Hey Paige- I just made window coverings very much like this for our Class A. I didn't use insulation like yours, but I did sew reflectix-type insulation inside the fabric panels. Like you, I segmented them so that we could open them either partially or completely. I simply connected them at the top of the window with heavy duty velcro and placed a strip of fabric with velcro on it to secure the covering up if we didn't want it down. I don't know if it makes a difference with the insulation you are using, but reflectix insulates better if there's an air gap between the reflectix and the window. We live in Florida, and I used them last weekend when we took our camper out and holy SHIT! What a difference it made in reducing the interior temperature. I think I'm actually going to do the same for our windshield cover, but that's one big ass sewing project! Keep up the great work!

I think if I were to do it again I’d use a thinner insulation than the havloc because they are kind of heavy. We ended up screwing the ones that can stay permanently to the tops of the wooden window frames. Going with magnets on the metal doors where they need to be able to be removed all the way. Made some cool straps to keep them rolled up when we want them open. Definitely a fun sewing challenge!

There certainly is a lot to consider when doing a build like this. You did good to plan for future additions, ie solar, shore power etc. Really enjoyed this series. Cant wait to see what happens on the road!
