Great knife - I have the Redtail single blade liner-locking version and like it so much I got a Tidioute (beaver tail) as well. Appreciate your history lesson, I hadn't known that background stuff - makes me appreciate the knives even more. I call my #23LLs 'folding fixed blades' which of course is nonsense, but it's how they feel in hand.
Wow, just wow. Very nice! I may be stepping on tastes here but I would also like to see that in a deep red dye bone or maybe even a black...don't hate me. Keep them coming Paddy!
I have a GEC #23 trapper. I think it is the first GEC I bought? I traded it to my brother, and after many years he gave it back to me. He carried it edc, I think it a belt pouch. I it is a 2012 model, now with some ware, and still a gator snap. A knife like yours, only used! Very nicely made!
I have the same knife you have, It is a great tough knife for outdoor use , good for daily carry only if you have a leather belt sheath or EDC pouch. Too heavy for pocket carry but it is a great solid user knife .
Paddy you sir have such a great way of describing the knives you show on your channel! I'm fairly new to the channel but I've found a renewed curiosity in classic knives thanks to you my friend. Sincerely, thank you so much for the effort you put into your content! God bless and keep up the great work! 👌😊
Want to see GEC at its best, talking about big shield fitting and general perfection then have a look at a #86 black jack, the epitome of perfection in the TRUE form of a traditional slipjoint!!
My #23 bullet trapper is by far my favorite knife and actually got me into collecting the Remington bullet knives. Even though the fairly modern Camillus reproductions are imitation covers, the 1997 “Lumberjack” (cocobola) and the 1999 “Ranch Hand” (bone) are so well done, I’d suggest picking those up. If I hand blown through my knife budget for the foreseeable future on preorders, I’d definitely be picking up the new GEC baby trapper from SMKW. I’m sure it’s an exact match only smaller the the #23.
That's beautiful trapper I'll go as far as to say it's the most gorgeous model I've ever seen!! Ide love to get some gec's but I cannot find them anywhere or the price is crazy to me like ide never buy a traditional for 250$!! That seems crazy to me. But if people have funds like that I'm proud for you and hope you enjoy them but I cannot justify it. I'm going back and forth of I want to custom shop a mini griptillan or not ?? All I seen for regular stock is the all black ones now and that's lame to me. Ide get a two tone noen handle if I do go thru with it. Also the tanto blade. Just for kicks lol
Wow Paddy!! Thats a clasic killer lookin blade. Id really like to see it in switchblade form. It classy look would go well as a auto. Killer vid knife bro!!
It looks a lot like the knife Pete showed (jerseyknifeguy) with the bullet shield but his didn't have the un-X-ld on the shield and on the blade etch. Is it the same knife but higher standard or the same but another run?
One of my prized knives is an original Remington jack knife dating back to 1935-39. It's not a bullet knife. It's in excellent condition and belonged to my grandmother's brother. He was in the army air corps and died in a training accident during WW2.
As mentioned in the video, SMKW came out with a Remmington branded Baby Bullet Knife on 8/19. Made by GEC. $169 not bad price. Still in stock as of of 8/28. 🤔
Didn't realize it was that big Thanks for comparing the trapper. Paddy you have some of the most beautiful knives across the shock. @jersey knife guy and @warthogg are neck and neck over on this side. I love all the same
GECs are wonderful I'm a proud owner of one the 56 in stag.
Great video Paddy you never fail. 👍
That is a nice big GEC.
Sweet 😎🐸👍.
I love big knives and that one is a corker Paddy
Beautiful knife.. It sure is big.. 👍
Great video Paddy. I’ve been wanting to see these size comparisons for a while. Absolutely beautiful knives! Thanks for the show! 👍🤙
As the vet said when she first saw our cat, "ooh, that's a whopper". Don't you be dropping that one on your foot, Paddy. :-)
Great history lesson pad ..most enjoyable ..loved it ...
I love chunky slipjoints, and this is chunky! Have you seen my Winchester?

I have about 15 of the bullet knives from various years. This is a beauty, but too rich for my blood.
Wow congratulations on a beautiful knife I'm jealous.

That's a real grail you've got there, buddy. Thanks for the look at it!
Thanks for sharing Paddy
Absolutely cracking pocket knifes
I've one of the new Remington baby bullet knives, and it's up there with the best of my GECs. Definitely never parting with it. All the best!
I've really enjoyed your video. Thanks so much!

Great information in this video, lovely knife.
Absolutely exceptional knife, it is huge for a slip joint and beautiful quality, it is hard to beat GEC for consistent quality builds.

I got that new baby bullet by Remington/GEC. The quality is unreal. A nice pocketable size too. I think you'd love it. Cheers from Canada!

Thanks paddy!!!!!

It’s the same knife as the new Remington knife!!!! Interesting 🤨
Just bigger I believe, 4 1/2 ins closed.
Where do you get your GEC knives from Paddy?
Knives ship free has the baby bullet still available. I just refuse to pay 169 dollars for it.
It's almost too pretty to use. I was able to get a GEC little pony in cocobolo. I like just looking at it. They are like works of art.

It doesn't have the lanyard hole/tube in the rear of the handle .
