I love this 3D pumpkin using the sweater. Gorgeous. For those who can't find the pumpkin frames, I couldn't either. Si, after searching several stores I gave up but found them on line at Dollar Tree. Had to order 24 but I'll have them for years to come plus I plan to get together with my four sisters and each will make one. They are beautiful covered in many different textures & colors.
I think it’s perfect too! Would have never thought to do this. Great idea! When I go to thrift stores, I look for things that I can remake with the flowers, object that things have things in them, odd glass wear and sometimes clothes! Now, with your idea, I will look for more of the clothes just for things like this! Great job!

You could gather the top part of your sweater with just an in and out stitch ( a running stitch ) with a needle and thread and your gathers would be very even spaced..just a thought 😉 love your projects ..I make lots of different pumpkins for fall ,too...

Thank you for sharing---it's really pretty. We have a lot of these and the witches hats and now the footballs. I have all the pumpkins and witch hats from last year, I bought a lot, but now I have the footballs. I want to do something other than a football with them. One lady did a lemon--lol. It was really cute. I am going to do one of these with a sweater, I never thought of that---again thank you for sharing.

Was thinking for the top you could do a hand gathering stitch and pull it like a purse string. Then glue.

you could always use 4 frames & put 2nd ones on top of the material so you have the black bars/frame over the fabric.

I agree. The white in the ribbon doesnt blend and the black is too harsh. A softer, neutral ribbon and a pale sunflower or mum flower would be ideal.
