German here: You can find excellent sparkling wines, in German "Sekt", in the range of 10-15€. Many grape varietes are used. My personal favorite is Brut Nature (zero residual sugar) Muskateller. It is very fruity and if on the yeast long enough, you still get the champagne style brioche - great as an apperitif.
I'd also add MCC to the list. Unfortunately they are quite pricy here in Germany compared to South Africa.

Thank You for Your comment. Germany makes many sparkling wine styles, this time I really wanted to focus on Riesling grape. I talk about Cap Classique in my original video, good call! 🍾🥂 Cheers! 🍾

Super cute. Nice Hair. Stylish and provides nice information. Cristal. Drank the 2008 on New Years Eve. Pricey but the way to go. I think the bubbles are somewhat of a degestivo similar to Perrier.

You should try Brazilian spark wines from Pinto Bandeira region. Much more balanced than Californians. And I live in California!

Great video, again. Corpinnat is a really exciting development. I find Trento-DOC very underrated, and great value.
There is also happening a lot, with sparkling wines in Denmark at the moment. The 2 first, to receive the Danish AOP, called BOB (love that abbrevation), are DONS and Skærsøgaard, both sparkling wine producers, and others will soon follow. I expect Brut de Møn to be receiving theirs, as soon as they eligible, they are disgorging their first vintage right now, to be released in the spring.

@@NoSediment I think the 5 areas/regions you chose, plus the 5 from the old video, were great examples. I taste (and drink) a lot of sparkling wines. During the warm month in Copenhagen, I meet up with a couple of friends, every Thursday afternoon, to drink bubbles in the sun. Everybody brings a bottle, the first time each year, and last time, it has to be Champagne, besides that, the rules are no Prosecco and no repeats. So we get to taste a lot of bubbles, from May to August. ;)

It’s rare to find a Cremant de Jura in Canada, but the d’Alsace options are plentiful enough, and often very affordable. I have found that they aren’t consistently good, often lacking acidity.

I think You are spot on with the observation! 💯 I think it is important to look for a good producer to find a good Cremant d’Alsace. 🤷‍♀️ Thank You for the comment and cheers! 🍾✨🥂

Cremant d'Alsace is my go-to from France but Saumur can also be pretty good. English can often push Champagne pretty close but it isn't necessarily much cheaper, even in the UK.

Maybe one option missing: Valdobbiadene and the better Prosecco. It's a 'secret' version of a trendy bubbly which hardly no one gives credit. Corpinnat is great and fortunately still under the radar. Franciacorta is already too expensive.

Jura's crémants are sold at criminally low prices compared to their value... which in turn shows how overpriced is champagne.
