My stress at work has skyrocketed and I'm looking for a way out. Not easy at the current situation, but I can no longer take it. It's abnormal and inhumane, so I agree - stress cannot be a "normal" lifestyle. People waste their time and energy on meaningless things, we lose our faces, we lose our souls, we are blindfolded. That is why we need people like you, that is why we need you Kerli - to gently show us that our world can have different colours, that our mind and soul can and must be nurtured. Pardon my language, but I cannot wait to see you as a badass "vanamutt" - I can only imagine how rad you'd be with your drum and your chants, a wise old woman who tells tales about life and what not to younger generationd. You are badass now too, but keep it going! There aren't many shamans and healers among us anymore like Kaika laine, Vigala Sass and Vormsi Enn. They too had their own, a different kind of take on life. People need people like that.
KERLI thank you so much for inviting us along this documentary Journey!!! Watching you evolve throughout the years has been pretty amazing. I have been inspired ever since shadow work the creativity and perspective on the world #THEEVOLUTIONOFKERLI
The topic you talk about are really vital. Our roots are the most powerful and pure thing to simply unleash what we want to create or say. I've moved back to my Sardinia after a long time, after I thought for years, that I had nothing to do with it all. I was wrong. I am a writer because I came back here. You're still a traveller but you certainly know where you belong. Thank you Kerli. 🌙
The part about not needing to be stressed and the world is just a playground I have felt that for about a year now and thank you for putting this out!!! I love you Kerli!!!
I really appreciate these behind the scenes videos. I found you several years ago when you started posting videos from back home, as a way to connect to Estonia. What you have been creating since then has been so inspiring. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey.
Yesss girl and I’m with you. I agree with you connecting to your family roots. Because when you feel disconnected it’s due to being distant from your culture, and heritage. I believe in spirituality too as well.
My grandmother fled Estonia during the war. I'm born and raised in Canada but wanted to experience Estonia. I lived in Estonia for 1 year in 2017. It was an amazing experience. Estonia will always be my 2nd home😍
Kerli is such a rare artist, she began with a dream young and adventurous, then to be called home and embrace her roots and experiance her culture as a mature adult. Shadow Works shows the growth and change to her true self. Love ya girl

Kerli, you have been my inspiration ever since I was a child and your music has always resonated with me. This documentary just further proves to me why you're one of my biggest role models when it comes to experiencing life in the rawest form. I cannot wait for the other parts 💗
This is the first time I've ever heard of anybody not of Indian descent with the name Kerli. I find it quite cool that a name means something so different though it is spelled and pronounced the exact same. Kerli is the name of my late father (1970-2021) who died a couple months ago of covid-19 and cancer, it means "Golden Necklace." Anyway this is a great documentary and I hope you are doing happily and healthy. Thanks to my English friends for showing me your music and introducing me to you. As for me, in relation to a couple of the thigns you mention, I was born in Singapore, but moved to the UK in 2010 at the age of 17 right before I turned 18. I don't feel any love or pride in the fact that I am Singaporean. I've always felt that the laws back in Singapore are stupid and that Singaporeans have enver rubbed me the right way even though I am one myself. I've always identified with India even though I've never been there nor has my father. My mum is Malaysian but was bor nin Singapore like me, and I have a little sister named Karen Singh. I wish I could feel the desire to reconnect with Singapore like you do Estonia, but I'm somewhat ashamed of my Singaporean-ness, and I know it's wrong but I hate being Singaporean. I prefer to identify as British. As for nature, I don't know nature. I was born on an island that is a huge city, and now I live in Southampton and before that I studied in Australia, but always in the city. I'm actually scared of nature and the wilderness, so there isn't no "natural" side to Aden Singh. However I'm also struggling with who I am at times because I want to be proud of where I come from and I want to embrace my home like you learned to do. However it's hard for me because I've always hated Singapore despite it being where I spent the first 16 years before I moved to Australia then the UK. Anyway I hope you're doing well. Love, Aden.
Hi Aden! Such a cool story with my name! Does it mean "golden necklace" in hindi? Or which language?:) Much love to you...I don't know if there's ever a time where we have fully "found" ourselves and stop searching. From my experience, every time if "found myself", I change...I guess it's all just about the journey and finding as much fulfillment in that as possible
@@KERLImusic You are exactly right, it is Hindi, though the Singh side of my paternal family is also Panjabi Sikh, though my father converted to Hinduism then atheism. Yes it is a struggle to figure out who we are and feel proud of it, especially when I've grown up all my life hating the place where I originate. That is why I heavily look up to people like you who seam to have found your way. My father (the one who shared your name) also struggled to find himself, and he may never have truly found himself. Like me he has always hated Singapore and its society and like me, as soon as he moved to the UK with us in 2010 he became much happier being called British despite spending 40 of his 51 years in Singapore. I now completely embrace British society and customs and see myself as a complete Brit. Maybe some day I will be proud of being born and raised in Singapore, but I don't know how I'll ever reach that point given both mine and my dear late father's views on Singaporean society and the absolutely mental laws that govern it. Anyway, loads of love from here in Hampshire, and I hope you come to the UK soon.
I've been obsessed with Kerli since I was 12 and Im 23 now. She has been such a huge inspiration throughout my life and I really appreciate all the directions she has taken, all eventually leading back to HER.
