I watch your posts regularly just like a TV show love watching you guys work the cattle and the things you do with them to keep them healthy and vibrant they always look good
I liked the 3" rain comment! When I lived in Albuquerque, we used to talk about 12" rain the same way, but the drops were bigger! Here's hoping you get a bit more in this week.
Used to play that game with a cardiologist I worked with. Dr. Defehr, I miss our music games, I miss you and miss our other game of stealing each other’s pen…. Cole, I heard that grunt when you put down the part from the tractor. Better watch that! Hernia’s are not fun. Bull day coming up! Woooooooooohooooooo! Happy you had a good day at the sale. Some fortunate people will get top quality Sonne beevos. Great for them! Thanks for raising cattle to feed us all. Thanks for sharing! 109 baby Sonne beevos! Storla Station
Morning Brian and Cole.. on this blessed morning.. Halifax NS...just got a downpour and I mean a downpour of rain. I went out on the deck and said a prayer. "Lord can you send this to South Dakota please". I see you are potentially in the running for a flurry or two and some rain next week. I PRAY IT SOAKS THE FIELDS..🙏❤
We just baught a quarter of beef, it was still cheaper than from the stores and fresh off the hoof. So buy from your local farmers. Save some money, and guarantee to taste scrumptious.
I was hoping Sonne Farms caught some of that blizzard that hit southern Manitoba. I imagine your frost is out of the ground and snow melt would have soaked in. Good to hear the sale went well.
SONNE farms days are the best days!! You guys crack me up. Congrats on the sale!! Sucks it was all spent fueling up the tractor 🥺. Patiently waiting for bull day
song of the day is awesome, the man knows his music for sure and glad you had a good sale, bills need to be payed, keep calm and stay safe you all greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Neighbor Ned had the EXACT same problem with that incessant beeping when he was planting. Everytime he pulled out of his driveway the beeping started and wouldn't stop. We ran a diagnostic on the monitor with no luck. We checked all the wiring on the tractor with no luck. Finally, we realized it was his ankle monitor from the probation office so we just cut it off and tossed it onto a passing beer truck. Problem solved.
Thanks for another great video Cole. It was interesting and enjoyable as all are. Go get that raccoon. They really chew on wires. Hard on equipment. Hopefully your trap is going to get it. Beautiful pot belly trucks that hauled your cattle to the market. These trailers now days are something else. That one had triple axles. Your new loading equipment is working great for you. You and dad had them loaded fairly quickly. Glad your sale went good and your return was what you needed it to be. The cattle looked real good. People know the Sonne name when buying. What is this you being gone for a week to a party????? Surely you joke. Planting season is just around the corner. That alert signal you hear might be your tractor computer not hooking up with the planter soft ware. Just a suggestion. As much as I hate to mention this, hopefully that raccoon did not chew on the tractor or planter wires. Thanks Brian for the song of the day. Loved your story about roller skating and the song. In high school we spent a lot of time at the roller skating. Was good fun as you said Brian. Thinking of you both for the bull sale day. I know with your good teamwork it will go fine. I think it Is great that you have so many return buyers. Speaks well for the fine herdsmen you both are. I know I would not hesitate buying from you. Am sure a lot of your buyers watch your channel. They know what they are getting. Busy time soon. Lot of work getting machines hooked up to the right tractors and such. Good job Cole on getting that project done. You are good with machinery. About it for now I guess. You both take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Cole. Appreciate your filming and editing. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Great reverse parking there Cole! So glad the sales day went so well. I remember last year , when you sold the bulls, I think as breeders, a man returned to buy a few that had been buying his bulls from your dad for years. I hope we can see him again. Return customers are a great sign of your quality bulls. Happy Easter to you all, and good luck catching that raccoon.
Bull day?? That's a lot of bull!! Guys just can't get a break any more!! It almost seems that farming is preparing for a disaster, working through the disaster, and cleaning up AFTER the disaster to prepare for the next disaster!!. There are SO many things that figure into the size and complexity of each disaster I do not see how you people do it. Especially, again and again, and again. You are a special breed of people and I think God you are!! Brian's song of the day for this would have to be "No one does it better!!? Thanks for letting me go along with you all.
Glad the sale went well. I hope you guys get some rain up there. We're a bit dry where I live in Kansas, too, so always looking for rain. This is APRIL...it's supposed to have showers!! Thanks for another good video.
Raccoons are dangerous not just for chewing things - their poop is often infected w/roundworm. The eggs can actually be inhaled by humans (& Elly) so take care!! Happy Easter! 💕💕
Happy for you that you got a decent price for the cattle. Spring planting is not that far off, nice to see you getting ready, but lets hope for some rain.
Peter Shelton from Gympie Queensland Australia love the channel I’m catching up on all the episodes. My wife ( Eileen) would like to hear the song of the day in the background. Know it cost’s but would be awesome. Again love the channel go Brian, I’m 60 👍🥃
Love Brians Roller skate story especially cause i once in a while get video of guys his age skating currently. Inwas thinking you almost need a wheel kit for that drw bar to move it away cause they are Heavy .
Cole, you are going to be dreaming about that raccoon. Thanks for taking us to the sale barn, Brian. Great video, and I like your UA-cam Shorts. Thank you.
I never realized how huge your operation is. The equipment needed is amazing! Hope you get all the moisture you need for your crops. Also, hope you catch Rocky the raccoon ‼️
Always a Good day on selling day... Beautiful herd Brian & Cole... Absolutely LOVE all your Vlogs❤️🤗 HAPPY EASTER to You both & your Families. GBY ALL 🙏💙❤️💙🐑🐣 🐰
Sonne Farms cattle seem very calm and largely unafaid of people, cooperative and easy natured.... do you suppose it would have anything to do with Dakota Gold Pellets???? kattle loving those!!! neat they can lead the cattle, instead of driving them!!! 😊😊😇😇
I had to help clean up the mess after one of those semi trucks loaded with cattle rolled over on a curve in Wickliffe, KY back in the 80s. The curve was at the bottom of a long steep hill. The driver probably got going too fast down the hill and the cattle shifted while going around the curve. They eventually took that curve out of the road and reduced the steep slope of the hill. I’ve never seen so many beaten up and dead cows in my life. We moved the dead cattle to a near by truck stop where we piled them up and the few that were still alive to a auction barn in the next county.
Happy Easter from northeast Georgia! Love your channel, the babies born, and watching the use of all the big farm equipment. It lends a renewed appreciation for buying USA and USA farmers. Gotta love Brian’s stories, also!! 😀 🚜 🦝 😁
Good day all around. work load will change from feeding cattle to put in crops to feed the next group in the fall and growing those new claves this coming summer. Love your videos!
Hi I can understand that, I like it, I enjoy it, I stress over it. That's true that's why I do it to. Some days are work but none of it is work. Have a great day.
Have faith Cole! One morning you're going to wake up and find Lake Sonne, bursting at it seams, in it's rightful place directly in the center of your driveway. LOL. I've heard rumblings that a famous French conglomerate has discussed plans of building a Riviera style resort on the Eastern beaches of Lake Sonne... So, I suppose that you've got that to look forward to as wel 🤷♂️😂l. I'm sure that you'll get a cut of the profits also. So hey! The future is looking awfully bright if I do say so myself. Ok, back to reality, I did hear there was a blizzardy type situation happening in parts of the Dakotas and I was praying and hoping that you guys were partaking in that fantastic weather... but something tells me that it did not happen, unfortunately. I feel like eventually you guys are going to finally get your fair share of moisture. It's just not right if you don't. I suppose that in a worst case scenario, you can get all of your subscribers to line up with some buckets and we'll empty a lake or river, right onto your fields... I feel like that's more likely to happen at this point than getting some actual rain out there. Lol.
After watching your channel for a relatively short period of time, I realized that yours was going to be my favorite. I felt disloyal to my other farming/ranching/dairy farming channels that I had been watching for a much longer period of time...crazy right? But there ya go.... Anyway the reasons I absolutely love your channel is because of the great and fun relationship you have with your dad (who rocks! His music knowledge is incredible!), your unique and very fun sense of humor; talking to your animals, off the cuff remarks, your white board with the very interesting lists, and the list goes on!! And the the reasons I don’t like your channel is....ok give me a minute.....ok I’m sure I’ll think of something, I mean after all nothing’s perfect....ok it’ll come to me in a minute...still pondering...this might take a minute....be patient, I’m sure it’ll come to me...ok, obviously this might take awhile....let me get back to you on this.....!!!
I found something to not like about the channel. It took me a while but I found a genuine dis-likable dislike!! That dang racoon!! I dislike it to the max. Nasty, messy, destructive trash panda. Kick em out!!
Wellnive been hoping that the big strom in Canada made it tonu guys. Looks like ND Got it. Fingers crossed thanks for sharing the video. Love watching u and family Brian's song of the day allways make ne laugh then I listen it. Peace
Thanks for the video, hope that alarm beeper doesn't pop up later and turn out to be an issue. And if you want to catch that coon, use pieces of hot dog for bait, they can't leave that bait alone. They have something called dog proof traps that are also very effective for live trap smartened up coons, I've used both and you could release alive from both. But they also raid ground nesting birds nests, in case you know anyone who hunts pheasant in your area.
For me it was Telstar, by the Tornadoes, circa 1962-64. Burnt up my wooden wheels to that one. The floor guard had to "slow" me down lots of times when that played
I liked your dad's story of the recreation day memories. Good job at backing up that disc. Congratulation on the heifer sale, a lot of work went into those girls. 174 gallons of diesel, wow that's a lot, and I didn't do the math on that. That racoon can be a real problem, we had several families of them to deal with last year, most are gone now, but they will be back. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing and you all have a great weekend.
Cole - the constant beeper in the tractor is the Racoon alarm…
Too Funny
Brian, don't stress over bull day.
Stress isn't good for us old folks.
Never worry, just be concerned.
Happy Easter Sonne family (and fiancé). I saw Brian using a black slappy and my first thought was “I bet it’s name is Angus”.
The new shute equipment seems to be working out well. Love that swinging gate too
$$$$ Your cattle always looks so good. You can tell they’re well taken care of. Happy Easter to you and yours. Thanks for all the great videos.
Happy Easter Sonne Family and Sonne Farm fans!!! Aloha from Hawaii!!!
Aloha from Ireland!
I love it when you and the 🧠 open up and talk about finances. Make me feel like I am part of the frames family.
I watch your posts regularly just like a TV show love watching you guys work the cattle and the things you do with them to keep them healthy and vibrant they always look good
This is my TV show 😊. I don't watch TV at all anymore. I just watch farming videos. It's more wholesome and down to earth 👍👍✌️
@@Budd56 Same thing here. Disabled country boy
I liked the 3" rain comment! When I lived in Albuquerque, we used to talk about 12" rain the same way, but the drops were bigger! Here's hoping you get a bit more in this week.
Must be a great feeling to watch those full trucks pull away...hope you get some rain soon.
Most Americans appreciate all you farmers do to keep food on the table.
The new sorting system looks like it's really paying off with easier sorting and moving.
That system is pretty smart and efficient.
nice loading facility for the cattle and the trucker
Dick Clark was the best of bandstand Saturday, as it was here in Lazear. Also Casey Casum Saturday morning radio.
Used to play that game with a cardiologist I worked with. Dr. Defehr, I miss our music games, I miss you and miss our other game of stealing each other’s pen….

The way those heifers loaded speaks to how good your handling system is. 👏 Really glad you were happy with the sale Brian.
Omg Bandstand and rollerskating and name that song - I love the completely relatable stories from Brian. 💛💛💛
Feeder calves did well nice pay day. Cole don’t have to much fun at your buddies bachelor party. Good luck with the start of planting season.

Ahhhhhh. The South Dakota wind. Reminds me of an old saying (I've been saying it for years), the wind doesn't blow in South Dakota, it sucks.
You have the machinery and you have the cattle! 👍 Best of the both worlds……..

$1.45/ pound and I paid $22 for a 10 oz steak. You guys deserve to make more per cow with all the work you put into them!
I agree but that was not finished price, they sold to a finishing lot!

The question is how long will a full tank last on one of those mama jamas.. a few days, a few weeks. Depending on use of course.
@@sarahkingston7421 PTO rpm's on a 4020, 100 hp PTO, uses about 5 to 6 gal per hr baling hay, so 174 gallons = close to 30 hrs full tilt.
Great video. I remember working on the farm, it was so exciting to get a big check, then you pay all the bills, and poof it's all gone.
