I have studied in an esteemed University of India. I have experienced this personally. Our university paid 25 lakh to Sonu Nigam for star night. But they denied mere 10k to a group of students for a nanotechnology based project. They spent money from their own pocket. When they successfully built the product, our institute published it in the local newspaper & put the headline as "the students of **** institute achieved...". That's the support innovation receives here.
Humare college me to funding aayi and humne project apne pocket se bna kar submit v kr diya ...but bhai aadhe paise v funding se wps nhi aaye ... Uske alawa project k sth sth velet/chart paper k bits and pieces v unhone as evidence liye ( along with all the equipment used ) ... After that we never accepted any projects even if funding was being provided ... 😢 .... the thing was a nightmare since all my projectmates were poor and only me and another guy took care of all the costs that occurred and bill v last me hmdono par hi phat gya ...

Please focus on word NAUKRI. Today’s parents are so much obsessed that from 5th standard kids are enrolled for IIT JEE preparation and what does kid do post IIT they work in MNC Bank. This is harsh realty.
Today Engineera are working in MNC banks as programmer look at Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Noida etc students learn automobile engineering, electrical, electronics, civil etc etc and they join as intern in these banks and then get permanent job.
Innovation comes from passion and love for subject and not from greed to earn money from initial days.

Mein ek world top 10 mein padh raha hu, lekin honestly IISc, IIT, some NITs, BITS,Jadavpur are really really good. Lekin desh ko kafi cheejo mein badalna padega. Har cheez in sab world university mein bhi sahi nahi hai. Yeh sahi baat hai we lack patience, have ego, compare karna dusro se which we need to correct. But idea and implementation mein students are good in India, bade universities mein bhi aise students hai around 30 to 35% jo technical project kaam na karke certificate lekar nikal jaate hai.

Post independence India was growing rapidly. But again India was detailed by global powers and we kept derailed till 2003 approx.
Colonization of mindset was done along with derailment of Indian economy from around 1970.
P V Narshimha Rao started making India back on track but it's clear that west fear was there.
Atal ji given next big push towards technology innovation. After his govt again things got slow down. But strategic alliance was done with USA so folks from IIT started working in India.
Now after 2014 Modi ji govt giving strong push. So we are going to grow fast. But now a new emerged powerful country closely watching India and they would try their best to slowdown Indian innovations.
America and west tried their best to bring democracy in China but China stood strong . That's why they are developed and powerful today . Democracy is a tool for USA to interfere in country's internal affairs . China may hate democracy in their country but might be loving that India has democracy . It works in their favour .

It is true that thus far, none of the top Indian businesspersons or entrepreneurs have made groundbreaking inventions or breakthroughs.

Inovations are done by research scholars (Phds), which takes huge time (5-7 years atleast), are paid as a stipend very less (30k-35k). Now, most of the talented students, at the age of 25-28, they have to support their family with these 35k. Do you think the person gonna work on innovation for 5-7 years just for 35k. Research is itself a full time job, the research scholars should be paid with good amount so that talented scholars will work for innovation full heartedly. I myself did my MTech at IIT Kharagpur, the environment over their for phd is very depressing, the only thing they have to do is research, whole day and night they are spending their time in labs. Personal life is hell. Why the person will think about innovation?? Talented UG students are paid huge packages as placements just after completion of UG. If they are paid good, they could go for innovations, but why they will go for research just for 35k for 5-6 years??

Because Indian people are more interested on freebies and easy money and r and d wants huge funding initially, for example once you analyze the defence budget than u can get a idea about that. And we are also addicted to
blame each other only but not find any solution to it. At first as a youth u have to clear about that our teachers, politician, scientists, researchers. Civil servant also come out from us only. Agreed. I have experienced myself if a researcher shares a topic which is creative, novel, the senior prof.s immediately rejects and demoralise the candidate. Some Prof.s are not capable enough to guide candidates who want to pursue a research on a new topic. They are not ready to accept the results of the research, if the results donot match with their imaginative results/imagination....ye aisa hona chahiye tha, chahe uske lia candidate results ko manipulate hi kyon na karna pare.

I give you one real life example we (my friend & me) both win in kalam innovation conclave in college and won but for project we need money even we won award money but when we reached the office we did'nt got even half the amount, they told us when you made the workable innovation using own money, then we will give us the money, thats the realty 😂
It's not only the education system which is bad but our social structure too. opinions are suppressed by our own family members in most of the cases. Specially in unsuccessful families. Otherwise how come Indians are leading globally.

Chutiye है क्या ? आदिपुरुष एक फ़िल्म है जो पब्लिक ही रिव्यू करेगा और कोई नहीं। अगर इस फ़िल्म के बारे में बातचीत होता है तो वो सिर्फ एक रिव्यू है। ओम राउत अगर घटिया dialogue बनाएगा तो इसमें पब्लिक रिव्यू करेगे ही। कुछ तो सोच समझ के कमेन्ट कर । और हा ये फ़िल्म रामायण के ऊपर बनाया गया है तो इसमें रिव्यू करना काफी जरूरी है क्योंकि ये फिल्म कैसे हमारे हिन्दू धर्म को दर्शाता है ये भी देखना चाहिए और काफी ज़रूरी भी है।

Main reason is our education system. Our school and college's teachers are one of the reason behind lack of innovation. My school most of the maths teacher's was not good. if ask doubt of specific sum so He use beat me . If a teacher don't have skill to understand students problem how can teacher develop learning and innovative skills in student ? .

Ya so true there is lack of innovation in college due to ignorance of faculties and management and not getting any opportunity to apply skills like placements or in some innovative projects as well as in office due to politics and ego of seniors which results in toxic work culture and also given more importance to local people irrespective of performance. Also there is no proper management of work by seniors as most of them does nothing much and all such problems are imposed on juniors and ultimately there is no place left for innovation due to politics, mismanagement, ego of seniors and toxic culture where seniors most of the time behave rudely to juniors and moreover one is not valued for his or her work.
Even, I had this both experience😔

Kitna bhi education lo wahi thinking hai - sala ab tak directly or indirectly gulami hi kar rahe hai... anyways i do believe in this Gov to do some good but if we want to grow we need to b patriot ... talented or so called educated one dont go outside BHARAT....
