So my friends another week has passed and I hope things are starting to pick up in your part of the world. Again I hope you can keep your mind off of the worlds problems for a few minutes while you tune out and watch this video which I hope you can enjoy and just remember do not try this at home but if you feel the need to do so be sure to email me on the email in the description And I will send you a 5% discount link to a devil forge furnace and also if you like the rings there is a link in the description as well , have a happy safe week my friends I wish you all the best and I will see you next Friday 👌🏻😷👊🏻
Yes, thank you very much to @BigStackD for helping Keep what's left of my sanity. Keep in mind that the stuff you hear on other channels is also the stuff with a 'free to use' licence agreement. It's not inherently bad, but you hear it EVERY VIDEO ON REPEAT.
I know you like them on the shelf for display, but I would be seriously tempted to make a pirate chest to put those "coins" in! Excellent work, as always. Cheers from Canada!
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 aint too hard to DIY. just need an old pallet, the wood already has that worn out look to it, he can pour his own banding or use the banding from a barrel and just reshape it a tad
Loved the coins. That Nordic Gold is so beautiful, but getting to see the blue/green glow from the copper always looks incredible. As always, little Ingot is a show stealer. That determined look in his face always reminds me that he takes his job seriously. Thanks so much for sharing, being forced to stay home is tough, but you bring light into the darkness. 👍👍👍
When it comes to what type of melt I enjoy watching the most, I think slag and dust melts are my favorite. The mix of slag and dust melts down so easily and you get even less waste on the other end. From a commercial standpoint, you could easily sell those coins for 5 USD a piece. I was just at the Plimoth Pilgrim Plantation in Massachsetts, and they were selling tiny metal "pieces of eight" for 2 USD a piece. The fact that the material would otherwise only be about 18 USD by weight shows what people are willing to pay for quality trinkets.
Still waiting for the day you add ONE more coin to the shelf and the entire thing collapses. Thanks for the video's. You really make me think, this would be an enjoyable hobby.
Ah minting your own currency for the covid 19 apocalypse i see. Sir that will be at least 2 copper big stacks for this roll of toilet paper and not a bit less
Love watching the process...an artist for sure. I really enjoy the oddly satisfying ice melt and the clinking sound of the pirate booty! Thanks for this video!
Great job bigstackD, love your work. Your alloy melts are always really awesome, watching different metals combine to create something new, so cool. You've inspired and educated me in the art of casting and I'm hoping to attempt my first casting, (hopefully aluminium bronze), with the knowledge I've gained from your content. I've followed your channel for a bit over a year now, and have thoroughly enjoyed all videos. I have been thrilled to watch your channel grow and I can't wait for you to hit the 500k sub mark and beyond. This channel has some of the best DIY content, having someone who casts for a hobby, but produces professional grade ingots, amazing! If you see my comment, could you please make a video about casting an ingot that's composed of the same metals as the Australlian gold coins (92% copper 6% aluminium 2% nickel). This would be really cool to watch as an Aussie, and it would be your second currency ingot after Nordic gold. Thank you, and keep up the great work!👍😀
You really are lucky that you get to do this as your channel. I’ve been wanting to get my own crucible and furnace and melt stuff down, and cast something for years. And still haven’t had the chance. But that’s why I love your channel, and channels just like it.
we purchased a devil furnace not to long ago and have so far only used it for melting brass, lead from bullets and some gold other wise i gotta say that this furnace is probably the best full size furnace you can get.
TFI Friday !!!! It's melting time !!! Brilliantly interesting ................. as always. After a looooong day of machining Brass and Titanium it's kinda therapeutic to sit and watch metal being melted. Looking forward to the new furnace too. Keep up the excellent melting bigstackD.
Been watching your channel on and off since the beginning of 2020, and I've been fascinated with Nordic Gold ever since stumbling onto your videos on the topic. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anyone online that sells it as anything other than commemorative coinage. Even checked Ebay, only to come across another unique copper based alloy sold in bullion form called German Silver. If you'd ever decide to cast your metal treasure trove down into smaller commemorative ingots to sell to your fans, I'd certainly consider buying a small ingot of Nordic Gold from you as a decorative conversation starter.
Wanted to give a shout out to how clean you keep your work area because its the sort of thing you only notice when it gets filthy. Thanks for the melt videos and congrats on 800 lbs.
I won't lie, man. Yours are not the sort of videos I usually get into. But you're the exception to this.I think it's the whole idea of almsot creating something beautiful and worth something out of "nothing." Good stuff.
@Chris Clifford Exactly,is it really hoarding if he is collecting metals that he can sell at any point? That would be like calling someone who has silver a hoarder.
Hi Ingot, you precious thing 🧡🐾 Wonderful content, as always. Gorgeous colors. That shelf reinforcing video you spoke of should probably be next...🤞 Hope you and the fam are well and staying safe. Much love!
Man, I'd love to have a bunch of those skull bars and coins for my 8 year old son's "treasure chest". Doesn't matter what kind of metal. Aluminium, copper, nordic gold, brass, even a mix of them. I'd pay very well for them too. :)
You could definitely look up "Real gold pirate coins" on ebay/amazon/etsy & get some with very similar designs, I dont think this channel sells his metal because he's a collector looking to reach a goal of 1Ton of metal weight on his shelves at the end of the video. Good luck though cheers for being a good dad!
Thank you for helping my transformation into Golem. Since receiving my Devil Forge using your code (thx again) I have been hoarding the precious. People can look but no touching the precious.
Rahan Miah they have but they have never said anything and they probably think that’s a smart move as when you’re dancing around a furnace wearing a clown mask in the middle of the night it’s probably someone you don’t want to approach🤔
I clicked as soon as I got the notification at 3 AM in Minnesota. People ask me why do I stay up so late on Thursdays I showed them the videos and say this is why.
You really ought to get a tumbler or vibrator. You fill them up with steel shot of different shapes and a soapy fluid, toss in the things that need polishing/cleaning up, turn it on and let it go. They work really well. Jewellers use them.
Jewelers don't use anything with steel shot in it. All precious metals are softer than steel. Putting rings and such in a steel shot tumbler would mangle them. Jewelers use sonic cleaners, buffing wheels, and steam jets.
Nice batch of coins pulled from the waste of creation, I can say that the nordic gold coins look so awesome. The ones I made looked so good. Thanks for another awesome Video, Stay safe my friend.

The video proved to have all of the classic things I always watch for from you. I caught the quick bit of humor, the rebel in you that always smashes the ice, your skills/craftsmanship and your sweet little boy Ingot.
