Newcastle were the club that made me fall in love with the sport as an American living overseas. The spirit of the club is just undeniable. Howay the lads!
I became a fan when my countrymen Nobe Solano played for the club now in my 50s still a Newcastle fan and I’m looking forward to see them winning !!!!! 🎶🎼🎵Going Home🎶🎼🎵
Well I'm from Poland and started my interest in Newcastle around 2005, fell in love with it and supported throughout the whole time. I'm so happy for the fans in the city and around the world for this exciting times ahead. This club deserves it!
Am a fan since 1970. Utterly enjoying the (not so) slow steady build of the Club now. Seeing the way the guys are so committed to playing as a TEAM, to hear EH say anyone they sign must be of the right character, its all just fantastic! Look at the improvements in legacy players - Miggy / Joelinton for example speaks tons about EH coaching abilities. It must be fantastic to be in ST James for a game - "WORFLAGS" is just awesome. I firmly believe that Newcastle as a PROPER Club, with PROPER fans and PROPER management are really now going places. HTL!!
Been a fan since i was 7 in 88. I'm used to the roller-coaster ride. Nothing can break the spirit of the toon army. We've seen it all and experienced it all. Looking forward to this new era.
Newcastle United are a real footballing club despite being taken over, have been spending wisely and slowly moving themselves up the table since last season and they together with my another favourite English club Arsenal to save the English First Division from being destroyed by the spoilt brat clubs of more than ten years Chelsea and Manchester City, good friends!!!🙏
Yes because sports washing is allowed, so long as it’s done by a brutal Muslim fundamentalist dictatorship that has killed 400 000 civilians in a brutal war of oppression, stones women to death, dismembers journalists, threatens the west with jihad, and sponsors Wahhabi Islamic extremist terrorist groups that bomb out cities, but that’s all fine because it’s Newcastle
@@aaronhughes2550 They are also a real footballing club, just like Newcastle United and in fact both of these respective clubs were established back in the year 1892,good friend!!!🏋♂️
People who play down the Tyne and Wear derby truly do not understand that there once was literal military battles between the residents of the city in the past. I do miss the derby days, whenever the next one is best believe it will be very very spicy.
I was there in the gallogate end against Udopest Dosa in 69 as a 12year old forever in my memory, I can't afford a season ticket on a pension but get there when I can, the glory day's are back the city has it's smile back as we are the one's to watch HWTL
Note on the Rangers Semi Final. Rangers Fans invaded the pitch after our second goal went in and attempted to bring down the goal posts in a bid to get the game called off and force a replay. My grandad tells me it was the most intense game hes ever seen.
As a newcastle fan this video was eye opening to me as to how many cups we fell short of. I always remember telling me as a kid about all the history but never took it in. Thanks for the insight and love the chanel 🤟🤟
As a Sunderland fan I must say that Newcastle really are the very best club in the world and my only regret is missing out on supporting them by a whisker. Oh well at least I get to sit on the pink seats with my cheesy chips and watch mediocre football with the hope Netflix will film another STID series
That must have been tough to write and post but I respect your honesty. I don't think I'm speaking out of turn when I say all Sunderland fans think the same so you're not alone.
Newcastle has a somewhat unique geography, the city itself has a small population, is very commercial/ leisure orientated. Many data collectors forget to include North Tyneside, (South) Northumberland, Gateshead and South Tyneside districts which all comprise the metropolitan sprawl of the city and is where most people live and commute from. Because Newcastle is the only professional team in that area, up to Scotland and across to Carlisle the potential fanbase could be considered more like: Newcastle 300k North Tyneside 205k Northumberland 320k Gateshead 200k South Tyneside 150k (50% split Sunderland = 75k) County Durham 520k (50% split Sunderland = 260k) Therefore the gross population catchment for Newcastle is more like 1.36m. Even just 4% of this number would sell out the stadium, which is why it ALWAYS sells out. You are probably right that more like 15-20% of the population are active fans so stadium expansion is definitely on the table for the new owners.
I was trying to say something similar minus data, this is a very sparse area of England I think it was about 3% of population of England live in North East, the catchment area is effectively from Scotland, North Northumberland down to North Yorkshire area, a vast area. I have been on Northumberland coast recently and seen on a match day guys in B&W getting in car on hour drive to Newcastle. Also the Irish Centre by SJP, don't forget them. In the T Dan Smith days they wanted to build a 60-70k stadium so certainly there is enough interest!
Good video. Couple of things. Newcastle's true population is not just within the 'city' boundaries. The true size of Newcastle is the general Tyneside area which is just under a million people. That is why it has such good crowds. You also might have mentioned the champions League campaigns beating the likes of Barca 3-2 and Juve etc and also the 2 FA cup finals of the late 90s. But otherwise great research and great video. Thanks 👍

Your demography is off a little but still it is a great video HITC. Newcastle has a large catchment area up to Scottish Borders, down into Durham and Yorkshire Border, I know of a lot of people who come in on match day from Northumberland, also Tyneside is also including Gateshead, North Tyneside and South Tyneside. I think in the demographic distribution of England's populace the North East of England is about 3%, very very sparse up in these parts of England, so 97% of population of England are not in North East, something like this. Thanks, just trying to emphasize that there are so few people who live up here in contrast to the Bigger Cities of England.
All we ever wanted was a club that tried! And 14 years we were held to random by Ashley. To have this club back, and to have a club that is free of him! That is now awoken and is trying. We couldn't be fucking happier! The future is bright boys and girls!! HWTL
