By far, one of the best videos. I'm transitioning careers From non IT background n initially everyone said DEVOPS is very easy, coding not required. I did a course n it was just horrible. We basically learnt nothing. I spent hours on youtube trying to learn. I spent my time feeling frustrated, anxious, depressed n cried. I hired someone to privately teach me n he knew nothing even though he said he was sr dev ops engineer. I lost hope again n felt useless. like as if im dumb n can't pick up the programming skills. I wanted to move to a technical role more for job security. One thing I can say the courses advertised are just 3 months n very basic. most important aspect of DevOps is troubleshooting and problem solving which he not talked in this video strange!!Nowadays freshers do development but while troubleshooting they can't able to know where to check logs even not able to troubleshoot login also..troubleshooting needs lots of brain power.
I totally agree - troubleshooting is a great skill that needs to be developed by DevOps engineer. It needs the right mindset and practise. It’s a miss! There were so many things to cover and still had to keep the video under 25 min to miss ho Gaya!

Is it good to move on Devops from Linux Administration profile at 40 years of age? 14+ years of experience in multiple IT domains like IT support, windows admin and Lastly & currently on Linux Admin. Will MNC except such people on devops at this age?
Buddy, this is a tough situation. You will have to transition from linux/win admin, since the future there isn't rosy. Now, the challenge is to find a role that's commensurate to your experience in DevOps. Rather than focus on age, I would focus on upskilling.

I want to switch from non it to it. I want to work in either devops or cloud. But the thing is I don't have any experience and I can't gain experience in internships as people want experienced people. Sir just need one suggestion please reply me I have completed 9 years of experience in IT as a Oracle APEX developer but as there was less works i am getting on that So as in MNC they provide work on different different technology. I Worked in datastage, mainframe, AWS putty Oracle now Tableau so im frustrated, and as you know in MNC they are not providing difficult work or fully work from scratch on the above technology so im not confident on the above technology. From last 6 years I'm working in a good MNC but less package so im thinking to swich job with good technology I am thinking to swich Azure devops So i already started learning linux , shells scripting and azure devOps Also as in current scenario all the company need at least 3 years experience so after complete the course and project by my self showing in interview as 3 years as azure devops Is this good or not any thing please suggest. So I
Look at flexagon.com/flexdeploy/ - they specialise in DevOps for Oracle APEX. See if you can introduce this in your company. The easiest if you can pivot into DevOps in your area of expertise.
You have explained so beautifully, Sir. I am currently working as an system engineer. I have learned powershell, some ansible on my own and have been using it to deploy patch releases and upgrades. Its not exactly a devops pipeline but running scripts manually. If I want to switch to a DevOps role, shall I start to learn from scratch? Or like you said to build skills on your experience, shall I try to do the things I am doing more better? Also I am doing everything in Azure which I leant from experience but do not have a single certification for it. Does certification impacts my chances of switching into DevOps role?
1. That's a good start. Keep building on this knowledge 2. Talk to your DevOps team on what you need to learn to get involved in their tasks 3. Certifications help you break through, but actual experience + projects is equally valuable
Hi Savinder -I have been in IT for over a decade, primarily working with an EAM tool, which has kept me away from programming for a long time. My career in this tool has matured, and I see no further growth opportunities. I want to learn and transition to DevOps, as I have some exposure to it in my current role and believe it would be a better fit for my career. However, my friends have advised me to move to full-stack development because it pays very well-some of them are earning crazy salaries. I'm in a dilemma. Could you shed some light on the career prospects in DevOps and the typical pay ranges in the market for someone with 12 years of IT experience?
anything can pay well, if you're really really good at it. What do you like to do - programming or DevOpsy stuff? if you're not sure, talk to some people in both the fields and figure out

I totally agree with the noise point of yours. Just keeping your head down working, cutting off social media does wonders for you. Your mind focuses towards the important things Instead of wandering around taking advice from people on internet who speak without any experience or knowledge.

Agree with you sir, Aapane jo kaha sahi hai. I have 6+ years in DevOps. It's really one of the hard jobs and cracking interviews is not easy. Thank you so much for your guidance, sir.

most important aspect of DevOps is troubleshooting and problem solving which he not talked in this video strange!!Nowadays freshers do development but while troubleshooting they can't able to know where to check logs even not able to troubleshoot login also..troubleshooting needs lots of brain power.
True.. troubleshooting does get frustrating n drains one out completely
I totally agree - troubleshooting is a great skill that needs to be developed by DevOps engineer. It needs the right mindset and practise. It’s a miss!
There were so many things to cover and still had to keep the video under 25 min to miss ho Gaya!

Sir kafi din se soch rha tha ke devops karu ya networking still confused not bc of u but i hv another circumstances, ya but i used to do meditation will try to continue from tomorrow 🙏🙏🙏🙏 thanks
ye kya confusion hai - you need to do networking for devops. And networking is not a field anymore
I'm a beginner It is very overwhelming, not knowing where to start from, I am doing my bachelors in Political Science (3rd year)and would like to come back into coding, (11th and 12th had CS) but i'm not sure what and where to start, Python, web dev, DevOps, mern, cyber security and what not, Devin Ai and all this AI's are too in the market rn which is bothering, Tell me which i'll do for an year or two fully focused and whole heartedly that'll land me a good package in the upcoming years initially and then I'll continue growing in that field. Tell me what should i learn and something that'll be relevant after 4-5 years not something in fashion right now. Sir your spirituality point is 100% valid and helpful, thanks for adding that.
Thanks in advance Savinder Sir and all those who'll reply this and help me out.

I'm new one heading here, honestly it will work to follow salient points

I have completed 9 years of experience in IT as a Oracle APEX developer but as there was less works i am getting on that
So as in MNC they provide work on different different technology.
I Worked in datastage, mainframe, AWS putty Oracle now Tableau so im frustrated, and as you know in MNC they are not providing difficult work or fully work from scratch on the above technology so im not confident on the above technology.
From last 6 years I'm working in a good MNC but less package so im thinking to swich job with good technology
I am thinking to swich Azure devops
So i already started learning linux , shells scripting and azure devOps
Also as in current scenario all the company need at least 3 years experience so after complete the course and project by my self showing in interview as 3 years as azure devops
Is this good or not any thing please suggest.
So I
Please reply
Look at flexagon.com/flexdeploy/ - they specialise in DevOps for Oracle APEX. See if you can introduce this in your company.
The easiest if you can pivot into DevOps in your area of expertise.
i think this one is the best vedio for starting a journey with devOps
thank you. Please share it with your network.
Keep building on this knowledge
2. Talk to your DevOps team on what you need to learn to get involved in their tasks
3. Certifications help you break through, but actual experience + projects is equally valuable
also, have a look at ua-cam.com/video/VuRZVevLAXc/v-deo.html

What do you like to do - programming or DevOpsy stuff?
if you're not sure, talk to some people in both the fields and figure out
Thanks for the information sir!
