Overlanding Adventure in Southern California - Jawbone Canyon to Piute Mountain Road

I recently got to explore Jawbone Canyon to Priuses Mountain Road. It’s an easy off-road trail, great for beginners and/or families. It’s a little over 2 hours from Orange County, just south of Lake Isabella. Normally if I want to get away into the mountains I’ll head to Big Bear or Black Mountain, it was nice exploring somewhere new that was roughly the same distance from Orange County.

Is 4WD needed?

Not for this trail. Just have decent tires and some clearance. The switch backs get tight so I wouldn’t recommend a trailer
