I like the fact that Boba actually finished the rhyme like Vader said to. Vader started the rhyme, flipped “me” twice times, then Boba flipped it once more and finished it off
Ehhh, it wasn't really part of the same scheme. Vader was putting his stress on the matching vowel sounds before "me" in each line (die, ride, rhyme), and Boba just used an ending rhyme scheme where his first line ended with "me."
It's not that big a stretch to think that they did that on purpose, but given that the underlying pattern is totally different I think it's just as likely they just wanted to get to the "boba tea" line.
Fun fact: The first and the last line of this battle is both "I am Adolf Hitler"
And Iron Man started as “I am Iron man” and died with “I am Iron man”

That "shower" bar may be the coldest bar in the entire series. I mean it is arguable... but considering that it came in their 2nd episode of Season 1... their 2nd episode EVER... and it still stands up as a top tier cypher... that punch was spiked.

Clearly the Kill setting incurs a hefty accuracy penalty. So why don't they _always_ use Stun, drop each hero with one shot, then flip their rifles around and _club_ the heroes to death?

Just in case you missed how the "fired up" flip was so hot.
1) Wrote a book and got your people fired up. Meaning his book got people really mad and threw their support behind the movement.
2) Beer hall got fired up. One of the first/major acts exerting "street power" was burning of a building that was then used to blame acting givernment of not being able to address the growing population's resentments.
3) Gun in you mouth and fired up. Of course, it should be well known that Hitler shot himself in his bunker because he knew he had lost everything.
So, fired up scheme meant "worked up", "burned down" and "gunshot". Plus the reference to bunker getting fired up relates to the bombing of Berlin plus shelling from Russian artilary.
The Beer Hall Putsch was actually Hitler's first attempt to seize power in 1923, where he had gathered his supporters in a beer hall and they then tried to take control in Munich but they were beaten by the military/police. :)

I'd say its believable that he took his own life because, military generals captured at war are often tortured and imprisoned if not just brutally killed. War lords as well. Hitler was worse... Than both military generals and third world country war lords... So if I was in the predicament he was presented with. It isn't too crazy to say that'd I would in his place take my own life at the conclusion what punishment I'd endure to my inevitable fate at the hands of the international community. Hence why most people believe he'd tooken his life... Cause it isn't far fetched.

I always felt that the very first line from the start is often overlooked. "Also dope on the mic"
Because, if you think about it, it's absolutely true! Hitler's public speaking skills were top notch. It's basically how he was able to inspire the masses & seize power. Listen to old recordings of his speeches, even if you don't speak German, you can pretty much 'feel' the power in his voice & tell how enthralled the crowds are.
So yeah, it's amazing just how a little throw away line is so deep & accurate.
You gotta wonder which is more powerful: the side that makes the masses believe wholeheartedly that the horrible actions they're taking are for the greater good or the side that intimidates masses into submission. Hitler sort of had both, but as far as I know Vader wasn't much of a charmer.
I think it's also referencing the fact that he's born on 4/20. Which is a number associated with drugs. So he's literally "dope" on the mic

his public speaking skills are beyond anyone i've ever seen. i honestly find it difficult to judge the german people of the time. he appealed to EVERYTHING. unity, brotherhood, the glory of the homeland. it was like "germany first, germany first, germany first" but on steroids. soldiers from all parts of germany sharing their stories. things like "they laugh at us, at our stupidity" and "we'll make germany great again", which was very effective due to the humiliation and frankly unfairness of the aftermath of ww1.
and no. i'm not a nazi sympathizer, not even remotely close. but it's good to listen carefully to the words and actions of the people with whom you disagree. that way you can find the root causes and try to prevent such atrocities from happening again.

I have to say I love how Scru takes these battle so seriously. I have been a fan of ERB for years and he's the first reaction videos to take them seriously and give them the respect they deserve. I love it.
I don’t know how many people might know this but Hitler is considered by many history buffs as one of the greatest public speakers of all time, just take into account how many people he influenced to do what he did. Like SFJ said, he throws so much passion into his rapping. This is actually very good on ERBH behalf it shows they actually research the character they display in their videos.
Yeah I've actually watched a few clips of his speeches and honestly it's something you just listen to even if you can understand what's being said and know he's most likley spouting hate the way speaks just hold attention.
It's what made him dangerous, not because he was some brilliant leader but because he could convice huge crowds to follow him.
Yeah. They may consider him one of the greatest public speakers of all time. But when ya got people who are oppressed due to the treaty of Versailles, so in debt that had to create a new currency, Starving, etc. It’s not hard to persuade em. Not just hate. I'm German and many clips of Hitler's public speeches people on UA-cam constantly use have him talking about pride and resurgence from the bottom, where many German's felt they had fallen after WWI.

According to Star Wars lore, they happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. So that would mean that Darth Vader was the original “most evil” and the originator of the stormtroopers. That’s if we treat them both as real characters as ERB is doing for the sake of the battles.

1st Battle: Vader won because of that "Who even knows if I'm your father" bar.
2nd Battle: Hitler won because of that "Now you're 6' 6" and black, but can't get a date!" and "You couldn't even get your own son into the family business!"
3rd Battle: Vader won cause... c'mon, that "fired up" bar is one of the most brilliant bars they ever did.
Also man, you have to check Cleopatra vs Marilyn Monroe, the bars on that battle are some of the best in the whole series
@@lordoa The first one wasn't really historically accurate at all. It was formatted like a real world rap battle between people with very surface level knowledge of each other.
It's excusable though since it was their first season and probably didn't really find what made the series special yet.

My favorite thing about these 3 raps, is you get to see ERBs bars and production grow over time
subtle jab that a LOT of people miss is the "let me paint you a picture, son- portrait of a bitch after WW1." which is referring to the fact that hitler was a painter and wanted to be an artist but was rejected from multiple art schools because he only painted landscapes, but never portraits or people. absolute FIRE
it's also why there was a big movement in nationalism/naturalistic art in Germany once he took power. We learned about it in college. Essentially when Hitler was in art school the big movements were more absurdist/abstract. While he was a good painter he didnt fit in with what the current art movements were doing. Even while a dictator he personally oversaw a lot of the blueprints for new buildings and help redesign things or make changes. It's interesting to think such an evil person could've had such a different outcome in life

Hitler’s SA (the stormtroopers) were also known as the ‘brown coats’, hence ‘piece of shit’, and the clone part refers to the clone army becoming the first stormtroopers when the Empire is created. Vader is comparing his far superiors clones to Hitler’s pieces of shit.

It's fun seeing how far they come with the writing in the lines.
You can really see how ERB grew in skill and production values over the years in this video. Totally agree that that 'Fired up' set was the dopest, illest, tightest, whatever-est flow I've seen in any ERB (and I think I've seen most of them by now.) SMACK!!!!!
This is still one of my favorite ERBs. There's a line I have no business loving as much as I do but "Everything you do is an EPIC FAIL, now stand at attention and SIEG FUCKING HEIL" Is just so terrible ethically, but spits so god damn hard lyrically I can't help but love it.
have to think to as far with how EL does his characters he gets into the character role and tries to rap and he thinks they would sound. so i give major props to him for keeping a decent flow and keeping in character and making some solid slams.
