a builder repointed my paving using sand and cement, it left a white coating all over my paving, when it rains it disappears but when dry comes back, will this crete wash work on that - UK based
Can this product be used to remove excess dark mortar on a section of sidewalk that was poured just prior to a few days of rain which caused the cement to rise to the top and darkened it so that the color of the surface is to dark
Hello Don, if the pavers are made from concrete (which they mostly are) then yes, it could damage them. Cretewash is designed to soften and dissolve dried concrete - it could therefore take some of the surface off your pavers. I hope this helps... Kind Regards!
I’ve previously used a concrete cleaner and although it worked, there was like a rotten egg smell when it was reacting with the concrete. Does this smell at all?
The rotten egg smell is due to the acid in your concrete cleaner using sulfuric acid. If the concrete cleaner containes hydrocloric or hydroflouric acid, you won't get the smell.
Hello, it can be used on a painted surface, but this is a product that is designed to dissolve dried concrete - so if the exterior wall is made from concrete, you will need to be careful as it will possibly damage the surface. However, if the exterior is made from timber or metal - you will be safe to use Crete-Wash
