- The Odin is one of those ships that I just enjoy, and that can get me laughing maniacally. Nothing in life is cheap, especially around here, but if you're in the market for a tier 8 premium, and were about as excited about the Anhalt as I was, then this might be something for you.

It's always a cool battleship, Odin, and it's a good battleship to deal with the other ships
There is a Warhammer 40k Odin, it's a permanent camo Odin, but still good nonetheless. You even get a consumable that increases shell penetration that has the Warhammer voice line that says "We are the angels of death"
I do want an actual Odin though... I got that Warhammer 40k Odin for 9000 gold, so it was a fairly cheap way to grab an Odin like ship
I have the Cross of Dorn as well, it’s definitely a fun ship and the special skill does increase main gun AP penetration by 20% so it can pack a decent punch. It also gets two secondary overload 1s vs the Odin’s one SO 2.
I’m sorely tempted by the Odin bundle though, the Adelheld camo with 6% secondary and autosecondary range would make it even more hilarious.
That sounds like a good deal - I'm not a fan of crossovers, although I do like WH40k on its own.
@@FunandGameswithTerry I don't mind some crossovers, but others.... they can burn in unquenchable flames.
There is a camo in the bundle which is great for a secondary build. I actually paid for the bundle just for the camo. They compensate you with gold and silver if you already have the Odin.
Yes, just realised that there are two permanent ones in the bundle... despite the anime camo being better, I just can't, personally 😂 I wish they did alternate camos with those stats that didn't look like, well, that...

Ive got her in the cross of down Version and she is easy one of my favorite battleships, in the right hands and with an average Team seh can do an hell of damage and fun
The Cross of Dorn is a great ship!
They annie camo boost the secondary guns and torp and it is nice for destroyer and crusier hunting. I have like 700 games in her
I didn't realise there were two camos... why on earth would anyone want to buy a bundle like that?
@@FunandGameswithTerry HAHA. its just a different playstyle type camo. There is a few ways to Odin.

The Odin was on my must-have list for a pretty long time, so it only makes sense i bought her right away after i seen her in market and boy, isn't she beautiful...👍👍 Although i can't tell if i like her more than Brandenburg since i'm craving that ship as well 🤔
The Odin and The cross of dorn the warhammer Odin are Great. The Brandenburg is awesome too,she is just not as good as Odin in secondary power. But the Brandenburg has a stronger Broadside. Armor there about the same. Brandenburg is a good ship.
@@justin3415I still prefer Odin, since she is a smaller ship, and lower in the water and therefore a bit harder to hit.
Love my own Odin, it’s just such a powerful and fun battleship, it’s basically a Tier 9 German super cruiser like Agir at tier 8.
With the difference that it's T8, which is huge in this instance - she's not facing a flurry of 18'' shells, which is what makes supercruisers so hard to play in high tiers imo.
@@FunandGameswithTerry the only 18 inch shells she can face would be from Musashi so yeah, I’m just comparing her stats to that of Agir and they’re for the most part on par with each other, so yeah Odin is basically a Tier 9 supercruiser with Tier 8 matchmaking, just with slightly better armor than the Agir.
Pissed off cause she was a stand alone bundle for €22 earlier today, now she’s the full bundle for €57
Ah really? That sucks. I think the bundle comes in with the historical camo and an anime portrait, but that's definitely not worth more than doubling the price

The Odin bundle on at the moment has two camos, the historical one as well as the Adelheld anime camo that has +6% range on secondaries and autosecondaries - which is probably the better camo to have if you want to go with a a full secondary build.
The Anhalt can be a fun ship too, but it is far more passive in play style than most German BBs. I thought it was fun to try initially, but while the 15 guns can dish out a lot of damage the ship is very slow and has such poor manoeuvrability that there are games where you struggle to make much of an impact because the action just isn’t where you are and by the time you get there it’s over. It’s kind of an inverse Odin 😂
Oh, there were _two_ camos in that bundle? I thought that was a portrait. Why would anyone want to spend money on two permanent camos?
I did remember that there was an alternative one, and yes, those stats are usually better.
Anhalt is not bad its just a little different playstyle.But totally understand your point. I find that u play it as a slow moving gun platform. Now if u pick engine mod it does improve it some.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s a bad ship at all, it’s just very different in play style from most German BBs from t7 onward.

I can see a rationale for both if you like using it for different play styles - the historical camo is more general purpose, while the special camo is more for going all out on the secondaries. But yes, generally one permanent camo is enough.

Terry I love your Hearts of irons vids but it seems that the algorithm is screwing your channel over in terms of views and statistics when you release in non wows vid . How do you plan to overcome this issue?
Yes, I know. That's why I've launched a second channel a couple of weeks ago, which is going to be the home for HOI4, Ultimate Admiral and similar content, whereas this one will be exclusive to games like warships blitz/legends, maybe some war thunder mobile from time to time etc.

Vampire in Sydney
Maritime museum in Sydney is nice, you get to walk through HMAS Vampire (Daring class) and Onslow (Oberon class sub). If you happen to be further north, the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum near Cairns is worth a visit, and you can ride an FV432 APC

How does this compare to Cross of Dorn?
The WH40k version trades precise aim for HE damage & AP pen, and gets defAA instead of sonar.
Personally, I think sonar on this ship is underrated. In the kind of tight, aggressive situations I like to play, sonar is invaluable, whereas defAA on this is more of an occasional thing.
@@FunandGameswithTerry Sonar is what makes this ship effective, T10 2ndaries or not. I bought this to train a Bismark captain and now it's just a monster even without a Epic/Legendary commander.

Battlecruisers listed as battleships are good. Battlecruisers listed as cruisers are trash.

11:24 not afraid of an Iowa? Have you tried an IOWA or a Montana with a level 11/12 commander? Even a non premium commander? ESPECIALLY APCS and Citadel Strike. Yeah... I've done 160k with my Montana and 140k with Iowa.
An Iowa that knows what they're doing, yes. But you can often tell if a player is a threat or not. In this case I was referring to that particular Iowa, not the ship in general (even though I'm not a huge fan)
