Jean Sibelius' tone poem The Oceanides (Aallottaret) was composed in 1913-1914. Conductor: Andrew Davis Orchestra: The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra
Sibelius in pure impressionist mode...someone once described the score as "a pointillist's nightmare", but to the ear it it is a seamless whole. This piece evokes the sea for me even more directly than Debussy's La Mer. I hear the gulls crying, feel the storm winds on my cheek, and ride the towering wave until it breaks into sunlight and calm seas....
I love how Sibelius is such a beloved composer to some people (me included) but can’t help feeling sad that his music doesn’t touch everyone as deeply.

Kylläpä kauniisti kuvailet hänen tuotantoaan, kuulostat runoilijalta, kiitos Sinulle.
I can't understand why this masterpiece isn't performed more often.
I absolutely love this masterpiece.

You can say that about any composer.
Magnificent!
Who is the conductor? Anh which is the orchestra? Tell me please. Thanks.
I think is probably the Apex recording performed by the Royal Stockholm Orchestra and conducted by Andrew Davis.
