- After many many months, the Brushless X-Rider Flamingo is Ready! This Piaggio APE Car is Brutal, and so much fun! Now running an ALL Metal Drivetrain, it's pretty unstoppable! The weak spot on the original is the bevel gear/diff. But now with a metal one, this RC Trike is Awesome!

It's surprising how stable it is with 3 wheels and that wheelbase.
Yes, handles very well for a 3 wheeler... well, if it didn't have the metal 'bash' bar it wouldn't lol

Wheelbase is unfortunately too short to drift. Bet you could get it sideways with a drift tire up front, but then it would be like driving on ice🤣. Looks like a lot of fun.

hello tomley, would you have made a disassembly video to change the original motor and original variator, if not I think it would be necessary to do one to show what it is necessary to disassemble the fastest to reach the motor and variator compartment thank you for your answer

How can I change my back wheels?
The flamingo wheels are something I never seen before it's round with a pen I like to change it to hex so I can have other options for wheels.
Hi great video.... 😃.. I'm doing the same conversion did you have to mod the holes in the motor mount to fit the motor in video description? Also did you have to make the hole in the pinion bigger as the stock one is to small..... I've ordered the metal pinion and spur.... Did the metal pinion fit the new motor?

@@TomleyRC is the stock receiver and speed controller aio...... Can you just replace the receiver with a dumbo rc gyro one? There only seems to be one connection on the stock esc receiver... When I pull it out the steering stops working... Do I have to replace the esc to use a different receiver?... Great video 😎
Fun and enjoyable video as always. I'll admit I wasn't sure if I liked or hated the look of it but seeing it brushless and flying around I'm starting to like it a little more,lol. I like the scale motor detail,looks really good as well. I gotta ask,did I see just the OG Tamiya hilux cab on the top of your shelf at the beginning of your video? Are you restoring the chassis or something?
Good Spot Jon. I recorded some running footage yesterday of the Hilux. Hopefully have a video up by the end of the week. Body was off as I was sorting the electronics 👍
