Creed in their prime was untouchable.
Scott stapp in his prime was unbearable.
@@bodbn He wasn't unbearable to any woman I've every known. One hell of a voice.
That tone on Mark's guitar is brutal..
19:48 “Should’ve been dead on a Sunday morning, banging my head!” Such a hard hitting chorus. That crowd at the front was feelin’ it.
Good shit. As a metalhead, I’m not afraid to say I’ve always loved Creed, always will.
Metal head too, Tremonti can shred dude.
🤘🤘
you've got good taste in music my friend.
Me too. Creed is amazing!
Me too bro they way they would alter there songs live was awesome too like here say I was using that solo that was cut from the album same when bound and tied had that filter effect at the end
This voice is unbeatable! Fukkin out of this world!
Say what you want about Creed but they sound amazing live, that shows true talent.
Yes they do
Regardless of what anyone says, Stapp could really belt it out. Great singer.
To me he has one greatest pure power belts. The baritone grunt i call it. But nobody sounds so clean like young stapp did.
Scott's voice is so on point the whole time it's amazing... and Mark... man Mark is simply incredible... Brian and Phillips also on point... love the agression in this performance..
Sounds pretty flat and out of key.
@@styrenebuilds6851about like your mom blowing sloppy tubes on my meat whistle
Creed was awesome in their prime loved Mark's aggressive guitar sounds
What an awesome voice.

Creed is back together and touring in 2024, I got my tickets 🎟️ go get your’s! Can’t wait🙌🙌🙌🥰🎶🤟
Well see them for the 6th time in Charlotte
@@sizemok1 Awesome 🙌have a phenomenal time🎶🤟
Its weird to remember Creed before memes and the excess. That first album was crazy good and came out of nowhere. Could say the same about the first Nickelback album.
Nickleback’s first record is definitely underrated it’s when they sounded grunge as hell
NOTHING comes out of nowhere...what a stupid thing to say...
This concert their playing songs from the second album human clay as well. All the albums I thought hit the spot growing up, and still do today. All 4 albums I have for years, some since the beginning, 97. I skip the ballads that got played on radio, but I can still go back to them and enjoy them from time to time. Nickelback as well. I don’t follow the nickelback band wagon anymore then the creed. Nickelback had good 90’s albums as well. Then you kinda haft to pick through the newer ones to pick out the heavy songs, cuz they started changing up with more genres for more radio play and exposure. Even though I don’t get into the pop ballads, I want knock on them for writing them, and the nickelback fans who happened to really like and enjoy them all. I just prefer my heavier, raunchier nickelback sound.
I hope Scott has saved some of those pipes for 24 tour!! Can’t believe it, Creed is back!!
Can confirm, he absolutely has. I went to the Creed show in Charlotte on 7/24 and Stapp has power left in his voice! Say I was awesome as was What If. The entire set was awesome, but specifically those 2 songs where he has to belt it out, he did amazing on those songs!
This is unbelievable!! First time to ever see this performance.. its almost a religious experience

That is funny and awesome!
We can thank Mark Tremonti for that
Creed is my eternal love... beautiful 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤... Scott stapp is amazing 😍
More creed video in 1997 - 2000 please!
So many creed haters out there, who follow the hate trend and jump on the band wagon, cuz they think this band was just a couple rock ballads they heard on the radio. I wish they just look up one of their earlier live shows and watch them jam. Hell, just listen to a damn album without judging. Got their my own prison album in 97 when I was only 10, still a creed fan to this day.
I have to fight off the Creed haters all the time man. Thankfully my dad and uncle got me and my brothers down the right path when we were young. Love Creed.
I feel all the hate they got was a blessing and a curse at the same time. A blessing cos it pushed them to give it their all and prove them wrong. For example by writing songs like "Bullets" which is a banger. A curse cos I always wondered what would have happened to Scott Stapp if he didn't get so much hate. It's one of those "What if"
@@mikec2197 I can totally relate.. not so much anymore but back in 98, 99 sophomore and senior years in high-school was a constant source of conflict in my life 😂. Like I didn't have enough already..
Well said brother
@@mikec2197 Really surprised they have haters, in Poland every rock fan call them a legend
Best version of "Say I" ever!
Say I kicks ass!! So does Beautiful! Man they’ve got so many good songs
What a rare and amazing footage! Thanks for posting it. And please, post more Creed! :)
Wow thank u more creed please much love
This is the show they used "Fuels" gear because their trailer got stolen! Amazing how great they sounded
Wow I remember that story from years ago and didn’t recognize marks guitar. Thank you for this info!!
Great piece of musical history. Only makes this performance that much more epic
Fuel was no joke back then... Still love them and Brett
Wow, interesant fact. Thank for sharing.
Wow thanks for sharing that, I had forgotten about it but never knew they used fuels instruments 🤟🏼
The best band!
Interviewed Mark Tremonti awhile back. Couldn’t have been nicer
He really is. I've done one of his guitar clinics and he is seriously humble. He let us check out his rig and play a couple of his guitars.
I’ve never seen this old footage but I love ❤️ it and I will always love Creed! I have nothing but love for ever member of Creed, they rock🥰🤟Thank you for sharing!
Creed was the best rock band of the 90s
BUSH was number 1 Creed was number 2
Agreed
@@NicholasSpeaks no way! Creed over bush any day!!! But you’re forgetting Alice In Chains and STP
No
@@WhyDoIKeepFuckinUp yes
I saw Creed five times three of them front row! They always had general admission standing in the front and I’d arrive at the gate b4 the roosters and stand all day waiting for the gate to open then run like hell to get to the front! Unbelievable shows seeing them that close. Thanks for uploading this, it brings back good memories!
Mark Tremonti sounds awesome in this!
Wow!!!! Thanks for posting
Been listening to the first 2 albums again a lot lately. Thanks for this video.
Amazing!!! Thank you very much, this is an insane performance by the band !! Please upload more Creed videos!
This is the only live footage of Beautiful I’ve been able to find- and what a performance, he is so commanding, his eyes are so intense.. love
Listen to the album today driving around before i got home so I could hear the whole thing. Brings back memories. Thanks for the live stuff. 👍🏼
Rare to see! Thankyou ❤️
Man, my brains blowing up, this is just insane energy to handle.....CREED is the best band to ever live...
no there not...linkin park blows them away
but i did always love Creed..i'm just a huge fan of my boy Chester
@@jayunitedwestand1810 Linkin park? 🤣🤣 creeds songs don’t sound the same as the previous 30 songs. Linkin park were good but only because they reinvented a genre.
@@Bstonz85 not even on the same level..
@@jayunitedwestand1810 not even the same genre. Creed is post grunge. Linkin park is alternative rock/hip hop.
Waaoow men... I've never seen this before🔥 ¡¡What an energy Scott!!
I never saw them this early, but saw them in the early 2000's. Amazing show and awesome times back then.
thanks for this
Amazing! Thanks for posting! Looking forward to more Creed and Fuel concerts if there are more.
Creed and Fuel are some of my favorites too
Cant believe this was old mama kins. Fun rock club while it lasted. I had steven tyler standing in front of me the whole show for some other band. Shocked how short he was
Amazing
Fuk i thought i already saw all of creed video in yt!
Scott's energy was lava hot in 97. Every bit as good as Chris Cornell.
I’m a big Creed fan and love Stapp’s voice. His live vocals sound likeit does on the albums. Creed is an underrated and unfairly hated band. I would not put him on Cornell’s level though. Chris Cornell was an unmatched talent.
Good grief these guys are kicking so much a-ss!
Wtf is wrong with people who dont like them?
These guys are awesome.
I think those that don't like Creed are just jealous or don''t like rock music
Wow they were already playing songs from Human Clay by 1997. Thx for sharing. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱 . I missed their show when they visited my country. I still regret about that 😖😖😖
This is when I saw Creed with My BF Toni in Baltimore & DC Yes twice back to back. Mark, wow, no words!!!!! You had to be there! He did all kinds of special Riffs & mesmerized me & still does! Tremonti Rocks, Alterbridge, Creed. Amazing performers who hold their own & all together! Rock On 🎸🎤🥁
I saw them at the MCI Center in DC front row against the barrier at the stage! Best damn concert I’ve ever seen in my life! Tantric opened for them 🤟🏼🤟🏼. And just got tickets in the pit for 2024! Frigging stoked
Nice Hope you enjoy every moment. Wish I could go.
@@mindyweakley6078 Well I have a extra ticket so come on 😂.
Praying they get together one more time... They had the next album ready to go, just needed a little polishing, then the shat hit the fan.. in light of the current times.. the universe could use some Creed energy... Please please please guys, just one more tour... ☮️💙🤗
Yep I agree just one more time while Scott’s voice sounds good! Dammit y’all get ya shit together and give us Creed fans one more tour, you owe us that much!!
You got your wish bro! 2024 tour!! I got my tickets for the pit already for next Sept! 🤟🏼
Amazing as always my favorite
Fuck!! this guys where so much better live than studio, thankx a LOT for the upload OP
Fenomenal vocalist, fenomenal band , Woodstock 99 incredibol Energy 🤟✌️
Just came from the 2024 video to see the contrast and people deaging 27 years lol
Internet is wild
14:40. That was my goal. I was going to wake up with pearly whites, a mane, a hairy chest and powerful voice that the world would hear. Wish mom and dad would’ve told me the odds of becoming Scott Stapp were quite slim......
I think this was same week they were shooting my own prison video
Muito obrigado❤
When WAAF was on their game RIP 1970-2020.
i live in the bay area now, but i cut my teeth on AAF back in the 90s in worcester. cheers to ozone, rocko, opie and anthony, mistress carrie, hillman morning show, and the rest of the crew. turned me onto creed, life of agony, days of the new, sevendust, coal chamber, and many others. check out creed live at woodstock 99 for a great set!
hoily fuck that was intense...Stapp and Scott...brilliant
Fantástico. A potência da voz do Scott eh show
Top d+...
Banda da minha adolescência
Incredible band.
Obrigado✌✌
More creed videos please
I saw finger 11 fuel creed in philly 1998. All three were great
GotStones1 Finger 11 during that era was awesome live
Amo Scott
Powerful!
awesome concert
Can anyone realize theres some difference in this version of Beautiful ?
Something I just noticed for people in 2024. 3:04 Tremonti plays a rift that eventually goes into his own Tremonti album "You Waste Your Time".. Kinda crazy. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not
People had no appreciation for what they were witnessing 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Great!
Cheers 🍻
Who's going to Creed 2024 Summer of 99 Reunion Tour?
3:06 Holy shit Say I has an un used solo that is fuckn amazing!!
Sounds like a Slayer noodle. Killer
Is Scott wearing a silk top? My man. Also, these songs are not easy to perform live. Still haven't lost hope that you guys will return to Manila for a reunion tour.
wow they used to play human´s clay songs back then
damn I was there.. from sweden . good memories!
Check out my rig rundown video with Mark from the 2020 Alter Bridge tour. Dude is so humble and down to earth. Just stoked to be doing what he does.
As for the video, listen to how solid Scott Philips kit sounds, the kick cuts through perfectly.
Nice band
Stapp no auge 🤘
He does a good Eddie Vedder impression
Totalmente gospel, parabéns.
Chance of an Adema show with Bobby Reeves on vocals? There are some here on UA-cam, and one of them is incomplete ...
Is this really from 97? With beautiful and say I not being around till human Clay, I would think this would be after 99. But bands do write stuff all the time and save it for future albums, but both these songs are polished and almost exactly like the record version.
I miss WAAF
Good lord, Tremonti and that flanger are like Kirk and his wah.
How were they playing songs in 1997 that didn't come out until 2 years later on Human Clay?
Very good Sound... Do you guys know the Bootleg album The Human Clay Tour? Fucking awesome...
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Something kind of crazy to me, all these Creed fans miss this old sound...ever since Creed's like 2nd or 3rd album they always talked about how great old Creed was. Now Stapp is trying to get relevant again so idk why he doesn't try to get this old sound back. I know it would be difficult without Tremonti, but there are a lot of young aspiring guitarists out there and song writers...I'd just hold some sort of contest to find the closest thing to a young Tremonti. Tell the participants to try to make a song that would belong on Creed's 1st or 2nd album and pick the best one to join his little solo album band or w/e. The only way Stapp could get relevant again especially with how much rock has died out is by getting this old sound back. Sure he may not be able to do songs like "what if" anymore because of vocal decline with age, but a lot of their hits didn't have that grungy sound, like Torn, with arms wide open, and even the vocals from Higher could probably still be achieved. If I was Scott Stapp I'd be spending all my time since the whole mental breakdown thing trying to get this old sound back.
Any skillet gigs from 2003-2005 era?
Was this the concert where Creed's gear was stolen and they had to use Fuel's gear?
Wow! How did you know that?
theyre fuckin sick
Mama Kin’s, Aerosmith owns that place.
I don’t know why i expected good quality if it’s ‘97, lol
There were great live recordings before smart phones.
Ill donate to you
I talked smack too soon the video quality got better after the first song lol
Scott my beloved
Scott Stapp was never not lead singer of Creed. On the description it says different.
The perfect amount of aggression and melody, they should have stayed like this. Most rock bands that cover christian topics end up being super corny, this is a big exception
Is Mark playing Gibson Les Paul standard or copy?
For those interested I have their instudio in nov-97 from another fan louiebanal
