It's such a hassle not being able to see if you can safely switch lanes or not. Side view mirrors get more sophisticated with new safety features every year, but the install process has not changed for decades. This Avalon mirror is held on by three small bolts/nuts and the electrical wire harness. Side view mirrors are designed to break off clean so no extra damage occurs on your door. The only tool you'll need is a socket wrench with a corresponding socket for the nuts.
You want to start by snapping off the black triangular cover on the inside of the door. You'll notice that the electrical plug and bolts are behind the cover, indicating that you do NOT have to remove the door panel. Once you pry off the small cover, remove the bolt/nuts first. Leave the electrical wire connected just in case gravity wants to take your mirror down. Once you have the mirror secured, unplug the wires and remove the mirror.
Hopefully, you've selected the correct color mirror with corresponding features. All the Toyota Avalon mirrors are available aftermarket EXCEPT the mirror with the turn signal. If your mirror has the turn signal feature like the one we installed; it's a dealership item only.
Before we install the mirror, be sure to place the rubber weather stripping onto your new mirror. The majority of our mirrors come with some sort of rubber or plastic cover that acts as insulation. If your order did not have one, notify us or you can always reuse the old one on the current mirror.
Once that is settled, you can install the mirror. Just work your way backward and clip the wires back on and bolt the mirror to the car door.
The last order of business is to make sure the mirror's electrical components work. Turn the engine on and make sure you can electronically adjust the side view mirrors from the inside. As you can see in the video, we moved the glass mirror around for adjustment and check the turn signal. That's it, your all done and ready to go!

GREAT instructional video. No fluff, just get right to the meat of the installation. I like how you highlighted to not tighten the nuts all the way to ensure the mirror was aligned, and how you emphasized testing the mirror once it was installed. Also, extra points for the Rockets cap, H-Town represent!

Thank you very much for posting this video!!!! I have a 2011 Avalon Limited. I understand there was a style change with the 2011. Is the removal/install more or less the same?
Hi Mark thank you for watching. It is similar the only thing that I see that could possibly be different is the door panel may need to be removed. The reason is the plug is longer and goes behind the door panel. Let me know if that helps. If you need this mirror go to www.Revemoto.com.
Great, thank you! I can see what’s behind me now😝
Hahaha that’s awesome. Glad it help and now your able to see

Hi! can such mirrors for Toyota Avalon L + R be ordered in Kazakhstan?
Unfortunately, we do not sell internationally, sorry. Thank you for watching!
Hi, I have 2007 Avalon XLS. Will the in mirror turn signals work for my XLS version?
As long as you order the one with the turn signal and your original one has turn signal. It will work and you can get it at www.ReveMoto.com
So no 06 limited left in stock? I have the turn signal one. Silver
The Limited with turn signal is OEM only. Please follow the link and fill out the form including your VIN. We'd be happy to get you a quote. www.revemoto.com/pages/painted-parts-request
I have broken 2008 avalon driver side -pearl white. Can I buy ?
Absolutely! Please follow the link bit.ly/08AvalonMirror . If you need help with the specific type of mirror you need, please chat with us or call us.
I have a toyota avalon limited 2006 but Mine is not broken my only problem is that the passenger mirror signal is not working,do you think that i should change it???
That's entirely up to you. Some folks would want it to work properly, others wouldn't mind since the turn signal on your headlight works. Maybe a fuse or the connector came loose. I would check that first before replacing it. Thank you for watching!
Can you put a mirror from a 2011 Avalon on a 2006 Avalon?
I apologize for the confusion. No, you cannot. While the model range for the Avalon is 2004-2012, there was a style change in 2011. The mirrors are different. We’ll definitely change the title and thanks for bringing this to our attention. ✌️
Can you just replace the mirror with signal or do you have to replace the whole assembly
Like your signal light is broken or you trying to add a signal light?
Where can I buy a complete mirror or just the inside mechanism?

Hello, is there some way to just replace the glass?
That I am not sure. Check with your dealership and see if they sell only the glass. If so then all you need to do is pop out the glass
Do you need that foam that is attached to the car door? The foam that I have is too old to reuse
Hello Jakob. No, it's not essential for the fender. Also, I believe their not too expensive at a dealership or a local junkyard.
Hi. Can you send the link to buy this tool please? What size of nut screw is used? Please help
Do you have a 2007 Toyota Avalon limited side mirror?
I only see exclude limited. Will the other fit because they look similar?
@@kaylagregory94 Hello Kayla. There are a few features for the Avalon mirror that are only sold by Toyota. The features are puddle lamp, auto-dimming glass and turn signal. We have sold quite a few of these mirrors from our partner Toyota. Click the link below for a quote, please include your VIN number. www.revemoto.com/pages/painted-parts-request
Just for clarification, there is no way to just replace the arrow led light bulb in my 2007 Toyota Avalon limited?
Anyone know where I can find a side mirror for a 07 limited? The place he mentioned doesn’t carry it
Hello. We can get you the mirror OEM. The mirror with turn signal or auto-dimming is only OEM.
ReveMoto - Pre-Painted Auto Body Parts how much and where can I find it?
@Tony Polito thanks man I found one on eBay for $100 it was gray but I painted it myself. Unfortunately I’m having a problem with there being no traction control button and I live in Wisconsin so the car is basically useless when the roads are slippery. So I’m about to sell it.
can you tell me where can you find a side mirror of 2007 limited ,my car just got a problem and i still looking for that ,thank you.
@@bambiluong9759 what side are you looking?
Somehow my heated mirror got CRACKED but, my mirror frame is in perfect condition. Can the mirror be replaced w/o having to replace entire unit.?
Yes, that is very much possible. Usually the dealership will sell the mirror in several pieces. If I am not mistaken, the glass should be under $100. Most likely around $50 give or take. Good luck!
How cannot get mirror out of plastic cover
What size is the tool
We go over it in the beginning of the video, it's a 10 socket and wrench. Thank you for watching!✌
I have a question if I am replacing a side mirrror power, heated, signal mirror with just a power, heated mirror w/o signal will the wiring harness from the car work with the electrical plug on the new mirror
If I recall correctly, no. 1) The plugs may not be compatible. 2)Some features may not work.
Sometimes mirrors will have the same fitting plug but with less connector pins. I believe the Avalon has 2 types of plugs, short square and a long rectangle plug. I would definitely check the return policy on the mirror you are purchasing to be sure. If the plugs are the same but have less connector pins, it may affect the functionality, causing the motor or heat option to not work properly. However, any side view mirror will function to its true purpose regardless of the fancy options. You can bolt on any Avalon mirror and not have to plug in the wiring; at least you'll see the cars while driving. We hope this helps!
Did This work for you? I’m curious as well I have the XLS version but would like the turn signal in mirror found in the limited version
Do y'all have a 07
We sure do! Please visit the link below. Please subscribe if you have not, it helps us a ton! 😎

How to just replace the mirror glass?
We mainly sell car parts and they never sell the glass separate from the mirror housing unless you buy it from the dealership. But, the glass is held on by plastic clips. So, you just have to "gently" pop it off the housing. Be careful not to break the clips or pull to hard and break any electrical wires attached to the mirror glass. @@ReveMoto thanks
Yeahhhhhhh....but no....my 2004 xls is so different. the 2 bottom bolts are not accessible with out door panel removal. going to try just a glass first.
That is odd. I Know there was a model change on the 2010's. It may be possible to loosen the top part of the door panel just enough to get to the bolts. If not, there are usually some bolts around the door handle that need to be removed. I know there is one behind the door handle, maybe on on the arm rest. Good luck!
@@ReveMoto Requesting a little clarity. Since the vid represents a right-hand replacement, could the left door of the XLS have a different configuration that hides the two lower bolts and wire clip? (Asking because I am ordering a left-hand mirror for a 2004 Avalon that I can't lay eyes on yet.)
On subsequent research, it appears to me that the door configuration in your 2008 demonstration model is VERY different from the 2004. Your title is, therefore, misleading and could lead to some significant customer frustration.
@@whatever195305 You're absolutely right, we made a mistake on the model range and it's now fixed. However, start by removing the interior cover. if you do not see the clip, you most likely have to remove the door panel. Please watch our "ultimate mirror guide," it may help. Thank you for watching. ua-cam.com/video/s-WuTj6l7Zs/v-deo.html
I appreciate this video. But I think you're gouging on your prices for these painted mirrors. I got a black one from amzn for $42 and local body shop painted it for $80. You want almost $100 more???
Thanks for watching! We try to offer a fair price and are transparent with our prices for that reason. It'll really depend on paint costs (type/quality of paint you use), where the mirrors are manufactured/purchased, and honestly, where you live and how much labor costs are in the area. We might not always be the cheapest, but we do try to provide high-quality parts. Hope that helps!
