Most of the youtubers don't tell you the benefits of spirituality but you did and that's really awesome. Personally I don't do meditation but I do worship/puja on a regular basis and that's what keep me going everyday. But from tomorrow will add 10 min meditation to see how it'll improve my concentration :)

I’m glad he’s articulated this so well! But let’s not forget: no matter how hard we work, at the end of the day, we’re still employees. It’s crucial to split our efforts-half on the job and half on building a secondary source of income. Be more financially savvy than just tech-savvy. After all, money might not buy happiness, but it certainly buys freedom

Devops is hard.. I am an Infra eng guy(Linux+bash+ansible+vmware+checkmk) the depth of the technologies are vast and huge and on top of it every year there are advances in these technologies and it takes time to upgrade your knowledge .I tried learning containers , kuberneties and cloud but my mental stamina is not there..khatam hogaya mera!!

    • @savinderpuri

      hahaha... I understand!
focus on how you can build on your existing knowledge - go from VMWare to cloud architecture. Become awesome at ansible and then move to terraform. Understand containers later.

@savinderpuri Information is more important than either focusing on robotic voice. However, we can not cover everything in one video. Guidelines for practical experience or examples cover in another video. The objective of these videos is that people should know what AI can do or people can do so that they are not scared of AI or job loss.

Savinder Puri Thanks for sharing insights. I saw people go after heavy tools in DevOps and Cloud and forget to learn the fundamentals. As you said in your video I advice everyone to do the fundamental as that's the starting point . Since I was learning basics from the beginning of my career by learning Unix Linux, Writing shell scripting, learning networking basic apart from my regular night job. I choose DevOps and Cloud. So actually if your basics are strong you can learn any tool in DevOps. One more thing practice is very important, Identify your end to end use case and build it and publish it in public.

After going through the video I was energized and excited and immediately after watching your video I have jotted down my 2024-25 Roadmap considering all your points and based on my current scenario where I already work in the Platform and DevOps space for the past couple of years.

After watching this video, I am just adding a few cents. I have never commented on any UA-cam video since started watching youtube but believe me this is my first comment on any UA-cam video.
Such a crisp video with an extraction of your two decades of experience and the topping was a message about meditation or spirituality. Irrespective of your work or domain, spirituality acts as a catalyst on overall personality development.

By far, one of the best videos. I'm transitioning careers From non IT background n initially everyone said DEVOPS is very easy, coding not required. I did a course n it was just horrible. We basically learnt nothing. I spent hours on youtube trying to learn. I spent my time feeling frustrated, anxious, depressed n cried. I hired someone to privately teach me n he knew nothing even though he said he was sr dev ops engineer. I lost hope again n felt useless. like as if im dumb n can't pick up the programming skills. I wanted to move to a technical role more for job security. One thing I can say the courses advertised are just 3 months n very basic. You have to put in blood n sweat trying to troubleshoot without anyone to help you. I'm depressed now n wondering what to do next. 😢

Wonderful video Puri ji, after 20 years in IT and after many achievements, I too can share my experience that Spirituality is the key ingredient. Level of success professionally and monetarily can be a part of luck, environment and many other factors in your hand and not in your hand. But success in spiritually is for sure in your hand and this is the only investment which gives multi fold returns, irrespective of any variable.
Keep it up Puri ji.. Many more such videos to come.

Is it good to move on Devops from Linux Administration profile at 40 years of age? 14+ years of experience in multiple IT domains like IT support, windows admin and Lastly & currently on Linux Admin.
Will MNC except such people on devops at this age?

    • @savinderpuri

Buddy, this is a tough situation. You will have to transition from linux/win admin, since the future there isn't rosy. Now, the challenge is to find a role that's commensurate to your experience in DevOps.
Rather than focus on age, I would focus on upskilling.

I am thinking to swich Azure devops
So i already started learning linux , shells scripting and azure devOps

You have explained so beautifully, Sir. I am currently working as an system engineer. I have learned powershell, some ansible on my own and have been using it to deploy patch releases and upgrades. Its not exactly a devops pipeline but running scripts manually. If I want to switch to a DevOps role, shall I start to learn from scratch? Or like you said to build skills on your experience, shall I try to do the things I am doing more better?
Also I am doing everything in Azure which I leant from experience but do not have a single certification for it. Does certification impacts my chances of switching into DevOps role?

    • @savinderpuri
      @savinderpuri  3 місяці тому +1

      1. That's a good start. Keep building on this knowledge
      2. Talk to your DevOps team on what you need to learn to get involved in their tasks
      3. Certifications help you break through, but actual experience + projects is equally valuable

My career in this tool has matured, and I see no further growth opportunities. I want to learn and transition to DevOps, as I have some exposure to it in my current role and believe it would be a better fit for my career. However, my friends have advised me to move to full-stack development because it pays very well-some of them are earning crazy salaries. I'm in a dilemma.
