tp get to the balloon as an imperial, you will need to get a heroic mission from Mos Ila spaceport. One about prisoners, that will drop you fairly close to the start of the balloon ride. OTherwise, you will keep dying of exhaustion.
I figured out a new jump for the 5th Datacron! Precise Mounted Sideways Curve Jump. Mount up, Hold Right Click, Jump, midair side, then while falling, hold opposite direction to change directions.

doing it now. They made baloon abit faster and now it fully stops for couple of seconds near starting vehicle.

You can also bypass all the platforming for the first on by having a friend force push you up the rock next to the building

To get to the sand crawler, grab the daily heroic mission 'prison Labour'. It will get you close without heat exhaustion.
