I... needed to hear this... What Kim said, about feeling like she was born a mistake, spoke to me. I've been fighting the urge to be a lesbian for years now. The reasoning was because for years I was told I was not normal for not wanting to have sex during middle school. it wasn't even that I was chaste, I literally had no interest in anyone like that (nevermind that I have a somewhat androgynous build) - I preferred keeping pure simply because that's what God made me as, but I was lead to believe (by some and by the logic of my human and therefore flawed mind) that it would be better to like women. I have felt dead in my faith, questioned my belief multiple times, fallen in and out of a deep, grey depression that leaves me aching with pain and often times rage at why this is happening to me, and asked God "why give me the gift of faith if I'm going to lose it??" but I hold on to this I have had three dreams (Not consecutively) of which God Himself has pulled me put of the devil's grasp. One of them, specifically, I remember when I held what I knew for a fact to be the Sword of the Spirit, because it was not made of metal but of such a pure, blinding light not even the sun could rival it, it burned away the fog surrounding me, and I could barely look at it for just the barest of seconds while squinting hard. The most unique feature about it, however, was that it's handle was God's hand holding mine. I felt His hand holding mine, I have no idea how to explain it. I just know cause His grip was certainly stronger than mine. Together, we charged down the hill - sword held high - to cut down the devil. My second blessing, through much prayer and supplication I have developed this hunger for God. I had no idea where to direct it, but now I do - I thank God because He sent me to this video. I am still going under refinement, but I know I am getting somewhere. Slowly, but surely, I am living the fruits of these quiet, seemingly lonely and hurting moments. God bless.

I love this testimony. So so so much. And the way you describe our father.... I love our father's way of speaking to me sooooo much. When his presence fills my heart and soul. I just love it. The day I encountered my father is the day I could never go back to my old days. I just constantly want to tell everyone that Jesus loves them. So many people feel alone but this is NOT TRUE. Thank you God for this preaching testimony, i was thinking of going shopping but i stay and listen to Kim, it makes sense to all of what she said, serving God with such an anointing came with a price of seeking Him in His presence every day.
Those people who questioned Kim's standing of her faith simply don't understand how God's love can transform a person inside and out. We should stop judging people and allow Jesus to be the center of our life.... not the worship bands, leaders, or preachers but Jesus. But, we must NEVER judge other as well as idolize any other.
I have listened to her for years and I absolutely love the God in her! She's amazing and totally adores Jesus. My most favorite Christian artist, the way she speaks and goes into worship, just really draws me closer yo God! Very passionate, and sincere with her love for Christ!!! Going deeper in His presence. Too often we want to find a spiritual answer for a simple relationship failure. Worship is not just singing, or getting a high in praise. It is being Jesus to those around you, doing good thing, meeting needs, being transformed to empathise, to reach out and help, to bring healing. You can end up aspiring to be the prophet, to leading others, rather than being the humble supporter of others, doing what needs to be done and praising God while doing it. Once you begin to realise Jesus loves all your acts on his behalf, they should not be measured, but done out of heart of love. His people walking in his ways are Jesus walking on earth. Jesus came to show love without being all knowing, all powerfull, just a man, is victorious. If you want deeper worship, you need to walk deeper into sharing love and letting love rule your heart, becoming pure, letting the spirit wash you clean.

it is good she describes a passionate relationship with God. sometimes we can become clinical in our following of Him. but theres no scriptural references. scripture is the way we doscern between truth and error not according to experience or feelings. i cant say she didnt experience Gods love, but Gods love was demonstrated on the cross. where is the mention of forsaking sin and obeying Christs word and taking up her cross? we ought to be passionate about communion with Christ. but not only do we pray, we search the scriptures to know who we are worshipping and loving, leading to deeper understanding of the one we follow leading to deeper worship and obedience and abiding in Him. i have been decieved by the way of pentecostalism. i have now found a balance of worshipping in spirit and truth passionately yet not giving heed to experience, rather the illumination of scripture by the Spirit. i love Gods presence. but it is not there to make me giddy. it is a comfort anongst real trials sufferings and heartaches. sometimes his presence is hidden and thats when i run to the word and believe by faith that yes he still loves me and yes he is faithful
Shimms Koopelian -- let me ask you to reflect upon something I just recently noticed -- how did the earliest followers of Jesus -- that is after he ascended into heaven -- know how to discern the will of God? There were only Hebrew scriptures. If you are of the "Sola Scriptura" camp, you would have to say that every Christian who didn't personally walk with Jesus, and before there was even a Bible as we know it today (which is about 275 years) would not have had an opportunity or the "tools" to know proper doctrine. God must have provided a sure and certain way to know his will -- to know how to live in a way pleasing to him --when there was no Bible, or in some cases just small portions of th 66 books we count today. How do you suppose God provided for those 20 or so generations of Christians to properly follow him without the modern Bible? Deification of the modern Bible is just an illogical and absurd proposition created by people who haven't thought it through carefully.
I grew up in a household that worshiped a specific version of the bible more than the One who spoke it into existence. This experience caused me a lot of grief over the years. That same version of the bible that they condemned was the same version that God used to get His message across to me because it was in a language I could understand. Not long after I got saved, God lead me away from this version and to an even better version. I'm now thankful that He freed me from the bondage of condemnation and fear. He's powerful enough to speak through and use ANYTHING and He loves us enough to keep us from being deceived if we are truly seeking Him.

I read many of the comments. I don't know why people got so distracted about the church or instruments or her clothes. When I do that it means I wasn't ready for the message. Kim is awesome here. Use the Spirit if your a Christian. Christians are all different but are one as well. She speaks the truth. Either God is everything or nothing to you. I have to have my relationship w Him first and a girlfriend or mate second. If I don't have Him I have nothing if I have every material thing and not Him I have nothing. If I have Him and nothing else I have Everything.

It seems odd when people have casual encounters with the One who dwells in unapproachable light. I'm not sure how we can know what Kim's "God given purpose" is, but I think God's love is different than most people think. I compare her experience to the Bible because I believe the Bible is a safe standard. A psychic or a medium could give an account just like Kim's.Having a standard helps God's children with discernment. I don't hold any malice against Kim or Bethel/Jesus Culture, but they seem to place what seems to me too much emphasis on signs and wonders. Jesus Himself said an evil and adulterous generation seeks signs. I don't know exactly what that means, but I don't think it's good. I hope I don't offend you.
I wish I could share your happiness. Her description is so bizarre and so different from any description of God in the Bible that I have to wonder where this vision came from. Of course God loves us. He is also going to judge the living and the dead, and pronounce some very very terrible judgments on the Earth someday (according to Revelation). It's a mistake to emphasize God's love and ignore His justice. They are both part of who He is.
Aaahh, the "do not judge" retort. It never takes long to get to that. In John 7:24 Jesus tells us to judge with sound judgement. By your "do not judge" argument, no christian is ever able to say something is contrary to sound doctrine. II Tim 4:3 says- "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;" This is why these types of ministries are so popular. They teach a kind of religion which places no duties or demands on believers. You say I'm free not to participate in JC. Thanks! But my concern is that they occupy a place of influence in American Christianity. Their music shapes theology; their emphasis is achieving a subjective, mystical experience. I've seen this in other churches in different forms; it seems to produce people who are always looking for a new experience. If we don't carefully evaluate our experiences against an objective standard (the Bible), there is a danger of being mislead by"lying signs and wonders". Consider Matt 24:24; I think this warning is for today, or sometime in the near future. I really wish I could like Jesus Culture, many of my friends are fond of them. I've asked God many times to show me if my impressions are wrong.

it is good she describes a passionate relationship with God. sometimes we can become clinical in our following of Him. but theres no scriptural references. scripture is the way we doscern between truth and error not according to experience or feelings. i cant say she didnt experience Gods love, but Gods love was demonstrated on the cross. where is the mention of forsaking sin and obeying Christs word and taking up her cross? we ought to be passionate about communion with Christ. but not only do we pray, we search the scriptures to know who we are worshipping and loving, leading to deeper understanding of the one we follow leading to deeper worship and obedience and abiding in Him. i have been decieved by the way of pentecostalism. i have now found a balance of worshipping in spirit and truth passionately yet not giving heed to experience, rather the illumination of scripture by the Spirit. i love Gods presence. but it is not there to make me giddy. it is a comfort anongst real trials sufferings and heartaches. sometimes his presence is hidden and thats when i run to the word and believe by faith that yes he still loves me and yes he is faithful
Shimms Koopelian -- let me ask you to reflect upon something I just recently noticed -- how did the earliest followers of Jesus -- that is after he ascended into heaven -- know how to discern the will of God? There were only Hebrew scriptures. If you are of the "Sola Scriptura" camp, you would have to say that every Christian who didn't personally walk with Jesus, and before there was even a Bible as we know it today (which is about 275 years) would not have had an opportunity or the "tools" to know proper doctrine. God must have provided a sure and certain way to know his will -- to know how to live in a way pleasing to him --when there was no Bible, or in some cases just small portions of th 66 books we count today. How do you suppose God provided for those 20 or so generations of Christians to properly follow him without the modern Bible? Deification of the modern Bible is just an illogical and absurd proposition created by people who haven't thought it through carefully.
I grew up in a household that worshiped a specific version of the bible more than the One who spoke it into existence. This experience caused me a lot of grief over the years. That same version of the bible that they condemned was the same version that God used to get His message across to me because it was in a language I could understand. Not long after I got saved, God lead me away from this version and to an even better version. I'm now thankful that He freed me from the bondage of condemnation and fear. He's powerful enough to speak through and use ANYTHING and He loves us enough to keep us from being deceived if we are truly seeking Him.

I read many of the comments. I don't know why people got so distracted about the church or instruments or her clothes.
When I do that it means I wasn't ready for the message. Kim is awesome here. Use the Spirit if your a Christian.
Christians are all different but are one as well. She speaks the truth. Either God is everything or nothing to you. I have to have my relationship w Him first and a girlfriend or mate second.
If I don't have Him I have nothing if I have every material thing and not Him I have nothing. If I have Him and nothing else I have Everything.

Celeste Sonia Thanks. The point I hoped to make was that John, who personally knew Jesus before He was glorified, could not stand in the presence of His glory. It seems odd when people have casual encounters with the One who dwells in unapproachable light. I'm not sure how we can know what Kim's "God given purpose" is, but I think God's love is different than most people think. I compare her experience to the Bible because I believe the Bible is a safe standard. A psychic or a medium could give an account just like Kim's.Having a standard helps God's children with discernment. I don't hold any malice against Kim or Bethel/Jesus Culture, but they seem to place what seems to me too much emphasis on signs and wonders. Jesus Himself said an evil and adulterous generation seeks signs. I don't know exactly what that means, but I don't think it's good. I hope I don't offend you.
I wish I could share your happiness. Her description is so bizarre and so different from any description of God in the Bible that I have to wonder where this vision came from. Of course God loves us. He is also going to judge the living and the dead, and pronounce some very very terrible judgments on the Earth someday (according to Revelation). It's a mistake to emphasize God's love and ignore His justice. They are both part of who He is.
Aaahh, the "do not judge" retort. It never takes long to get to that. In John 7:24 Jesus tells us to judge with sound judgement. By your "do not judge" argument, no christian is ever able to say something is contrary to sound doctrine. II Tim 4:3 says-
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"
This is why these types of ministries are so popular. They teach a kind of religion which places no duties or demands on believers.
You say I'm free not to participate in JC. Thanks! But my concern is that they occupy a place of influence in American Christianity. Their music shapes theology; their emphasis is achieving a subjective, mystical experience.
I've seen this in other churches in different forms; it seems to produce people who are always looking for a new experience. If we don't carefully evaluate our experiences against an objective standard (the Bible), there is a danger of being mislead by"lying signs and wonders".
Consider Matt 24:24; I think this warning is for today, or sometime in the near future.
I really wish I could like Jesus Culture, many of my friends are fond of them. I've asked God many times to show me if my impressions are wrong.
