- On our last day in Morocco Mor Acro visits our last souk. We were lucky because there was souk happening in Chefchaouen so we decided to visit. We were surprised how well organized and clean the souk was. We hunt for some seasonal fruits and buy some supplies for our ferry journey. Sad to leave but happy to find the cheapest watermelon this season, we take it all the way to Europe.

that black thing is qatran! that helps against skin and head complaints and prevents hair loss. also used in rural areas to keep snakes and scorpions out of doors. the clay pots and cups are decorated with it.

I love Chefchaouen ❤ I hope you tried their local fresh cheese made by the locals, I prefer it to goat cheese. It’s delicious. It’s funny when you too mix Moroccan with French hh. Rumi is amazing

Hello Kevin Anderja and my lovely little Romy, In this case, to visit Chefchaouen you have to stay at least a week to attend the Chefchaouen market. As for the fish, it must be cooked on site, and these vendors must have portable refrigerators to preserve the taste of the meat. Thank you for this video, with many more

The real name is not Chefchaouen, as given by officials because of the panarabism stream, but "Achawen" which means "the horns" in Tamazight/Berber as the local people call it until now. The name Achawen was given because of the 2 mountains near the city. The most of the names of places and cities in Morocco are Amazigh/Berber, and many of them are changed because of panarabism. More than 94 % of Moroccan people hold Amazigh/Berber genes
