highly recommend you read Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, which documents Bunyan’s struggle with his fear of condemnation (I believe to be partially rooted in undiagnosed religious OCD).
