Great vlog. I appreciate your honesty and seeing that even people who seem to be lucky all the time also can run bad and get triggered to play differently. I am just coming off a 3-4 month really unlucky downswing that had me playing upside down (at wayyyyyy lower levels than HCL). bb/100?
that is a loaded statement. can you actually characterize this in terms of skill?
@@runningrock124 You'd have to ask Mariano himself. I don't have his exact results unless I wanted to go through every vlog he's posted the last 4-5 years, which frankly I'm not in the mood to do.
Though you are correct that he is whining about variance (which he definitely experienced to a certain extent the last few sessions). He's run into it, but he's also been making some pretty rough plays, but at least he recognizes it after the fact. He'll bounce back
other interesting fact: our brain is wired to explain losing sessions by external factors, and good sessions by internal attribution. It takes a lot of practice and self awareness to be vary of its own mistakes and also not over estimate ones own skill while on an upswing.
Mariano vs Rampage heads up match and somehow they both go broke 🤔🤣 💕
momentum player…it’s just called battling tilt. everyone plays better when they’re winning pretty much everyone does this. that’s why players implicitly target people who are losing and avoid those that are winning
Mariano: “its either a call or 3bet”
Also mariano” in this case i 3 bet” 😭😭😭😭😭
would be nice to see you do a vlog about playing at Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirango......
Take time off if you need it. We’re always gonna be here for you
On the AK VS AA hand , I am surprised you didn’t mention 1st board flop is K high
If you call any of those bets, it is going to be an expensive hand either way with the run out of the first board
Maybe not all in but definitely a big chunk in K high flops
irrelevant, results-oriented thinking
Next hand of note: Are you gonna make another 2/5 vlog at Orange City? Another meet up game there as well?
Bro. He 7bet jammed😂
@@JTmakesfunofdiabled-hs9khprolly why dude said “if you called”
@@isaiahbaker6850 yeah? Called what? The 6 bet? Lmao. That's the point. He shouldn't be calling the 6bet or re raising. Easy fold.
Now you wanna talk about the 4bet being called IP, we can talk, but he doesn't lose 80 grand. He doesn't even lose 40. This is the point
The past few videos I've been trying to figure out, wtf watch that is. Is it wood? Or just like rose gold?
Wishing you luck in your next game Mariano
Mariano, this was the most fun video so far...you played like a donkey...and you realized it...greetings from Amsterdam in The Netherlands ❤💯🤩🙏🏼🤟🏼
The only hand I think Mariano played poorly is the AK.
Getting AK in on a 6bet for a zillion BB’s is just financial suicide. (Not to mention the physical tell of Zhao acting weak/in pain, and then raising).
One of the main reasons I watch this blog is because of your openness with the rough sessions.
Good luck! Keep it up!
Hang in there, good times are just ahead.
keep it going Mariano!
Mariano getting peeled.
Rampage getting peeled.
I guess the world really is ending haha 😅
Did that AK hand with Zhao, did the stand up game come into play at all? I did not see a yellow button by your stack. Do you think it impacted your decision making, or Zhao's?
Seems like sometimes as poker players we get in a head space where we constantly zig when we should zag. You'll come out of it.
