2:34 on 1.1 and+, you will need a wall, be around 3/4 links size away from it. In my opinion, it is better to wait until you get the map ability.
If you reload a file on 1.1 and later, it removes the dms, so make sure to store it on the mount in links house.
I need to mod my switch, I'm normally asking people to try things on other versions but Its not good enough. I hate all these different versions.

2:08 It's worth mentioning that lighting a weapon on fire doesn't consume any durability, but rather starts a secret countdown from 60 seconds. Once that countdown hits zero, the weapon immediately burns away. Extinguishing this fire resets the countdown, meaning that there's no detriment to lighting your weapons on fire so long as they aren't burning for longer than 60 seconds. I totally understand wanting to use a different weapon though, sticks just feel so inherently unreliable and flimsy.

So I notice you can drop the DMS via what you were doing to get it displayed, could it be possible to perform a DMS transfer to another file similar to the msg not found transfer based on the fact that you can drop it. This would mean it just involves using the quick select first - then quickly pressing start to equip a weapon - drop weapon and load other save file? I hope my explanation made sense. Actually nevermind it looks like it doesn't actually drop.
Can you dupe gltich it into your main save? Or it cant be droped?
What are some of the best things to fuse to the decayed master sword? Because its not going to be a power weapon, what would make it a fun fuse to have?

Yep! Just have it on the donor weapon and the DMS will take it!
how do you hide the hp bar and the mini map?
You can display the regular master sword the same way? But then will you still have the regular master sword to use as well? And can you dupe the decayed master sword to keep it on the stand and also in your inventory?
You cant supe it sadly. but you can Display the master sword the same way.
Okay, I think I'm a bit dumb, I dropped the donor, zuggled until weapons started dropping, equipped the dms, then the donor, but nothing happened?
I just did it in 1.1.2, pretty straightforward except you need to go get materials to perform weapon zuggling.

Here is my playthrough :
New save -> Manual save before taking the decayed master sword
[SLOWER AND HARDER METHOD but the one I used to smuggle a weapon in the room of awakening]
Complete the Great Sky island normally and go get those things :
-shock resistant armor (either thunder helm or full set of the armor)
-shock emitter
-2 metal shields
-1 memory
-torch
Perform Fuse Entanglement Weapon Zuggle (FEWZ) with a lit torch
(Go watch a tutorial if you don't know how to do it)
I recommand using Hylian shield to get it in your new decayed master sword playthrough
I also suggest to use a good weapon to do FEWZ and then fuse the torch and light it up for the same reason
[THE FASTER METHOD IS THERE]
Do Save Load Dupe with a weapon that cuts or burn the roots
[After here is the same for both methods]
Then you can load your manual save, burn the branches that stops you and do GSI without picking up the decayed. You can pick it after the Give-it-back-to-zelda cutscene.
To display/fuse it just equip the decayed ms ;
Zuggle Overload with bows (again,watch a tutorial to learn it if you don't know)
Drop the donor weapon, pick it back up and go display it. Now your Decayed Master Sword is displayed. Drop your equiped bows and save-reload.
If you take it back it WILL have the fuse, modifier and durability of the donor weapon.
(It works as well with the real ms. If you want to keep the modifier make sure to full your weapon inventory before reloading. If you don't, you'll have the modified ms displayed and a copy in your inventory. If you take the two, one will not persist through loads.)
you can Throw SLD in 1.1.2 and you can pick up the weapon in the Room of Awakening

@@slimo-quelquun trust me I was floored when I could pick it up. But yeah you can. I was trying to make the video for 1.1.2 and trying to find a balance between easy and quick.
I had some errors in this video so I nodded my switch so I could test and record on the correct version.

So when you're dropping the tree branches at the beginning by the cooking-pot do they have to be all the same weapon? I'm on version 1.1.0 i tried it with the wooden stick instead of the tree branch because I have four wooden sticks and two tree branches... Does it have to be the tree branch i have msg master sword from my main account but, i really want the decayed one to show Ganon its not so fragile. Everytime i do the droping the tree branches it doesnt work ive done it on my main account before. Do you need to do any shrines first? Drop two wooden sticks then drop the one that equipped. Equip another pause and unpause then drop the one your holding.. make sure u have the dtick out..... What am i doing wrong
Yes branches are important for the dropping, because of their size. There are a lot of factors when dropping things without a wall to zuggle. So different weapons have different requirements.
just to be clear, you can do the fire stick thing to retrieve the decayed master sword without having to use a new save right?
No, unfortunately is has to be a new save.
You can get the lit weapon to the awakening room and burn roots, do gsi, and do whatever you want with the decayed. But you can't get the decayed back in your normal save.
can you do it if you have already played the game like can you get it after beating ganon or can you zuggle it

cant you save transfer another weapon into the manual save before picking it up (transfer like you do with the msg). just start a new file, manual save, get a cutting weapon, transfer it to before picking up the decayed and complete the gsi. is this possible?
though, it might be slower because you need to get teleportation...
You can pick up the MNF Sword in there. you can also pick up weapons you throw SLD. but not normal SLD. for 1.0-1.1.1 this is pretty fast. to SLD you need to get back to the room you start in, in order to pass the weapon over. 1.1.2 will need to do this.
Is there any way to get it without having to completely start over? Like how you can get the MsgNotFound Master Sword?

There is not sadly. It’s a lot like the master sword. It can’t be moved between files. I’m looking for a way but it’s not looking good.

The fuse worked perfectly. But after a while of playing. I loaded an auto save and the DMS was gone from my inventory 😭 is there any way to keep the DMS in my inventory permanently?
So you will have to Make a manual save with it still at GSI or on a weapon stand. I found out that passed 1.1, if you have the DMS in your inventory on load itll remove it.

I'm on version 1.1.0 and i still have the DMS in the room of awakening. Is there a way to duplicate the DMS? And just for fun i fused goat butter to it so I can show my niece and nephews that I asked Zelda for a better sword, but instead she gave me a butter sword🤦🏼♂️🤣🤷🏼♂️

@@Timberwolfee mostly a kid still dreaming of total freedom. Since I saw how speedrunners in-game re-coded oot and majoras mask, I believe everything is possible in videogames.
Also totk works mostly as botw do. I would not be surprised if a new IST was discovered for totk.

There has been some recent discoveries, so yeah there is a way but there might be a faster and easier way soon.

I did it and I went to get the msg not found too early and lost it it's not in my inventory now I gotta start all over...... Guys wait till u progress at least to the ground etc. Then do the msg in that shrine don't make the same mistake 😭

@@Dirty_Bear22 Its not, I found out that on 1.1 and higher you need to have a hard save with the DMS on a Weapon Stand or still in the starting room. If it is in your inventory on load the game will remove it.

tbh there is no specific reason , i heard that the base version has some performance issues and it seems that most of the fun glitches were patched in 1.2.1 so i would just like to go somewhere in the middle @@Timberwolfee
Wth we’re all of those tutorials about being against a wall for zuggling? Dropping 15+ weapons and shields?? Why is the method you showed so much easier??

Yeah, being against the wall just makes it easier, and there are a lot of factors at play. Namely the size of the weapon. This is easy because I know the factors of the branch. But doing the same thing with a royal sword is likely to have a different outcome.
