I actually think the gen 6 base stat change should have given the boost to her spAtk and not boost her Atk. I think that would have kept her in UU for gen 7
Unusual and worthwhile notes of interest on the 4th gen natural move pool for Nidoqueen's evolution line: Unless you grind to stupid high levels as Nidoran and Nidorina, you actually can't get any solid Poison moves outside Poison Sting and Toxic Spikes. Poison Fang takes level 45 as Nidoran and level 58 for Poison Fang on Nidorina. Nidoqueen herself actually loses access to almost every move it's pre evolutions have when fully evolved. And short of TMs below and whatever you can get from Tutors, her actual move pool is heavily neutered (not unlike her odd state of sterility, but I don't ever breed much if at all) and has NO Poison moves for actual offense. And all this does not counting getting Sludge Bomb and Poison Jab from TMs. Why did Gamefreak not actually deal Nidoqueen anything actually worthwhile for a STAB outside busting your butt for TMs and/or massive grinding? Breeding doesn't fix this issue and even if you are careful about keeping certain moves, you forget them and there's no getting them back. Nidoqueen's line really did not get a fair deal in 4th gen. I'm surprised people could make it work.

I run nidoqueen in gen 2 ou. I use an underused attract set. I pretty much use her to either force switches from Pokémon that want to setup, or get rid of jolteons, zapdos, and the occasional magneton
I loved my Modest/Sheer Force/Life Orb Nidoqueen in Doubles last year. I'd finally add an old personal favourite to my M-Gardevoir Trick Room team. Damn Queen ended up sweeping almost everything that came before her. (Even before Trick Room was even down and in play. :'D)
Nidoqueen pairs great with smackdown and earthquake. The underused move of smackdown is good against surprising opponents who think they're safe from a ground typer. Smack downs 100 percent accuracy is unusual for a rock type move. This move counters moltres, arcticuno, talonflame, charizard Y and thunderus/ Zapdos to lead up to an earthquake
In Nintendo cup 1997 the first ever competitive format there was an interesting way you could use Nidoqueen effectively. The format was bring 6 pokemon, pick 3 while the total combined levels of your pokemon could not exceed 155. This means your pokemon were lv50 with 5 levels to dish out in team building. This added several layers of depth to the game. You could have multiple lv55 pokemon on your team as long as you only brought 1 into battle along with two lv50 pokemon (lv53 lv52 lv50 etc etc). Nidoking was a rather great pokemon to invest levels in as your "Ace" so to speak. At lv55 it was actually Faster then Jynx (The best pokemon in the format) and could threaten it hard with Earthquake. Nintendo cup was also played on Japanese cartridges which meant Blizzard had a 30% chance to freeze the opponent. This meant that Nidoking's ability to hit Exeggutor with it looking to wall it's Earthquake was even BETTER then in OU. Lastly OHKO moves and double team were both allowed which meant Nidoking could set up for free against common electric types, and potentially get free KOs on anything slower then it although it threatened most things slower then it anyway with Earthquake, Blizzard, and Thunder. Now here's where Nidoqueen comes in handy... due to the pick 3 nature of your team it meant you often had "free slots" you could afford to fill with more specific options that would be a lot more useful given that you weren't forced to rely on them every game and there was team preview (like Having Ninetails on your team and only choosing it when you see both a Jynx, and an Exeggutor on your opponent's team) anyway lv55 Nidoking had plenty of weaknesses so there would often be situations where you'd rather bring one of your different lv55 pokemon like Ace Jolteon, or Ace Starmie etc etc... But at the same time then you'd be locked out of using your ground type because the levels would be too much. Well if you really needed a ground type still that's where your lv50 Nidoqueen would come in. It would function just like Nidoking with it's speed still being good enough at lv50 to outpace Exeggutor, and Cloyster etc, and in fact it could potentially also come in a pinch tanking a super effective Psychic or Blizzard by the skin of it's teeth. Anyway having a lv55 Nidoking and a lv50 Nidoqueen was a FANTASTIC way to use Nidoqueen and a clever way to use your extra team slots to have your cake and eat it too so to speak regarding your level conservative and team building!

This is interesting, seems like Nidoqueen covers a really specific set of niches pretty well, and on the right team can be deadly. I'm going to make my UA-cam channel one of these days, just to be thee most brash person on this planet, because I'm sick of the eggshell pussyfooting everyone can't seem to stop!
I dont know about Nidoqueen but Nidoking is busted af. I played through Leafgreen just with him. He can do anything, Water, Ground, Electro, Fire and he is so tanky
I know you’ve done some eeveelutions, but could you do just regular Eevee? Everyone please vote Eevee in. He’s my favorite and I know he’s not an Uber tier poke; but when I run my Eevee with Adamant Nature, Evolite, quick attack, last resort, bite, and protect, I manage to find some fun moments where he is surprising powerful. Anyway, whether you do one on Eevee or not I hope you enjoy the comment. Your videos are great and I love listening to all your Pokémon content. 👍🏻
Also, I use adaptability as his ability to increase the amazing power of last resort.
This is interesting, seems like Nidoqueen covers a really specific set of niches pretty well, and on the right team can be deadly. Basically it needs good team support to work, but with the right team, it works as well as anything.
Cool video, will have to think about using Nidoqueen sometime. It hits a nice sweet spot of offense and defense to be a threat in the right situation.
How good was AVENGERS ENDGAME _actually?_
To briefly summarize: it was FUCKING AWESOME!!!
Hope Shiftry doesn't end up waiting as long as Nidoqueen did. Well, Shiftry will get its chance another day. They all do.
I want Moonlight Nidoqueen in SWSH.
The time of the Nidos will come again. For this is the way
I'm just making sure Toxapex is save for 2030. So: How GOOD was Toxapex ACTUALLY?
Actual cancer
this is a joke right?
@@curtisbreillat666 No absolutely not
Curtis Breillat couldn’t be more fucikng serious
No gen 7 that isn’t a alola form has been done so.. I don’t know maybe he’s waiting for more than just one gen review with a couple of vgcs
I figured that bulk would come into play later on. Good to know despite similarities, Nidoqueen is it's own Pokemon.
How good was Manectric next please.
If Nidoqueen/Nidoking get armored forms in Sword and Shield, Nidoqueen would dominate. If Nidoqueen had just a bit more bulk and moonlight like it got in Gen 2, it would be a premier wall with the likes of Skarmory and Chansey.
How did I not think of Nidoqueen or King for my vgc 2018 team it would have fit perfectly in that one slot I kept changing
Maybe it’s not your thing but maybe could you also do a tcg section on each Pokémon
Actually glad both Nidoking and Nidoqueen are pretty decent and consistent throughout the power creeping generations.
How good was *CRAWDAUNT* actually?
Boi wait for the tab
@@purpleheartneptune6267 I'm just dropping ine because why not
we need mega nidoqueen
I really wish that the Nidos got some stat improvement. I love Sheer Force Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Shame that they weren't Staples.
How good was ARCEUS actually? I wanna see more ubers
Ah this reminds me when i caught a shiny nidoking in fire red and then traded it to my friend for all three hoenn starters
Why do you have to post videos very early in the morning? 12:33 am in my time zone and it's night.
Love the vids!
For every like a Pokémon gets a buff
How I'd buff nidoqueen
1.HP90
I wish I could get a How Good was Tropius actually, someday
Not good. It was not good. Ever.
We can hope....
@@Lumix_Corrupt Even so, I would like to see how it performed. Also, there are some Pokémon that can surprise you
Nothing surprising about a pokemon that’s never been higher than NU lol
@@Lumix_Corrupt My Tropius desagrees, at least in VGC
Happy mothers day n a mother pokemon for the day. Well done fsg. Can i pelliper next?
Nidoqueen: Has chest patterns that resemble breasts
Furries: It's free real estate
Also, happy Mother's Day Nidoqueen! You may not be able to breed, but that's fine!
How GOOD can I subvert your expectations with this question ACTUALLY?
I'd like to see How Good Was Ursaring one day ^^
Really late squad (づ‸↼")
How GOOD was FSG at avoiding the Primals ACTUALLY?
How Good was Raticate actually ??🐀🐀
The height of it's usage was in Gen 7, when it became almost useful in PU (but not really).
Fun Fact, for those who will attend the Japan Championship this year, a Nidoqueen based on the one used by Kael in 2018 will be available to be downloaded.
At least that's what I've saw on Serebii while cheking when is the International Challenge for shiny Tapu Fini D:
40th
The earliest I've ever been to an FSG video.
I said this last time you mentioned me, my name is pronounced like the river Nile, not "Nee-all"
If we're gonna do that...
*How GOOD was Nidoking ACTUALLY?*
*I WILL NEVER GIVE UP*
nidoking is done
Already done.
That was over a year ago
It has been done, give up
