I love fact fiend. I clicked on the video to hear about Arnold breaking his fingers. But I stayed for the hilarious explanation of British reality television.
Brad being framed in the Play Button isn't some coincidence. Its expert Cinematography, Brad is viewing the show not first hand, but filtered through a visual display. Just as we watch via a screen, he's a literal 'reflection' of us, as we 'Play' Fact Fiend. Genius, im truly humbled.
To add. Whenever you mention BLEEP in a UA-cam video or show a BLEEP in one it’s more likely to get demonetized or have further restrictions because you mentioned BLEEP in a video about someone using the BLEEP for a movie about robots using BLEEP to unsubscribe people from life. I am also one of those people obsessed with BLEEP but I know to not try to correct people online about it all the time 😂
I remember as a kid my family would set up tripoly, pass out chips and we would play for hours, talking about random things of interest and sometimes even focusing on the game. That is this channel, and I hope it never changes.
Took me a while to realize when he was talking about Revolver Ocelot, they were censoring the word gun, not the word pen*s, so I was imagining him waving his pen*s around, killing wasps with it.
I would love to have the Fleicher superman shorts because I've only found them in relative to modern standards, fairly low quality and I imagine that's mostly due to the difficulty of maintaining the quality of the original material for nearly a hundred years since we've come a very long way in media storage. It's not my favorite set of superman episodes I love the DCAU (Bruce Tim Universe) and especially for the superman portrayal, but those shorts are incredible and I'd probably love them in a diffrent way if I could see it in original film
So, let me get this right. Guys obbessed with guns. Your more offended that a BRITISH guy, doesn't know his guns, and is willing to admit it, instead of being offended that he calls you weird and stupid? If your gonna get angry, at least pick a hill that is above sea level.
I can't tell what is more glossy, the youtube play button on the shelf, or the head reflecting in the play button reflecting the play button back in an infinite loop this whole video. It was a perfect easter egg for this video.
I still have my original NES Legend of Zelda gold cartridge. I don't even have a way to play it anymore, but I'll never give up that game. You can bury me with it.
Gun nerds on the internet are really weird. I myself watch quite a few guntubers and almost all the time whenever I wrote a fact about a gun that wasn't mentioned, the sheer amount of "actually" or "technically" comments breaking down every word i used as if their lives depended on it... It's just astonishing.
... Chances are, a good number of these "Experts" are actually overripe *Militakus* who has never held anything packing more heat then an air soft BB, and thinks "I'm Him." after spending triple digit hours playing video games. >)X^D
"i myself watch quite a few guntubers" so you dont know what you are talking about, base your opinions on what youtubers say, then get upset when someone corrects you.

Honestly, speed racer fucking rocks, but not for the normal reasons. This movie is so beyond anything normal movies are. It is probably the single most visuallydifferent high budget movie of the 2000s, its a fucking trip. Yeah the plot is thin and the acting is shit, but aesthetically its just a fucking bold experiment. If you just look at it from the angle of editing its one of a kind. As a man obsessed with firearms to a painful extent, i fucking DESPISE people who feel the need to correct everything. If you say bullets in reference to cartridges i know what the fuck you mean, as Karl said, and to 99% of the population the point is made. Technical nuance is only necessary in technical discussion. Of someone is explaining the dichotomy of ammunition then yes the bullet is not the same as the whole cartridge. BUT THIS ISN'T THAT it's like when they correct people who say "clip" in reference to the Garand when the M1 Garand USES A FUCKING CLIP IT'S LITERALLY IN THE ARMY MANUAL. so i understand Karl's disdain for neurotic assholes who are obsessed with firearms. God speed Karl and team
Speed Racer is great you guys are crazy and Peter Jacksons Kong is some of the best CGI still to this day and has the craziest fight scene of all time.
I've noticed that with boxsets too, even movie ones seem to pop cheaper than a single movie from the set. As to the lever thing, so many showing off try to do the fast cycling thing with the back of their hands too and find out the hard way it's not fun
If I opened a fact fiend video, and it was JUST you telling me this story about Arnie, I probably wouldn’t watch. I come for the facts, I stay for the banter. Gotta remember though, yanks can’t bant.
Talking about gun safety reminds of those videos showing clips of gun ranges and just how fast the instructor will take someone down for doing something stupid
Pew pew enthusiasts can be annoying af it's even worse if you have one as a sibling . In fact, I don't think it's a stretch to say that my little brother sometimes forcefully injects his love of pew pews interconversions where they have no place and he ends up rambling on and on and on and on😅😅😅

As much as I disagree with Kyle saying Lotr is “okay” (his opinion is valid) I do have to agree that ‘the making of’ for that series is phenomenal and I think I’ve watched it just as much as the actual film. Most cases I’ve watched before the movie 😂 I also love ‘the making of’ any claymation. Those are lost gems as everything is CGI now. There’s one about pirates where I’ve watched ‘the making of’ more than the movie. I’ve literally put the DvD in to watch behind the scenes and directors commentary etc and then not bothered with the actual movie. I wanted that pirate ship when I was a kid, I wish it was a toy!
Can confirm as someone who's been to a gun range they are very serious on if you mess around with the guns in any way or even point them anywhere apart from down range it's zero tolerance you're kicked out from the place and the one I was at will ban you
I went to a museum in Norfolk (UK) a while ago that had one of John Wayne’s repeater rifles that was modified in a similar way to the one in Terminator 2
On _The Lord of the Rings_ trilogy, having recently watched it on BD, a lot of it looks absolutely wonderful and perfect. However, every now and then, there's a very awkwardly done composite shot that looks bad even for 2001. They're still great films but they sure ain't perfect. Also, the films are available on UHD Blu-ray and it's a new scan. However, it's only 2K upscaled to 4K UHD. It's not native 4K because it can't be, not without redoing every single VFX shot.
For me, the movies I want in super high quality are almost all 2D animation. The first one that comes to mind is Akira, as well as Princess Mononoke, any/all things by Satoshi Kon, classic/Golden Age Disney films, and Yellow Submarine. Those have so much detail and vibrancy that having them high quality can be mind blowing, and is also really cool to study the art and animation from. Similarly, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, because the effects and acting with the mixed animation and live action are so fantastic. Really the only fully live-action movie I can think of is 2001: A Space Odyssey. It feels like the first and last thirds of the film are only worth seeing in theaters, with a huge screen and surround sound. The HAL section stands on its own as a story, so it's ok in lower quality, but with the right setup and quality, the more abstract sections turn from kind of boring into a mindfuck of a theme park ride. Also, the full color editions of the Akira manga. The version I have has a couple of color pages per book, but knowing that there's a full color version out there haunts me (and my wallet).
2016, Shin Godzilla is my pick, that movie is gorgeous, the initial laser breath scene with the immaculate scoring and effects, I'm so disappointed I never saw it on the big screen, but ultra HD wouldn't be too bad for me

@Karl, so... like ... with One Piece *specifically*. Once you get a feel for the narrative rubric that author is working from (which isn't too difficult to percept after about 20-30 episodes), you can blow through 300+ episodes in a week by actively just skipping that bs by choice. There is so much narrative flotsam in that piece of media that has absolutely ZERO bearing to the overall narrative aesthetic, that it can very literally just be *skipped*. Nothing you see there is going to be the moment where "you truly found your love that narrative", and only exists to be a time-vampire.

What if instead of bleeping the word gun you say force multipler 😂
Exactly, UA-cam doesn't censor the word "***"
