This song has a lot of deeper meaning for me. Years back I was was fighting stage 4 cancer and given a year. I was so very weak at the time as I could not stand longer than 5 minutes and set on a bench while my wife went to get the car. As I waited I felt beaten and used up by the very thing killing me and so I found myself looking at the sky wondering if I should just stop fighting it and what I would find when it had finished with me... now mind you to the the best of my memory I had not heard this song in 20+ years but as I looked up at those clouds that moment wondering what next I began hearing that song so clearly and with it came a feeling of calm. As the despair had left me I knew at that moment no matter if I lost or won the fight everything thing would be OK. I made it to remission and it has been 11 years now. Thanks for letting me share.

Gosh, this brought me to tears. Harry's song, Cats in the Cradle is my song that I share with my own son. When I heard your version of this (on Defiance), I was so moved. Imagine my joy when I found out that it was you. Simply beautiful and haunting.

Had to comment on this beautiful touching song which never fails to lift my spirits when I hear it (love how Van and this version hit the high notes so flawlessly) and, more importantly, as one reviewer commented , about how Mr. Van Morrison’s music is able to make one forget for the moment our troubles and in its place find temporal joy for not only his music but life itself.
I heard a band cover 'Into The Mystic' on the 4th, they had a horn section that added a lot to this tune, as I searched for similar covers I came across Jen's, very nice song for her lovely voice. Such a great job, I am lost for words...
