    i play pirc for quite a long time but i find yours better than the conventional opening. It mostly opens the diagonal for the bishop which is the dream for pirc players. It also opens the c file as well . This is really the improved Pirc. Thanks a lot Kaspa . You Rock.

    "Time to hurt each other's feelings." Another great line from Masta Kaspa. Very instructive video. Listening to Kaspa's thought process move-by-move is highly beneficial. I do not always see the complex combinations like Masta Kaspa did in the endgame, but I can always hope.

    Hi,
    after 3. c3 we have a transposition to the Alapin (1. e4 c5 2. c3 d6 3. d4). Your suggestion of cxd4 is not very convincing, because White can now play Sc3. Normal is 3....Sf6 4. Bd3. However, White is better according to theory. Any thoughts?

    We can also play a Dragon while we avoid all the Antisicilians.

      @@kaspachessofficial Yes, with your setup, g6, Bg7, early c5, d6, Qa5 touching c3, Rac8, etc it is a Dragon pattern. But we avoid studying all the antisicilians.

    I believe you imply this setup is playable, but not recommended against 1.e4? Is there an easy way to summarize its disadvantages or contrast it to 1.d4 games? I notice there are players who play Pirc against everything.

    • @kaspachessofficial
      @kaspachessofficial  4 місяці тому

      No, I didn't say that this setup is not recommended against 1. e4. If anything, I endorsed it somewhere here: 06:41. Everyone should give it a try. In my opinion, I think it's better than the Pirc. It's also played by Super grandmasters and I haven't spotted any serious disadvantages so far.

      Yes, my misunderstanding based on your recent vids showcasing this against 1.d4. Btw, love how you cue us with pattern recognition when positions are seen in other openings (e.g., Sicilian, Benko). This helps us recall known tactics and game plans we've seen before. I haven't been through all your 1.e4 course, but I hope to see more this style of content in future vids. Great work coach!

    You didnt include the most played reply to 1…d6 in my rating range which is.l 2. E4. What is the plan for that here?
