The DVD player may have had its day in the sun, but the best DVD players can still offer a quality viewing experience at a price far below many of today’s media players. In fact, most audiovisual setups can benefit from the addition of a modern DVD player since many of today's DVD players come equipped with helpful features such as access to smart TVs or hard drives. In today’s video, we will be pitting two high-end DVD players - the Sony DVP-SR510H and the Panasonic DVD-S700 - against each other in a battle of epic proportions. Both of these scanners have earned five badges from our team at In the tech room, attesting to their quality, durability, and performance. However, there’s only one room for a winner, so sit back, relax, and watch as we battle it out in today’s Brand Wars!

I use the Sony unit as a bonus CD player for my home stereo
Hello, greetings. Do you recommend me to buy the Panasonic S700 DVD player? 🤔
how do you connect the smaller one to the tv with the cables
I see this is another one of those videos that doesn't provide any actual information. I'm pretty sick of these things.
Thanks good video
Great! Thanks for watching!
Do they play burned DVD+R?
does it have a screen display on the machine . You know like a lCD display
Can you tell me in your honest opinion; The Sony can really upscale the resolution into a true 1080p quality or near! I have over 1k DVD's that I refuse to give away. For the life of me, that I didn't know about the existing of these DVD Players until yesterday. Thank you man! Any help will be highly appreciated.
They both have pretty amazing upscaling. Almost as good as a blu ray with a high quality dvd. Some dvd's were not mastered to as high a standard as others, of course. The Panasonic has some of the best error correction that I've seen to play scratched discs, can even be hacked to all region and has a pretty decent dac.

I I’d recommend the previous version of the Sony…the DVP-S500H. It has a component output, which the 510 doesn’t. And it also has a digital display, which got removed in the 510. The up scaling on the Sony over HDMI is very good, even on a 4k tv it has a nice image. It is a loud player, though.
The Panasonic can burn CD's onto my player which I find extremely useful as I have hundreds of them. I never download music so it's a must for me
DVD player that is
hello
I say Sony won it has better picture quality you said and that’s all I’m looking for
Urrrrgh another promo video!, here is a genuine experience , had that Sony dvd, a genuine piece of crap, noisy as hell, tinny build which dents easily, compartment keeps jamming!, picture freezes and jutters, and the cheap plastic compartment opener broke off for no reason... stick with your desktop PC, or watch files on hardrive or USB on TV. P.S. that Panasonic looks like it came from the same factory
UPDATE,
I went ahead and took a chance with the Panasonic DVD - S700 as it was on deal, trust me, its night and day with that crappy Sony, no noise whatsoever, smooth as a baby's behind, suprising how Panasonic are still delivering good reasonable quality and prices with all this disposable comsumer culture these days 👍🏻
That Panasonic is very nice. Plays beat up dvd's much better than other players. Beautiful picture. Can be hacked for all regions. Has a nice dac with good sound for cd's.
I just bought the sony one days ago, I can't believe how noisy it is, the reason I came here was to see if anyone else had the same problem, my old Sony dvd player was extremely quiet, seems like sony are selling crap these days.
@@fightingcockcoglan Send it back and get the Panasonic S700 instead asap, you will be very glad that you did, I was actually wondering when I owned that Sony dvd if it was always noisy like that or if mine developed a fault, but you just confirmed it, thanks, indeed shocking how noisy it is, anyways yeah get the Panasonic, I took a chance as it was on deal and it is night and day, very good quality from them, no noise whatsoever 👍🏻
P.S. for me I think after the PlayStation 3 era Sony started to go downhill ?
