No disrespect intended, but you installed the cable at the Pedal from the left side of the lever. It's supposed to be installed from the right side. It's far more difficult to install from the right, but you gotta do it. The slight difference in the angle causes the cable to wear and break much sooner. It can happen in a few weeks if you drive it a lot.
My cable just broke the other day. It broke right where the cable meets the S hook, and it was installed from the left side. New cable should be here tomorrow and I'll be sure to install it on the right side.
You can order a few spare cables and keep around for repairs. If it won't go through...just try to use a piece of wire to clean the tubes the cable goes inside...sometimes they get gummed up from age. Keith 2guys how2
tx. a top tip i feel stupid now for not thinking of is putting the greased throttle cable into a bag and feeding it from that.

Mine broke around the same area… still trying to make the cable go through 😅
