I love that you used Andouille sausage for those pig shots. Great idea adding some jalapeno to the cheese!!!! Those shots looked mighty fine and I'll have to give them a try sometime! Cheers to ya Darrin!!!!
Thanks Troy! The andouille sausage really added a nice element to flavor that kielbasa just doesn’t bring to the table! And the jalapeño was kind of a audible, I was thinking pig shots meets poppers! I look forward to seeing your rendition of them sometime! Cheers to you too brother, happy Friday! 🍻
I enjoy most smoking videos from folks who know what they're doing. You're videos are a bit different from some of the others. I like that. Little different way of doing things. I subscribed.
Probably one of the best recipes for smoking that I have yet enjoyed. Just one little thing that might make life easier - I used whipped cheese with chives. Worked like a charm. Thanks for a fantastic recipe.
Oh my goodness, these are amazing. I have never heard of these before, but you can believe I will be making them real soon. Thank you for the recipe....
I'm making these for the first time. About 30 of them. Love love love the grill pink. I have never used them before. Will see how they turn out. Totally forgot about using a makeshift piping bag.
I love this recipe! I made these pig shots earlier this summer and I used mostly sweet pepper and onions that were glazed in maple bbq sauce at the end - I think they came out great 👍 Next time I will make two batches - one sweet and the others will pack more heat. Thanks so much👊🏻👊🏻
I saw a few of your vids, they kept popping up and I love them so I'm subbed! you have some great creative ideas that I'd love to replicate as a "BBQ/Smoker" guy! Getting a pellet smoker a year ago got me into smoking/grilling/bbqing hard-core! love it!
Just found this and made them for a party last night, man what a hit they were! I found that one kalbos, one pack of bacon (cut pieces in half) makes 20 shots.
Thanks brother, I really appreciate that! Man, you gotta try them! They’re so dang good! And super easy once the prep is done! Thanks for watching, and for the comment! 🔥
Looks delicious! We're gonna try making them for thanksgiving this year! Best bacon ever right there! (Might be biased since my dad is the salesman for Minnesota Gold Meats 😊)
Finally got around to making me some shots tonight. I winged it...added shredded chicken, green chiles, red onion, chipotle garlic seasoning, franks redhot sauce (i use that shit on everything) to the cheese then drizzled with pineapple bbq sauce... man that was awesome
Buddy did these for a Chiefs game a few weeks ago. He used a gas grill, charred the bacon and they weren't good because of temp control. Pellet grill would be the way to go for these it seems. Yours look great
I Made some of your smoked shotgun shells for a party and divided them in to thirds and everyone loved them. Can’t wait to try your pig shots, but not a huge fan of jalapeño, any other suggestions for spiciness? Keep up the good work making me look good at barbecues!
Darrin, You're really putting a damper on my diet! These look delicious!! I'm going to fire up the grill early this year. Where can I find those grill pins? Great video as always.
Haha, sorry Mark! I mean depending on the rubs you use, they could technically be keto...so that's healthy ;-). I put a link to the Grill Pinz in the description just now! Thanks for reminding me!
Prepping these as I type. My wife bought Kielbasa instead of the recommended, its a little tougher to work with. Cooking them in a few hours, hopefully will be good!
This looks like a great recipe and I plan on trying it this weekend for a party. I see you have 9 at the end, is that the total yield for the measurements as you listed them? Just trying to gauge numbers for my trip to the market. Thanks!
I made pig shots 3 times so far. Amazing but sometimes the bacon is hard to deal with thick cut helped out I think but yea flimsy and hard to wrap some haha. But taste so good once I got it all set up
Hey there! Just watched this vid and the Shotgun Shells vid...both amazing! Just as a heads up, there is no "L" sound in andouille. It is pronounced an- DOO- ee. Keep up the vids!
@@AshKickinBBQ Lol..its all good. As a chef myself...I gotta tell ya those Shotgun Shells look amazing. I have made pig shots before, very similiar to yours, but never the Shotgun Shells. Again, keep up the great vids! God bless!
I couldn't control the attitude of the bacon even after it was in the freezer for a little bit of time. I quit after making three LOL if you make me a batch I'll pay you and for shipping loo
It was alot of work but I had 3 people working on them. Plus I made 50 armadillo eggs and 50 shotgun shells, 2 12lb pork butts, smoked baked beans & smoked mac and cheese. That's what I made other people brought some other side dishes too.

What if you want to put these in the oven . What temp would you use, and how long
It’s the same temp and guidelines for an oven.
On mine I spared a tad of the filling so I could press another (thinner) andouille disc on top of the shot glass :) Otherwise I followed your recipe
I wanna try this so bad 😰
Do it up!
I wonder how well a small melon scoop would work?
Good idea!
Any substitute for the cream cheese?
None that I’d recommend. Maybe ricotta? Cream cheese kinda makes it.
